Byron swallowed hard, and Vivi's smile, in his eyes, was nothing short of a devil's grin.
He stammered, "Could… could it be my great-grandfather also married a Muggle dowager?"
"Oh, that's not it," Vivi said regretfully. "If that were the case, it wouldn't be so bad—he was associating with a major Muggle figure at the time, as his catamite."
Hearing this explosive news, Byron felt as though the sky had fallen, and he instinctively jumped up, shouting, "Impossible! Absolutely impossible! You're making up stories to trick us! Oh my, wicked Grindelwald..."
Vivi chuckled and said, "I'm just telling you the facts. As for their authenticity, you can ask your ancestral portraits at home—you being purebloods, you surely have those ancestral portraits, don't you?"
Byron was at a loss for words.
"And you, Titus Micham..."
Vivi began to unveil the ancestors of each person, breaking down their defenses with precision and fairness.
Who doesn't have some scandalous things in their family history? Even the Malfoy family once proposed to the Muggle Queen.
The current Slytherin students lay on the floor, staring at the ceiling with an expression of having lost all hope in life.
Being overpowered in magic spells is nothing—but having one's ancestral deeds exposed in detail is truly a big hit.
Thankfully, they finally awaited a savior.
"Miss Grindelwald?" Snape's voice sounded from the doorway, "What are you doing?"
He swooped in like a giant bat, landing in front of Vivi.
"I heard you used an Unforgivable Curse at school?" Snape asked coldly.
"Just a Confusion Spell, Professor," Vivi replied calmly. "You can ask Class Prefect Miss Fari."
Snape said nothing, turning his gaze to Farley.
Farley nodded and said, "Miss Grindelwald is telling the truth; she didn't use any Unforgivable Curses..."
"You're lying!" Byron suddenly shouted, "You used an Unforgivable Curse on me..."
Vivi said nothing, raising her magic wand as a green light hit Byron's body.
Snape quickly drew his wand but silently put it back when he saw nothing happened to Byron.
"What should be said is, you're like toads in a well, not knowing what the sky outside really looks like."
Vivi waved her magic wand, a red chain lightning flashed, and more than a dozen wands flew into her hand.
Snape's pupils contracted.
Are all the transfer students this impressive now?!
"Come with me, Miss Grindelwald," Snape snorted, turning to leave.
Vivi threw the dozen or so wands into Miss Fari's arms.
"Keep them safe, Miss Fari," Vivi said softly. "I hope no one takes their wand back before I return... If you figure out how to be a proper Slytherin, only then should you approach Miss Fari for your wand—provided your determination moves her."
With that, she turned and left the Slytherin common room, leaving the others to look at each other in confusion.
What should they do now?
Professor Snape walked ahead, with Vivi following. She originally thought Snape was taking her to the office, but unexpectedly he walked briskly, leading her all the way to the eighth-floor Headmaster's Office.
"Zizi Honey Candy!" he said expressionlessly to the Dripping Stone Beast.
The Dripping Stone Beast opened a path for two people to enter the Headmaster's Office.
Principal Dumbledore was there, playing with Phoenix Fawkes. When he saw Vivi come in, Fox chirped and fluttered to her side.
"Fiona's with Harry," she said.
Fox screeched dissatisfied and returned to its perch.
"Dumbledore!" Snape started his grievances as soon as he entered the Headmaster's Office. With an oily, dragging manner, he sarcastically said, "You should know what it means to admit someone with the last name Grindelwald into the school—just tonight! Your transfer student used the Killing Curse on another student... I truly hope your honey-soaked brain can comprehend what this means."
However, Dumbledore's next words stunned Snape.
"Is that so? Grindelwald senior?"
"Senior?" Snape's pupils contracted again, but being a master of Mind Sealing Spell, he controlled his facial expression well.
"Yes, Miss Grindelwald enrolled at Hogwarts in 1891—she was in fifth grade at the time," Phineas's voice rang out from a portrait frame. "She was six years ahead of Albus... It's been a long time, Miss Grindelwald."
"Hello, Principal Black," Vivi smiled reservedly. "It's a pleasure to see you..."
"Enough with the pleasantries. I don't believe you're actually pleased to see me!" Principal Black huffed. "Goodness, even you have become smooth-tongued!"
"If I were to see you alive, then I wouldn't be happy, Principal Black," Vivi replied politely, bowing slightly.
Surprisingly, Principal Black burst into laughter at these words: "Oh well, I knew it... alright then."
"You see," Dumbledore interjected appropriately, "Severus, sometimes people really should accept new things and information... However, I suspect the senior merely employed some harmless Small Spells to scare them, don't you think?"
