Chapter 321 - Chapter 154: Professor Snape Penalized for Insulting the Board of Governors..._3

"And the ladies too," said Angelina Johnson, who was a very pretty girl, her skin so pale it practically glowed.

"Yes, and the ladies too," Wood added, "I've already got Mrs. Hooqi's permission."

"Can I come to see your training?" Pabi asked eagerly.

Of course she wanted to see the training; after all, the first time watching Harry's Quidditch match and the first time visiting Harry's training, neither was Vivi.

In some ways surpassing Grindelwald, that's a good thing.

"Of course you can, Miss Pabi," Wood said with a chuckle, "First, you're a member of the School Board and second, you're our queen, you..."

Wood lowered his voice at this point: "You never give a damn about the old bat—"

Pabi raised her head happily and neighed twice.

Marcus Flint, who was standing nearby, gritted his teeth and decided to stir up some trouble.

Early the next morning, Harry followed the sleepy Gryffindor Quidditch players to the pitch.

However, to their surprise, Slytherin was already training there.

"Flint!" Wood shaded his eyes from the sun and shouted, "Mrs. Hooqi has already agreed, the Quidditch pitch is reserved for Gryffindor this morning, how could you do this!"

Marcus eased himself down from his broom and slowly pulled an order from his coat.

It read:

I, the Dean of Slytherin, Severus Snape, permit Slytherin's Quidditch team to use the Quidditch pitch today.

Wood almost tore the order apart in anger upon seeing it.

But he held back.

If he ripped it up impulsively, who knows how the old bat would deal with him after some embellishment by the Slytherin people.

Deducted points were a minor issue; being in detention in the Slytherin dungeon dealing with those Flubber Worms... he might just as well jump from the Astronomy Tower.

"I'm going to find Professor Snape!" Pabi said furiously and was just about to leave, but was stopped by Wood.

"Let it go, Miss Pabi, we might as well go back and sleep for a while, come to practice tomorrow—" Wood said and continued, "Also, as a member of the Hogwarts School Board, your word should weigh more than Dean Snape's, I think tomorrow's permission for training should come from you."

Suddenly feeling needed, Pabi's unicorn life seemed to be filled with glory, she asked eagerly, "Do you really need me? I mean... do you really need me? I can sign it for you now... So, do you have a pen?"

"Sure, let's head back to the hall, Miss Pabi," Wood cheerfully invited the team back to the hall.

At the Gryffindor long table, Percy asked curiously, "Wood, weren't you going to practice Quidditch? Why are you suddenly back?"

"Because the Quidditch pitch was taken over by Slytherin!" Wood said indignantly, "Marcus Flint got an order from Professor Snape, and we couldn't do anything."

"I think you should be more assertive, Wood," Percy said, "If you want to conduct Quidditch practice, perhaps be bold and tell Professor Snape 'no'."

"Give it a rest, Percy," his twin brother suddenly taunted, "You're the Class Prefect, why don't you have a row with Professor Snape? Why make it difficult for our Captain Wood?"

"I also think our Class Prefect talks big while standing," Angelina said rolling her eyes.

"Right, lads!" Wood laughed.

"And the ladies too," Angelina chimed in.

"Yes, and the ladies too," Wood added, acknowledging Angelina's earlier comment.

Percy chose to remain silent, as was his usual way of handling things.

Sure enough, the next day Slytherin didn't occupy Gryffindor's training schedule again—after all, the School Board's words weigh much more than Dean Snape's.

Snape also faced a punishment of fifty Golden Galleons in budget cuts, a penalty even submitted by Pabi to Dumbledore.

And Dumbledore gladly agreed to this punishment—he's never been pleased with Snape docking points for all sorts of reasons with various houses, so how could he not agree when Pabi took the initiative?

However, when announcing the punishment, Dumbledore expressed deep regret and told Snape it was merely the School Board's decision, on principle he was still quite sympathetic toward Snape.

Snape: (ꐦಠಠ)?!

So the Headmaster gets to say both the nice and nasty things?

Upon hearing that the punishment from Miss Pabi of the School Board had been carried out against Snape, the whole school started celebrating, except for Slytherin.

Slytherin celebrated privately, in dormitory units.

Because Snape was the Dean of Slytherin, if the dean gets into trouble and you, as a student of the house, go on to celebrate, it might seem inappropriate, doesn't it?

That night, Newt also faced a problem.

It was indeed difficult for him, as he had received a letter sent from the United States.

"What's wrong, Newt?" Tina asked concernedly beside him.

Newt sighed, rubbed his eyelids, and said to Tina, "Something big has happened in the United States, traces of magical creatures being massacred on a large scale have been found everywhere; all these magical creatures were bled dry, Alonso suspects it's the work of some undiscovered magical creature."
