Loki, cloaked in the false mantle of the King of Asgard, had engineered a plan of such cynical, multi-layered complexity that it satisfied his ambition, his pride, and his craving for vengeance. It was a masterpiece of deceit, a self-serving chain reaction designed to incinerate all obstacles to the throne and leave him standing as the sole, glorious savior.
First, his personal vendetta against Su Yi required a guarantee of victory. He spent hours in the royal armory, not only acquiring a new, exquisitely enchanted dagger but also directing the royal smiths.
The new weapon was alloyed with the hardest-known celestial metals and laced with concentrated, crystallized magic, designed to penetrate even the dense, strange hide of that "god-slayer" mortal. It was a perfect, chilling weapon for a coup de grâce.
Second, the elimination of Thor was paramount. The current trip to Midgard was merely a pretense to "rescue Thor." In front of The Warriors Three and Sif, Loki couldn't openly murder his brother; he needed chaos.
If the mortal Su Yi eliminated Thor in the ensuing battle, it would be "retaliation." But if that failed, Loki had a backup plan already set in motion: he had already contacted the Frost Giants, informing their King, Laufey, of Odin's vulnerable Odinsleep.
Laufey, desperate for revenge, was instructed to lie in wait near the Bifrost Bridge on Asgard. When Loki and the returning party brought Thor back, the lurking Frost Giants would seize the opportunity, targeting the unpowered Thor as a political statement, eliminating him in the chaos.
Finally, the ultimate victory: Loki's pre-arranged contact with Laufey also included a secret promise—a way to sneak into the palace to assassinate Odin in his slumber. This was the glorious trap.
Just as Laufey prepared to plunge a blade into the Allfather, Loki would "arrive in time," kill Laufey himself, and emerge not as the temporary King, but as the true Savior of Asgard, the vanquisher of the Frost Giants and the protector of his sleeping father.
Every single obstacle—the mortal champion, the true heir Thor, and the hostile King Laufey—would be cleared, leaving Loki, the God of Schemes, unchallenged.
The plan was a flawless, deadly chain of events.
With his meticulous preparation complete, Loki began to implement the first phase: the invasion of Midgard. This time, he brought overwhelming force. He did not lead a small squad; he marshaled a visible army to ensure the world—and the universe—saw Asgard's strength.
He led the three most loyal friends of his brother (The Warriors Three), the fierce warrior Sif, a main force of hundreds of Royal Guards, and, most crucially, the Destroyer—the ancient, self-animating suit of Asgardian armor, forged to be the ultimate weapon against any threat to the throne.
The Destroyer's combat power was legendary and absolutely devastating; it was Loki's biggest, most confident trump card.
Standing before the ranks of formidable Asgardian warriors, Loki, holding the spear Gungnir (which he had brazenly taken from Odin's trophy room), was utterly confident.
"Warriors of Asgard!" Loki's voice boomed, resonating with theatrical authority that echoed through the Hall of Guardians. "Yesterday, a miserable, blasphemous mortal from Midgard dared to break into the Divine Realm!"
His rhetoric was potent, feeding their pride and fury. "This mortal not only stole Mjolnir, our most sacred artifact, but he has captured Thor, the true Prince of Asgard! He defies the rule of the Allfather and seeks to enslave our true heir!"
Loki's eyes, burning with calculated rage, swept across the hundreds of faces. "To this unprecedented insult, we must respond with overwhelming force! Our mission is two-fold: Rescue Thor, slay that audacious mortal, and make them pay the price for their disrespect!"
"The dignity of the Divine Realm must not be challenged! For Asgard!"
A unified, thunderous roar of "FOR ASGARD!" answered him, stirring the emotions of all the warriors.
Thor's four closest companions, however, felt a gnawing unease. Loki taking the initiative to 'rescue' Thor, and doing so with such a massive, aggressive display, felt profoundly wrong.
Sif, however, had a fiery temper and a deep loyalty that outweighed her skepticism. Thor had been stripped of his divine power and was now a mere mortal. Now, he was allegedly captured and in danger. Sif's endurance had snapped; she was consumed by killing intent, vowing to retrieve Thor and avenge his humiliation.
As the army prepared to step into the beam, Heimdall, his face heavy with doubt, offered a final, quiet caution to the King. "You must proceed with caution, My King. Do not provoke unnecessary conflict."
Loki sneered, holding Gungnir tightly. "Heimdall, you are a loyal man, but you are also overly cautious. I am the King of Asgard now. You should learn to obey my orders without question." He leveled the spear at the gatekeeper. "Open the Bifrost Bridge. Obey my command!"
Heimdall could not refuse the King's direct, armed command. He could only hope that his foresight was wrong and that the situation would not escalate into a tragedy.
With a blinding flare of light and an Earth-shaking roar, Heimdall opened the Bifrost Bridge, teleporting Loki, the Destroyer, and the entire invading force to Midgard.
A colossal beam of multicolored energy descended from the sky over the remote New Mexico desert, landing precisely in the abandoned zone just outside the containment area. The ground where the beam touched down erupted, vaporizing the sand and rock into a colossal crater.
Then, figures materialized within the beam—hundreds of gleaming golden and silver Asgardian figures, their armor catching the desert sun. The air immediately filled with the sound of thousands of pounds of celestial metal settling on the soil, and the menacing, silent hum of the Destroyer armor at the front of the formation.
Su Yi's clone, positioned discreetly on the periphery of the desert, opened his eyes. He quietly watched the display, analyzing the troop movements and, most importantly, the enormous, silent Destroyer.
In the distance behind the Bifrost landing site, the S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel were on high alert. Coulson and his team, seeing the sheer number of figures and the enormous, metallic behemoth, knew that Su Yi was right.
"Full evacuation of the perimeter, now! We are not engaging this force unless that metal thing moves toward the town," Agent Coulson ordered into his comms, his voice tight with controlled urgency. "Have the air support ready, but keep them out of visual range. We stand down and observe. That's a direct order."
Su Yi, who was back in Jane Foster's lab in town, instantly received the mental feed from his clone. "Loki is here, and he's brought a veritable army. A serious one, not just a handful of guards. I need to go teach Loki a lesson he won't forget."
Jane was incredibly worried, her eyes wide with fear for him. "Su, you won't get hurt, will you? That… that looked like a whole army!"
"Of course not, Jane. I'm very, very strong. Worry about documenting this."
Thor, standing nearby, also knew that Su Yi was powerful, but if a war truly broke out, it wouldn't be good for either side. He had to stop this. He had to prove his worth by protecting the very people he had endangered.
"I must go too," Thor declared, his jaw set with desperate resolve. "I can persuade Loki. He is still my brother, and my friends are with him. I must prevent my home from harming this world."
"I'll take you," Su Yi said, already moving.
Su Yi comforted Jane with a confident smile, gave Darcy a brief, reassuring look, and then, grasping Thor's arm, they instantly teleported.
In the blink of an eye, Su Yi and Thor appeared directly between Loki's intimidating force and the desolate road leading to the town.
Loki, seeing the two appear out of thin air, smiled, a cold, predatory expression that didn't reach his eyes. He adopted his most theatrical, condescending posture and loudly addressed Su Yi.
"Humble mortal! You have blasphemed the gods, kidnapped a Prince, and stolen a sacred relic! You will surely suffer divine punishment!" Loki raised Gungnir like a scepter. "Hand over Thor and Mjolnir now, and I will be merciful and forgive your sins! Otherwise, this world will pay the price for your disrespect!"
The moment Sif saw Thor standing there, looking powerless, she was overwhelmed with relief and then a protective fury. She charged forward, her sword already drawn, taking the lead before Loki could utter another word.
"Mortal, release Thor! We have come to rescue the true Prince!" she shouted, her shield raised.
Thor's three loyal friends—Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogun—charged out behind her, a blur of red, green, and iron.
Seeing this chaotic, immediate reaction, Loki's smile widened. Perfect. The moment is mine.
Thor, however, saw the imminent disaster. "Sif, what are you doing!? Stop!"
"I'm saving you, Thor!" she yelled back.
"I'm fine! I don't need you to save me! Loki is lying!" Thor pleaded, but it was too late.
Facing the aggressive Sif, Su Yi merely stood his ground. As Sif's blade swept toward him, he moved with blurring speed, seizing her sword arm and gently, almost dismissively, disarming her with a twist of her wrist. The sword clattered harmlessly onto the dust.
"Thor, she's yours," Su Yi said calmly, pushing the disarmed warrior toward her friend.
Sif was utterly shocked, easily "defeated" by a flick of the mortal's wrist. She prepared to fight again, humiliated, but Thor grabbed her shoulders firmly.
"Sif! Calm down! You are embarrassing yourself! Look at me—I am not harmed!"
Sif looked at Thor, confusion replacing her fury. "Thor, are you truly unharmed? Loki said you were captured, that your mind was controlled, and Mother sent us to bring you back."
Thor knew he had to stop his army now. He opened his mouth to explain, but before a word could escape, Loki's voice boomed across the desert, cutting him off:
"Everyone! Attack! Rescue Thor! Ignore the mortal's spells!"
Thor felt the terrible premonition of large-scale war. If a fight breaks out, if one Midgardian is harmed, everything will be beyond redemption.
Su Yi, holding Mjolnir, met the rushing charges of Thor's three good brothers with an air of profound boredom. He sidestepped Fandral's flourish, tripped Volstagg with a light tap of his foot, and caught Hogun's mace, absorbing the full force of the blow into his own palm. He tossed the three Warriors into a neat pile behind Thor, effectively clearing the battlefield.
Through his connection with the hammer, Su Yi felt a sharp, profound shift in Thor. The exiled god was no longer just angry; he was demonstrating genuine, selfless leadership. Now, he's almost worthy, just that tiny, last spark left...
Thor turned and rushed to the front of the Asgardian warriors, shouting loudly, his voice raw with desperation. "Stop! In the name of Thunder God Thor, Son of Odin, I command you to stop! I was banished by the Allfather! This exile is the punishment I deserve! I was not coerced at all; I am here voluntarily and in peace!"
The Asgardian warriors hesitated, their momentum broken by the voice of their true prince and the confusion of seeing their respected companions effortlessly dispatched. They stopped in their tracks.
But Loki would not let go of his opportunity. He raised Gungnir high, seizing the narrative. "Do not listen to him! His mind has been twisted and controlled by this dark sorcerer from Midgard! The mortal champion has corrupted our Prince!"
Loki's face was a mask of false grief. "Once Thor is rescued, I will take him back and have Mother heal his mind! Now, as your King, I command you, the Royal Guard, to stand down!"
Loki then turned his attention to the true engine of war, which stood silently behind the ranks of the bewildered infantry.
"Destroyer! Ignore these petty conflicts! Your mandate is clear! Destroy the mortal champion and retrieve Mjolnir! Attack!"
The colossal, golden-plated armor, which had been standing motionless, suddenly came to terrifying life. A massive head rotated slowly, its single, glowing red ocular slot fixing itself on Su Yi. The metal behemoth raised its enormous, featureless gauntlet, and a plume of blue-white energy began to coalesce at its core, generating a silent, oppressive heat.
Thor screamed, "NO, LOKI! IT WILL DESTROY THEM ALL!"
But Loki merely smiled, a victorious, chilling expression that promised only death and ruin.
The Destroyer, Asgard's ultimate weapon, is now activated and focused entirely on Su Yi. What do you think Su Yi will need to do to stop a walking fortress of that magnitude?
