Chapter 314 - Chapter 175: I've Become a Monster, Too!

"Akainu lost?"

On the Endgame, Nami was first stunned, then punched the air in celebration, "As expected of big brother!"

"Celebrating too soon, it won't be that simple."

Kuina gazed at the sea and gently shook her head:

"In this world, no one can defeat a Navy Grand Admiral so easily. If falling into the sea meant losing combat ability, then most of the top-tier fighters at the world's peak wouldn't be ability users."

Huh???

Nami was full of question marks.

What could be done after falling into the sea?

The last time she was napping at the bow, she just turned over and fell into the water.

Right on the spot, she was weak and her mind was scattered. If it weren't for Ah Yin spotting her, immediately jumping in to drag her back onto the ship, she would have nearly drowned.

Kuina was at a loss for words.

Can you really compare to a Navy Grand Admiral?

She sighed, just about to explain, but seemed to sense something, turning her gaze seriously to the distance.

"Have they arrived?"

By now it was almost dusk.

In the sunset.

To the north, southwest, and southeast, almost simultaneously, traces of the Navy Fleet appeared, with different base numbers on the sails.

The other crew members followed her gaze and also noticed this scene, their expressions varied immediately.

"We're surrounded!"

Nojiko couldn't wait to put on her Secret Silver Gloves, her fists clashing heavily, as a sharp chill spread out, "Hehe, just in time. No fight at Fishman Island left me itching for one."

"Are we going to engage in a naval battle?" Robin chuckled. In the past, approaching enemy ships would have been difficult for her, but now she had mastered Moonwalk, and could even use her fruit ability to sprout wings, boasting considerable combat power at sea.

"G-1, G-5, G-14."

Smoker exhaled a puff of smoke, drawing a jitte from behind, and said whimsically, "The Navy Fleet from the New World's three major branches is mobilized simultaneously. Tsk, that's quite an honor."

"Let's stick to the usual plan, everyone!"

Nami confidently patted her chest, "Leave the troublesome Navy Vice Admirals and such to you guys. As for the Captains and grunts, this Flame-Flame Fruit ability user will hold them off for you!"

"Really?"

Zeff continued to leisurely clean up the dinner table, "Just a reminder, you're in the New World now. Even the low-ranking navy can use Haki."

"What? That's so unfair?!"

Nami's face fell, her eyes darting towards Jack, "Then I'll leave my mission to you, Jack. I'll just stay and guard the ship, making sure no cannonballs hit it!"

"No problem, big sister!" Jack grinned in response.

"Can you handle it alone?" Smoker glanced sideways at Nami.

"No worries, I'll stay as well, frontlines are for you younger ones."

Zeff picked up the last few plates, he said with a cheerful smile.

That seemed fine, with Zeff's leg technique, ensuring the Endgame stayed intact wouldn't be a problem. Smoker nodded, averting his gaze, as Nami glared at him resentfully.

"We'll go with this plan."

Kuina placed her right hand on the hilt of her sword, taking a deep breath, "We must take the offensive, intercept those ships at a distance. We absolutely cannot let them interfere with Lord Xiano, understood?"

"Understood!"

"Then get ready for battle!"

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Several figures stepped off the deck, speeding out with Moonwalk, grouped in pairs or threes, charging towards the warships in the three different directions.

...

On the shore.

Dor was still staring at the sea, logically, she should have already returned to her ship, joining up with the other Vice Admiral of the G-14 Branch, instructing her fleet to complete the encirclement.

But... if Grand Admiral Akainu had lost combat ability, what was the point of encircling?

Besides, she couldn't possibly believe that Akainu was a man to be taken down so easily...

BOOM!!!

At that precise moment, the vast stretch of sea near the old lighthouse suddenly began to churn violently.

Just as expected!

In Dor's eyes, there was a flash of delight.

In her pupils, the originally azure sea centered around where Akainu sank was astonishingly turning a fiery red at a visible speed.

In just a matter of seconds, within a few hundred meters around, the sea surface was boiling wholly, the tumbling waves transformed into scorching lava, turning the entire sea area into a Purgatory Fire Sea!

Whoosh!

Surging magma burst through the sea surface, Akainu emerged upon a towering magma pillar, engulfed in flames, as though he were a red demon crawling out of Hell.

"Indeed, it wasn't that simple."

Shano, as if having anticipated this scene, spoke leisurely.

For these top-tier fighters who've roamed the sea for decades, falling into the ocean is certainly no rare occurrence; they can always find a way out.

Akainu's solution was straightforward.

— which was to envelop himself entirely in a dense layer of Armament Haki, effectively isolating seawater.

Then using his ability to remove the surrounding water, or rather, convert it into another substance, and ascend to the sea surface again.

That sounded simple.

But it was exceedingly difficult to achieve.

For a fruit ability user fully immersed in sea water, that feeble and weak feeling is no joke.

Those with weaker willpower can't even muster a bit of Haki, let alone coat themselves completely and isolate the seawater.

Only true strongmen like Akainu, with a formidable will, could erupt in such dire straits, neutralizing the sea's malice and lethal intentions towards fruit ability users!

"Kid..."

Akainu's face was grim, yet his eyes were full of serious focus on Shano.
