"To put it simply, the Innate Eight Trigrams serves as the 'form,' while the Acquired Eight Trigrams is the 'function.'
"Once you've learned the 'form,' naturally you will also learn the 'function.'
"This is the Innate Eight Trigrams, a path of divination where the deeper the knowledge, the more accurate the divination."
"But in this world, not everyone has the chance to be literate or to cultivate..."
"Thus, for those illiterate and untrained commoners, the Acquired Eight Trigrams were born."
"Without needing to study the complex principles of heaven and earth or the Path of Yin and Yang, commoners can divine fortune and misfortune through reciting mantras. This is the Acquired Eight Trigrams."
Upon hearing these words, Qiong Xiao immediately understood.
In essence, the Acquired Eight Trigrams evolved from the Innate Eight Trigrams, a "fool-proof divination" method developed by Fu Kui specifically for the current situation of the Great Xia.
