Chapter 990 - Chapter 407: No Family on the Field

After chatting with Little Sirius for a few more moments, Harry hung up the phone and called Vivi again.

Vivi was sleeping, still wearing the lake blue nightcap Harry had bought her.

When she answered the phone, she opened her eyes a bit groggily.

"What's up?" she asked sleepily.

"Uh, you were asleep." Harry said somewhat embarrassedly, "I'll call you again tomorrow then..."

"I'm trying to get over jet lag..." Vivi said with a yawn, "Just go ahead, you've already woken me up anyway."

She sat up, leaning against the bed, and placed the Crystal Ball on her lap.

"Here's the situation." Harry explained the matter of Peter Pettigrew's suspected resurrection in detail to Vivi.

"Is such a thing even possible?" Vivi was stunned for a moment before asking, "Are you sure?"

"Not really sure, but it's very likely." Harry said, which was almost like saying nothing at all.

Vivi pondered for a moment, then said to Harry, "I think such a possibility is extremely unlikely because if I were Voldemort, I would prefer to resurrect those more capable Death Eaters rather than that cowardly wastrel Peter Pettigrew."

"Certainly." Vivi said again before Harry could respond, "There is still a possibility though; with Lanlock's assistance, the cost for Voldemort to resurrect people could have been reduced to the point where resurrecting one more Peter Pettigrew doesn't matter."

"Well, if that's the case, we're facing a rather serious situation." Harry said with a grim expression, "This matter needs to be communicated to Dumbledore promptly..."

"You didn't tell him?" Vivi asked surprised.

"Dumbledore went to Wizengamot today." Harry shrugged, "So I spoke with Little Sirius and you first."

"Alright, leave it to me then." Vivi said, "I'll give Dumbledore a call shortly and let him know about this."

After hanging up the phone, Harry sat on the bed, contemplating the possibility that Vivi had mentioned.

It's pretty darn scary.

The next day, breakfast was as lively as usual. Every member of the Gryffindor Team entered the hall with loud boos and jeers from the Slytherins.

Even though Gryffindor and Slytherin weren't as adversarial now, when it comes to matches... booing is just part of the competition.

If you can't handle it, don't play.

Especially Draco, who laughed the loudest, and kept taunting Ron, making him so angry his face turned red.

"If I were the batter, you'd be finished." Ron said loudly to Draco.

However, Draco couldn't care less, even making faces at Ron.

The Gryffindor table was bright red and gold, as Harry and Ron walked over, their classmates cheered enthusiastically. Harry, looking very leadership-like, waved at them, but instead of stopping the cheers, the classmates stood up, jumped around raising their hands, in a manner that would have earned a general's approval.

"Eat some food." Ron said to Harry, still somewhat excitable, "Little Slytherins? Today's the day! I must let Malfoy know, on the Hogwarts street, ask around who's the boss!"

"Just eat." Hermione rolled her eyes, "Stuffing your mouth still won't shut you up, watch out or you'll bite your tongue in the excitement!"

Ron took the milk from Hermione and drank it dry in one gulp.

"I feel pretty good today." he said, "No worries, Gryffindor is bound to win!"

"Time's about up!" Harry said cheerfully.

They walked briskly towards the stadium, stepping on the frosty grass with a crunching sound.

"Such good weather, really lucky, isn't it?" Harry asked Ron.

"Sure is." Ron said with a laugh, stretching his body as he walked, looking well-prepared.

Ginny and Demirza were already dressed in their Quidditch robes, waiting in the changing room.

"He seems pretty confident, huh." Ginny said to Harry—she was referring to Ron.

"Ha." Ron scoffed, still holding a grudge from Ginny's teasing yesterday.

Pain, too much pain!

It was like peeling off scar tissue!

Sharing a bed with a rat isn't such a big deal, but the problem is, that rat turned out to be a balding middle-aged man.

That's a real kick in the teeth.

Gryffindor players also gathered in the changing room; after changing clothes, they gathered in anticipation.

"Alright, guys." Harry said.

"And girls." Ginny reminded.

Harry took a deep breath.

He remembered the first time standing in the Quidditch match, when the old captain Oliver Wood gave a pep talk, only for Angelina Johnson to remind him exactly like this.

"It's like we're back in the good old days, right?" Harry said to the only remaining senior player, Katie.

Katie smiled warmly, also recalling the old captain Wood and Angelina.

"Alright, many of you are new to the Quidditch team this year." Harry told them, "But don't be nervous, we've never lost to Slytherin on the field—since I joined this team, they haven't been able to defeat us, so what you need to do is believe in yourselves, believe in me, got it?"

"Yes! Captain!" everyone shouted.

The morale was high.

"So what strategy should we use?" Demirza asked.

"Your strategy is to eliminate those Slytherin bastards for me! Repeat it!" Harry said.

"Yes!" the team shouted in unison, "Eliminate those Slytherin bastards!"
