"Boss Cipher, I'm back!"
Cipher, who was watching a movie in her bedroom, brightened up when she heard the voice and immediately rushed out of the bedroom.
The door opened, and Claire walked into the living room.
"Boss Cipher, have Lauren and the others woken up yet?"
"No," Cipher first shook her head, then stroked her chin, thought for a moment, and replied, "But their condition are much better now than when they first came back. They should be waking up soon, right?"
"Boss Cipher, I'll continue watching them here. If you have something to do and need to go out, just go ahead."
"By the way, how did you know I was about to go out?"
Cipher was a little confused. Based on her usual routine, she would either be playing games at home or going out with them.
Even if she went out alone, it would be in the early morning, but it was only afternoon now.
"Well, you suddenly ran off to interrogate Shen, and you looked so anxious. I thought you must have come up with an idea, right? So it's not surprising that you'd want to go out."
"That's true..." Hearing her explanation, Cipher didn't have any other thoughts. Her recent actions were indeed not very normal.
"Then I'll be leaving. If you encounter any danger, remember to send a message to my terminal!"
After reminding Claire, Cipher waved her hand and walked out the door.
"Bye-bye, Boss Cipher, I wish you success in your mission!"
Claire also waved her hand, bidding Cipher farewell.
The door closed, and Cipher looked at the terminal in her hand.
On the terminal, the closest Reverse Current Alliance sub-base was clearly displayed.
"Since you all want to catch me so badly, then why don't I come to your place first and collect some interest~"
As she said this, a curve formed on her lips, and then, accompanied by a flash of purple-gold light, Cipher instantly vanished from the spot...
"The address... it should be here, right?"
Looking at the address information and the picture of the sub-base gate on the terminal, Cipher looked up at the building in front of her. She tilted her head, feeling a bit confused.
This gate... it seemed somewhat similar to the one in the photo, but also somewhat different?
What was similar was that the architectural structure was exactly the same, but what was different was that the gate in the photo was just a simple tin door, whereas now... Cipher stared at the heavy-duty alloy electronic mechanical door in front of her, the kind only installed in critical experimental areas, and fell into deep thought.
"I remember Shen said this was a photo from two years ago, right? How could there be such a big change in just two years?"
"Forget it, maybe they received funding from somewhere in the past two years? That's why they became so rich and powerful."
Cipher didn't intend to think about it any further. Anyway, if the Reverse Current Alliance had received financial aid and become wealthy, it would be good for her. After all, wasn't that what she came for?
After dismissing her earlier random thoughts, Cipher looked at the front of the gate.
At this moment, there were only two armed guards standing in front of the door, but these two guards were no obstacle to her at all.
The main obstacle at present was this alloy gate.
Although she could easily bypass this obstacle by using Trickery Divine Power in conjunction with the system, this function still consumed credit points. Without knowing how many credit points it would consume, Cipher decided to use the most primitive method first.
That was to wait for someone to open the door, and then sneak in when the opportunity arose.
Hard work pays off, and before long, Cipher, who was leaning against the gate, heard a slight movement from the door behind her.
"Is it coming?"
Upon hearing the movement, Cipher immediately stood up and stared at the alloy door. Soon, the alloy door opened, and a middle-aged man holding a terminal and wearing a white lab coat hurried out through the door.
"Dr. Neil."
"Hello, Dr. Neil."
The moment they saw the middle-aged man, the two guards who were standing by the gate respectfully bowed their heads and greeted him.
The middle-aged man, however, ignored them and spoke into his terminal:
"I have now arrived at the entrance of Experimental Base 036. Take me to Combat Base 037 immediately; I have some urgent matters to attend to there."
After saying this, the middle-aged man put his terminal into his pocket and began to quietly wait for the car to arrive.
After a short while, a car drove up to the base entrance.
Seeing the car, the middle-aged man quickly walked to the back door of the car, pulled it open, and sat in the back seat.
A red light scanned the middle-aged man's face, quickly turning green, and the car began to broadcast a mechanical voice.
"Identity verification successful, Dr. Neil, welcome. Destination: Combat Base 037."
Once the mechanical voice finished, the car slowly started and drove towards its destination.
"Phew... two A+ level combatants died just like that... which force did they provoke again? The Alliance finally recovered some of its vitality, and now they're going to be severely weakened again!"
Sitting in the car, Neil grew more and more irritated the more he thought about it. He clenched his fist and slammed it hard against the leather seat beneath him.
"No, I still have to warn them, otherwise, there might be more problems recently. The death of two A+ level combatants is already a big enough problem."
Thinking this, Neil intended to pick up his terminal and send them a message, warning them not to act rashly recently. But when he reached for his pocket, Neil froze.
Because he found that his personal terminal, which he had placed in his pocket, was gone!
But soon, he began to feel all his pockets, only to find that all of them were empty.
Noticing this situation, his eyes gradually became incredulous, and then he frantically began searching for something.
However, after searching the seats and underneath them, he still couldn't find what he was looking for.
"Stop the car!"
At this moment, Neil shouted at the car, and with a screech of brakes, the car successfully stopped.
"Does Dr. Neil have any requests?"
"Turn around! Go back to Experimental Base 036 immediately!"
"Understood, as you wish."
Upon receiving the command, the car immediately turned around and drove back in the direction it came from.
Meanwhile, Neil, sitting in the back seat, was still searching for something, and at some point, beads of sweat had appeared on his forehead.
Actually, losing the terminal wasn't the most urgent thing; he could always buy another one later.
But the problem was that when he was looking for the terminal, he found all his pockets were empty, and a very important item of his was previously kept in the inner pocket of his clothes!
...
"Neil, Base Level Two Access Card? What's this for, opening doors?"
Looking at the card she had taken from the middle-aged man, Cipher fell into deep thought.
