A tiny Ginseng Doll quietly emerged from the soil, gazing up at the sky with an incredulous look in its eyes.
After months of violent storms, followed by recent unrest,
the Ginseng Doll almost believed it might never see sunshine again in its lifetime.

Not far from the Ginseng Doll,
a large dog with a horn on its head and leopard-like spots lazily swished its tail.
This big dog was a canine Spirit Monster wandering in the area, known as "Jiao."
Because it excelled in hunting and enjoyed chasing various Spirit Monsters in the mountains, it was quite well-known in the Hundred Lands Mountain Range.
As for this little Ginseng Doll?
In every sense, it could be considered Jiao's "foster father."
After all, though the Ginseng Doll appeared tender and young, it was actually at least a five-hundred-year-old ginseng spirit.
