When Jeming gradually awoke from the deep coma, his vision was still a bit blurry.
He felt his eyelids heavy as lead, and the entire world swayed in a hazy light and shadow.
In a daze, he vaguely sensed a blurry figure beside him, seemingly quietly watching over him all along.
"You're awake." A gentle, healing female voice softly resonated in his ear, "Does your body feel any different?"
This voice was filled with concern, causing Jeming's nerves, tensed from the severe injuries, to subconsciously relax somewhat.
However, it was at this moment that his blurry vision finally refocused and became clear.
What followed was a bewildering disbelief.
Because he discovered that standing by his side, guarding him, was not a gentle female healer, but an automaton entirely constructed of a silvery-white liquid-metal-like substance, with joints flickering with blue energy light.
The gentle female voice was emitted from the voice device within this automaton's chest cavity.
