Piccolo wasn't the only one who sensed that Frieza hadn't unleashed his true strength.
Even Frieza himself noticed that this Namekian was holding something back.
Frieza muttered, puzzled, "Strange… what happened to this Namekian in such a short time? How did his power increase so much?"
Vegeta, who had been fleeing, stopped mid-flight when he realized Piccolo and Frieza were clashing evenly.
He turned back, glaring at the battlefield in disbelief.
"What the hell? Frieza's strength has grown, but somehow this Namekian's power has also skyrocketed. Damn it… what's going on?"
His confusion quickly turned into frustration.
He was the proud Saiyan prince, yet now he felt like a rat scurrying in the shadows.
Though his pride resisted, Vegeta had to admit it—Piccolo's power was now far beyond his own.
Compared to them, he was like an infant. That was the humiliation he hated most.
The Z Warriors arrived at the new battlefield but kept their distance, afraid to get too close.
Piccolo's current battle was fiercer than any before.
Yamcha's eyes widened. "Incredible… Piccolo's fusion made him this strong? His power must have multiplied several times over."
"Yeah. At this point, comparing ourselves to him would just break us," Tien Shinhan said with a wry smile.
"Come on, Uncle Piccolo, defeat Frieza!" Gohan shouted with excitement.
Chiaotzu stayed quietly beside Tien Shinhan, his eyes fixed on the battle.
"This time, Piccolo might actually beat him," Krillin said, watching closely. "After all, Frieza's already in his final form."
"I think so too," Yamcha agreed.
The fight raged on.
Piccolo and Frieza traded blows in the sky, then crashed back to the ground, only to launch into the air again. The battlefield shook under their power.
After one violent clash, the two broke apart and glared at each other.
Frieza smirked. "Not bad, Namekian. But this is the end. Even with your improvement, you're still no match for me!"
"Hmph! Still boasting?" Piccolo growled, fists tightening. To him, Frieza's arrogance was nothing more than mockery.
"Frieza, you'll pay the price for underestimating me!"
Piccolo's aura exploded, his power skyrocketing to six million.
"Oooh… excellent," Frieza said, amused. "Then I'll just have to demonstrate a little more of my own ability."
He spread his arms wide, ki flaring around him.
Piccolo felt the surge and grit his teeth. "His strength keeps climbing… Damn it, how much power does he have?"
Frieza wagged his tail and crossed his arms smugly. "Tell you what, Namekian. From now on, I won't even use my hands against you. Consider it a gift."
"Bastard! There's a limit to arrogance!" Piccolo roared, enraged.
But then he smirked. "Fine. That arrogance will be your downfall, Frieza."
Seeing Frieza's guard lowered filled Piccolo with determination. This was his chance to go all out and crush him.
Meanwhile, Frieza didn't care what the Namekian thought.
When one's power was overwhelming, such concerns were meaningless.
Piccolo charged, launching a storm of blows.
From afar, Vegeta noticed Frieza fighting with arms crossed.
"Damn it!" Vegeta spat. "Frieza's strength is terrifying enough, and yet he's not even serious! Why?! Damn him!"
He wanted to run, but a sudden Death Beam streaked past his face, forcing him to stop cold.
His lips twitched in fury. "Damn Frieza…"
Frieza sneered at him from the distance.
Piccolo saw the distraction and frowned.
He's mocking me… even while fighting me at three-quarters of my power?
That realization chilled him.
If Frieza could fight like this without effort, then his true strength might not just rival Piccolo's—it could surpass it.
The Z Warriors were equally shaken.
"No way…" Krillin gasped.
"Piccolo's this powerful, and yet he still can't dominate Frieza? He isn't even using his hands!"
Tien Shinhan's expression darkened. "Then we need to face the truth. If Piccolo can't win, what do we do?"
A heavy silence followed. None of them had ever felt so powerless.
But Gohan clenched his fists, shouting, "Uncle Piccolo won't die! And we won't either! My dad will come—he has to!"
"Yeah!" Yamcha added, his hope reigniting. "We still have Goku!"
Krillin, Tien, and Chiaotzu nodded firmly.
Their last and greatest hope was Son Goku.
As long as Goku arrived… everything could change.
