Chapter 300 - Chapter 146: The Terrifying Transfer Student

Harry had nothing to hide either, so he recounted everything that had happened between him and Miss Farley in detail.

Upon hearing that Miss Farley was defeated by Harry, Vivi knowingly reached out and pinched Pabi's chin.

"So that's how it is." The force of her hand was a bit stronger, making Pabi bleat softly, muttering under his breath "evil Grindelwald."

Harry put down Miss Farley's letter and said to Vivi, "But speaking of which, school will be starting again in a week—I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how the teachers and students will react when you get sorted, given that your brother is somewhat famous in the Magic World."

The Scamander family turned their heads and looked at Harry as if he were an alien.

You call her brother "somewhat" famous?

You refer to the Dark Wizard who almost burned down Paris and is known worldwide—albeit not in a good way—as somewhat famous?

"After all these years, they might have forgotten," Vivi said nonchalantly. "Besides, there's someone named Voldemort now—at least Gellert had the excuse of acting for the welfare of all wizards. But Voldemort?"

"Sister, I wasn't just making excuses," Gellert tried to defend himself.

But it was obvious, resistance was futile.

Considering he had made some new friends, Harry decided to buy some more Christmas gifts for everyone.

Newt's Christmas gift was a set of snake shed that Alfonso had just shed; for Tina, it was an old-fashioned piece of court jewelry; as for Theseus' gift, it was a set of magic wand maintenance supplies.

Of course, Harry didn't forget Gellert either, he bought him a nest of Sniffs.

"Gael will definitely love it."

When buying the Sniffs, Vivi said as much.

Harry thought so too, and was sure Vivi was definitely Gael's biological sister, no doubt about it.

The Christmas Eve feast was entirely handled by the House-Elves, and although these cute little creatures weren't exactly good-looking, they were superbly professional little helpers when it came to household chores.

In just a few dozen minutes, the Elves had prepared a grand dinner for the whole family to enjoy.

"I actually quite like British food, why isn't there any on the table?" Gellert began to criticize: "There are many good things about British food, such as, uh… well…"

"Like your favorite British dish is a red-haired cream puff." Harry retorted.

Gellert put down his knife and fork and was silent on the spot.

Newt didn't say anything, cutting the pie in front of him into the shape of a thumb.

"I feel like the whole world is against me." Gellert sighed. "Potter, isn't there even a shred of sincerity between us?"

"I don't think so." Harry said seriously, "You're a Dark Wizard, and Dark Wizards are the most deceitful, you shouldn't believe a word they say."

"Which bastard taught you that!" Gellert asked, wide-eyed.

Harry didn't speak, he just gave Vivi a look.

The meaning was clear: it was your sister who taught him that.

Gellert took a deep breath, bowed his head, and continued to eat.

Otherwise, what else could he do? Could he actually lay hands on his sister?

Holidays always pass quickly, but fortunately, there's no homework over the second year's Christmas break, so the days leading up to the start of school were not too difficult to endure, without having to rush homework in the Great Hall.

But those above the third year weren't so lucky; it was said that Snape assigned a long essay as homework, and the Weasley Twins were pestering the studious classmates in the Gryffindor common room, looking to "appropriately borrow" some of their essays.

"We really should have started earlier." They said in unison.

The classmates all expressed understanding; after all, cramming homework in school on the last day before break ends is one of life's greatest rites of passage.

It's the kind of thing that, if missed, makes your whole school career feel incomplete.

Harry returned to Hogwarts on January 9th, but since Vivi wasn't a student at Hogwarts yet, she was still staying at Mr. Leme's home and would return to school on the first day of the new term.

When he got back to the dormitory, Harry found Ron was feeling down.

"What happened to him?" Harry asked Neville and Seamus nearby.

"Don't mention it." Neville seemed to be repressing himself from bursting out, "Ron won two matches in the Wizard's chess tournament."

"He won two matches?" Harry patted Ron, "That's not bad, why are you upset?"

"Because he lost sixteen matches…" Seamus said, exchanging a look with Neville, and both burst out laughing.

Ron sulked, hugging his pillow without a word.

"I feel like he'll never play Wizard's Chess again." Seamus quipped.

By dinner time, the news that Ron had achieved an impressive 2-16 in the Wizard's Chess tournament had spread throughout the entire school.

"Weasley! Weasley!" Draco called over to Ron from the Slytherin table. "I heard you lost sixteen matches in a row? Really lost sixteen in a row?"

"Oh shut up, Malfoy!" Hermione tugged at Ron, steering him away from the little troublemaker: "Listen to me, Ron, just ignore him… Winning and losing in chess is normal, to me, you've always been the best chess player."

"Really?" Ron turned back to ask.

"Do you really want me to repeat it?" Hermione said with a stern little face.

Ron scratched his head, laughing awkwardly.

"So where did you and Sister Vivi go over Christmas?" Hermione asked, "Did you receive the Christmas gifts I gave to both of you?"
