Jessica parked the car to the side and got out.
The beggar looked at Jessica in surprise, taking out a hundred US dollars:
"Did you give me the wrong amount?
Actually, I just need some change."
Jessica waved her hands repeatedly:
"No, no, no, that's not what I mean.
You misunderstood, I'm not short of this hundred dollars."
The beggar's eyes became even more puzzled.
Jessica frowned:
"I mean, why are you doing something so meaningless and without a future?"
The beggar let out a mocking laugh:
"You're quite boring.
I clean your car, and you pay me.
This is just a business transaction.
The things you're saying to me now, that's what's meaningless."
Jessica was stunned and opened her mouth in shock.
She was a company executive, with countless young talents under her, and she's used to dealing with numerous social elites. On the business battlefield, she was almost invincible.
Yet, she found herself stumped by a beggar.
She felt insulted.
