Li Shang's face was equally grave, his brows furrowed into a deep frown.
He was exceedingly puzzled. Before this, he had never met this Zheng Geng, and had only heard his name from Secretary Hou today. How could he have possibly offended him?
"This Special Commissioner's temper is even worse than what Secretary Hou warned about, and it's more than just an issue of temper."
Li Shang rubbed his aching temples, feeling a wave of fatigue wash over him.
He glanced sideways at the Mechanical Department personnel standing beside him, feeling their watchful eyes like a thorn in his back.
His mind spun wildly, and a surge of uncontrollable frustration rose within him:
"Is he so eager to label me a suspect just because of mistrust, or does he not want me to return and participate in the investigation, afraid I'll affect his case-solving? Steal his credit?"
Li Shang seemed to have figured out something.
Secretary Hou's reminder at the hospital initially led him to misjudge Zheng Geng.
