There have been tens of thousands of applications submitted nationwide, and more than 500 people have arrived at the hospital directly.
This caused the hematology department to explode, and the hospital intervened directly to start the relentless screening and review process.
The first step is to exclude those with certain financial means, as it's unnecessary to take up slots for patients who can't afford the high surgery costs if they can complete the transplant surgery themselves.
This step alone removed more than half, leaving only 320 people, all of whom are patients in financial difficulty.
Then, based on their medical conditions and matching situations, a screening is done to match with the national stem cell bank.
Only patients who currently have successful matches can undergo surgery, while the others have to continue waiting.
