In the Hongyan Building, glittering with gold and jade.
The Pipa Girl held her pipa, strumming melodious but melancholy notes.
The Qingliu faction, led by Song Yehuang, sat in order, their expressions solemn.
Yet the Princess of Central Capital did not sit at the head of the banquet but took the first seat on the left.
Second on the left was Song Yehuang.
The left seat was vacant, though it's an honorable position, it's a lower rank; by sitting here, the Princess of Central Capital made her stance clear.
Today was a "surrender banquet" filled with shame.
To the first generation of Qingliu, life counted for less than their ideals.
They would rather die than submit; if Song Yehuang had not insisted, they would never have been here.
At this moment, each and every one of them hung their heads solemnly, faces livid, as if water could drip from them.
