Harry naturally would not refuse Old Parkinson's kindness, just as Mr. Septimus educated him, "More friends mean more paths."
As a young man cultivated by Mr. Malfoy, Harry's ability in dealing with people is commendable.
However, what no one expected was that from then on, during classes at Hogwarts, there would always be a unicorn auditing.
Of course, she only audited with the second-year Gryffindor, occasionally attending a few lessons with Hufflepuff.
Vivi certainly noticed the direction of this new school board member but didn't have the time or reason to care—after all, she was a school board member, ostensibly "assessing the quality of teaching," what could Vivi do?
But it is admirable that Vivi plans to finish the three-year university curriculum within a year.
Yes, an undergraduate degree in England is three years, except for Scotland, where it is four years.
This also relates to their education system, Scotland has 7 years of primary school, 4 years of secondary school, and 1 year of preparatory, while the England system adopts 6 years of primary school, 5 years of secondary school, and 2 years of preparatory. Thus, Scottish secondary school graduates proceed to Scottish universities a year earlier than graduates from other regions in the United Kingdom, requiring a four-year undergraduate degree there.
Actually, it is essentially the same as education systems worldwide; from primary school to university graduation, it firmly totals sixteen years.
Certainly, Vivi doesn't consider Pabi to be threatening—she's just a carefree unicorn.
Pabi also controlled the boundaries well, staying right at the point where Vivi wouldn't get overly jealous.
Monday morning is Herbology class, as usual, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff attend together.
Of course, Pabi wouldn't miss the Head of Hufflepuff's class, no matter how she changes, in essence, she's still a Hufflepuff.
Seeing a unicorn appear in the classroom, Professor Sprout had a noticeable moment of surprise.
But she quickly reacted; this Miss Unicorn was the newly appointed board member.
It's heard she's here to assess the quality of teaching.
Today's greenhouse not only has the board member Miss Unicorn, but the tables were also covered with bouncing mushrooms, lively and merry.
"What's this?" Justin asked curiously, picking up a nearby dry twig to poke at the bouncing mushrooms.
This poke turned out to be significant; the poked mushroom popped up instantly.
"Jumping mushrooms, a common variety," Ron answered nearby. "You can see them in many places—next year, we can go to Hogwarts, and by then, if you pay attention, these can be spotted along the road from Hogwarts to Hogwarts."
"So that's how it is..." Justin, with a Muggle background, revealed a look of interest.
Before long, Professor Sprout carried out a large pot of mushrooms.
"Good morning, Professor," the students said uniformly.
"Good morning, students," Professor Sprout placed the pot of mushrooms down and said, "Today's Herbology class features something you're likely already familiar with—now, who would like to tell me about the growth environment and uses of jumping mushrooms?"
Don't mention it, recognizing this herb was easy for all—yet when it came to articulating specifics, everyone was nearly clueless.
Seeing no students raise their hands, Pabi lifted her front hoof.
"Miss Pabi," Professor Sprout said, "why don't you give it a try?"
Pabi spoke delicately, "Jumping mushrooms need to grow in a moist environment because they absorb water to gain nutrition—unlike ordinary mushrooms, jumping mushrooms need some sunlight rather than complete darkness and moisture. Additionally, they usually grow near trees or shrubs."
"Moreover, the caps of jumping mushrooms can be used to make magic potions, such as invisibility elixirs," Pabi concluded.
"Very well said, Miss Pabi," Professor Sprout smiled, "If you were a Hufflepuff, I would definitely give you five points, Miss Pabi."
"I can be a Hufflepuff," Pabi said, lifting her head.
A wave of good-natured laughter spread; no one disliked this optimistic and approachable school board unicorn, Miss Unicorn.
"Next, I will teach you how to create an artificial environment for cultivating jumping mushrooms," Professor Sprout said, "As Miss Pabi mentioned, jumping mushrooms generally accompany trees or shrubs nearby. This point needs to be remembered; jumping mushrooms require organic matter as growth substrates, which can be soil, wood, straw, or other organic materials."
"Generally, planting jumping mushrooms is similar to regular mushrooms; it needs a base medium, usually composed of livestock manure, cottonseed hulls, or wood chips. These substrates should be rich in nutrients to support their growth."
"As long as we simulate such an environment, we can cultivate jumping mushrooms," Professor Sprout concluded, "Now, from the materials in front of you, select those you think can simulate the growth environment for jumping mushrooms... Here, you have ten minutes."
Following Professor Sprout's command, the students busily began working.
Professor Sprout walked behind the students, checking each one's selection of materials.
