The next day arrived.
Uchiha Shisui and Itachi watched as Feng Bai's squad departed.
According to the predetermined plan, Feng Bai and his team arrived at the front lines early, waiting for the order to launch the full assault.
"Yo, Feng Bai! Still brimming with energy, I see!"
Not far from their position, Might Guy flashed a thumbs-up, his teeth gleaming brilliantly.
"Yeah, you're here too, Guy—and Mr. Chōza."
Feng Bai nodded to Guy, then politely greeted Chōza.
"Hahaha, get fired up! The assault's about to begin."
Chōza's laughter remained as hearty as ever, though he deliberately lowered his tone.

As a purple signal flare shot into the sky, the gentle smile vanished from Chōza's face, replaced by unprecedented resolve: "Super Multi-Size Technique!"
Enlarging his entire body and transforming into a giant, Chōza used his massive form to kick off the assault.
Watching Chōza swing an enormous weapon and smash a huge breach in the Kirigakure defenses, Feng Bai and the others followed the main force, charging through the gap.

Listening to Kakashi's analysis and feeling the damp air, Feng Bai licked his lips, deciding to take action: "If it's the latter, that works in our favor; but if it's the former..."

Eager to show off before his teammates, Feng Bai drew White Fang and unleashed his newly mastered jutsu.

Shortly after Feng Bai's attack, two kunai whistled toward the group. Sensing danger, Feng Bai raised his hand and created a simple ice wall to block the assault.

Squinting at the two kunai embedded in the ice wall, Feng Bai spoke coldly.
If he hadn't intercepted them, those kunai would have struck his vital points with deadly precision—they were definitely not random throws.
Realizing this, Feng Bai didn't hesitate. Relying on instinct, he hurled shuriken toward the direction of the attack, then rapidly formed hand seals: "Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique!"
They have quality, I have quantity.
A dense barrage of shuriken flew in Feng Bai's intended direction before falling silent.
The group stood back-to-back, guarding against attacks from their unseen enemy.
"Over here!"
Two more kunai flew toward them, but this time the direction had changed—the target was now Rin.
Standing to Rin's right, Obito used his Sharingan to spot the kunai and threw his own shuriken to intercept them.
"Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique!"
Unwilling to remain a sitting duck, Obito unleashed a fire jutsu, but the surging flames disappeared into the distance without effect.
"This is too passive. Find cover—"
Kakashi didn't finish his sentence. He immediately crouched down, formed hand seals, and slammed his palms on the ground: "Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!"
An earth wall carved with dog heads rose from the ground, only to be blasted apart by an explosion.
This time, the kunai were wrapped with explosive tags.
The blast scattered the team's formation, but also allowed Obito to glimpse the enemy's silhouette.
No time for hesitation now!
"Kamui!"
"Ugh!"
A muffled groan rang out—the long-range dōjutsu prevented the enemy from escaping as planned, causing them to crash to the ground instead.
"Ice Release: Impaler's Lance!"
Seizing the opportunity, Feng Bai employed his ice technique to skewer the fallen enemy, pinning them midair in a grotesque pose.
Seeing his attack connect, Feng Bai didn't lower his guard. Just as he was about to approach and check for a possible Body Replacement Technique, a subconscious warning made him instinctively activate Flying Thunder God.
Instantly teleporting to Obito's side, Feng Bai threw several senbon back toward his previous position.

"Who are you?"
Though the thick mist obscured their vision, the close proximity allowed Feng Bai and the others to make out the attacker's appearance.
The newcomer wasn't particularly old, sporting blue hair and unremarkable features—most notably, his right eye was covered by an eyepatch.
He looks familiar, but I can't recall where I've seen him.
"Ah, so that's it. No wonder you can see us clearly through this mist—it's because of the Byakugan, isn't it?"
Kakashi was the first to catch on. Noticing the bulging veins around the eyepatch, he identified their opponent.
"S-rank wanted criminal Ao, who stole the Hyūga clan's Byakugan."
"This eye is my precious trophy."
Ao didn't deny his identity, his gaze still fixed intently on Feng Bai: "But an Ice Release Kekkei Genkai shinobi is also Kirigakure's precious bloodline. I absolutely cannot allow Konoha to exploit you!"
"What nonsense are you spouting? Feng Bai is our Konoha comrade, and always will be."
Obito retorted against this detestable enemy, then subtly hooked Feng Bai's finger, using their code to ask if he could employ his dōjutsu to eliminate Ao.
