Chapter 96 — The "Purity Ball" of the Blonde Bombshell

"I heard my dad say that if I go with him to this event—something called a Purity Ball—he'll give me his car. I figured I could sell it for a few hundred bucks."

Karen's voice turned soft and pleading.

"So… can you come a little later?

If Eddie sees the car you're giving me, he might change his mind. Pleaaase~"

Her tone was practically begging.

And honestly—Karen being Karen—she somehow made even begging sound flirtatious.

"Alright," William chuckled. "Sure. No problem. I'll come later."

He hung up and immediately put on a pure spectator's expression, like someone about to enjoy a drama show from the front row.

No way… the plot really is that stubborn.

Eddie was still taking Karen to the Purity Ball?

That iconic scene was too legendary to miss.

William shoved Theresa—who was still straddling him—aside without ceremony.

"Get dressed. We're going back to campus."

He didn't even wait for her response, already pulling his clothes back on.

Truthfully, even Theresa didn't understand what she felt for William anymore.

She'd been a "third party" before.

But this… felt completely different from being Gregory's side piece.

With Gregory, it was mostly about benefits. About herself.

With William, it was like she'd been truly hooked.

That danger. That thrill.

For a girl like her—lost her mother young, grew up rich, never got along with her father—

that kind of chaos was pure poison.

And she was addicted.

Even if William stopped holding evidence over her head, she had the feeling she'd still follow him anyway—dragged by her own desire, willingly sinking deeper into the same darkness.

---

Ten minutes later, inside William's dorm—

Theresa had already returned to the sorority house.

Amanda could show up here at any moment, and Theresa didn't want to gamble.

Neither did William.

He opened his laptop and searched.

"Purity Ball… location: … Good."

He snapped the computer shut.

"Perfect. I can't miss this famous moment."

Keys in hand, William left the dorm building, climbed into the pink BMW, and drove toward the address.

---

Time flew.

By evening, across another part of the South Side—

Inside an old church, its walls aged and peeling with time—

a group of middle-aged men, all in suits, stood gathered together.

Each one had a young girl beside him, dressed in pure white.

Father and daughter.

Pairs.

Karen sat among them, tense from head to toe.

If Eddie hadn't promised her a car just for showing up, she wouldn't have come anywhere near this creepy event.

Slowly, she stood up.

Her eyes swept across everyone present—

even the priest seated at the center, acting as host.

It was time for the girls to confess their "improper behavior,"

to beg forgiveness from God—

so they could be "cleansed"…

and become "pure" again.

Of course, the only people who believed in this "theory" were Eddie, the pack of perverts sitting in the room, and that priest in the middle who clearly had an unhealthy obsession with little boys.

Anyone with a normal IQ wouldn't buy it.

And speaking of that…

America is actually a country with a huge faith culture.

92% of Americans believe God exists.

That's also one of the reasons cults thrive so easily here.

People over here believe too hard.

---

With everyone staring at her with expectation, Karen had no choice but to slowly speak.

"My behavior… may not have been very ladylike. But it was all instinct, and I feel deeply ashamed about it."

After saying that, Karen tried to sit down.

But seeing her brush it off so perfunctorily, the priest was visibly displeased.

"Karen! If you want complete purification, you must be as honest as possible!"

Karen glanced at Eddie.

At this point, Karen hadn't truly come to hate Eddie yet.

She already disliked him intensely—but it hadn't reached hatred.

"It's okay, sweetheart," Eddie said, giving her a reassuring look. "Just tell them what happened."

Seeing that, Karen decided to give him some face.

"Alright, Dad."

After all… he was her biological father.

What she didn't know was that this exact moment of trust would push their father-daughter relationship into irreversible collapse.

---

Karen looked back at everyone again and began, with a straight face, to describe her past sexual experiences.

[This part is too explicit to display.]

"…and I started to feel… really good.

But I'm not proud of it."

That last sentence was obviously said for the car.

She even shot Eddie a glance.

But deep inside?

Karen was thinking:

Proud? Are you kidding me? I'm proud as hell.

---

Still—nearly everyone in the room changed expression.

They hadn't expected it.

This girl looked so clean, so pale, so delicate…

Yet she was insanely wild in private.

Karen continued.

"But a few times I felt like—"

[This part is too explicit to display.]

"It felt really good… but I also felt guilty."

"Later, one time I slept over at Mindy Carlson's house. Our whole class showered together."

"And we started putting soap on each other…"

"Then her mom walked in and almost died from shock."

"Because she saw…"

Karen paused.

"Oh God—you really should've seen her face."

At this point, Karen had basically worked herself up—she was fully in the zone.

Humans naturally want to share stories, and Karen was no different.

---

But Eddie wasn't having it anymore.

He'd thought his daughter might be a little "bad."

He hadn't expected her to be this bad.

So he stood up and screamed at her:

"You whore! A whore doesn't deserve a car!"

In an instant, the entire room went dead silent.

Karen didn't cry.

She didn't scream.

She just looked at Eddie—

and the look in her eyes slowly… changed.

---

To be honest, this kind of event had basically zero security.

William had blended into the crowd perfectly, hiding in a corner and enjoying the drama the whole time—no one had noticed him once.

But now that the famous scene was over, it was time to move.

He needed to go to Karen's house and keep watch.

Because if Karen snapped and started sleeping around out of spite—

and she ended up with Lip—

then William's reward would be gone.

Sure, Lip currently had [Erectile Dysfunction] hanging over his head, so at best he could only "handle things himself."

But what if the system counted that too?

William wasn't taking the gamble.

There were countless "white moonlights."

But "golden moonlight"?

Only one.

---

The Jackson House

Karen kicked the front door open.

She ripped off her coat and stormed inside.

"Karen? Sweetie?"

Sheila immediately sensed something was wrong and called after her.

But Karen ignored her completely, heading straight for the basement entrance where Eddie lived.

She yanked up the basement door.

"Sweetheart, what's wrong?" Sheila asked, still clueless. "Did the ball end already?"

Karen charged down into the basement.

"Sweetie? Karen?"

Sheila chased after her.

But Karen acted like she couldn't hear anything.

Then—

BANG!

Karen started smashing things.

"KAREN! Baby! What happened?!"

Sheila was terrified and worried at the same time.

Karen didn't answer.

She just kept destroying things and screaming:

"He said he was proud of me!"

"Bullshit!"

"Damn it!"

"What was that crap about 'you reminded me of my first communion'?!"

"He humiliated me!"

"He made me think he loved me!"

---

Of course, that last line wasn't entirely accurate.

Karen had never truly believed Eddie loved her.

She wasn't stupid.

She'd realized her dad was a pervert when she was still very young.
