Chapter 296 - Chapter 144: For the Greater Good (Part 4)

"And what about Gellert?" he asked, curious about the color of Gellert's soul.

"Him?" Vivi snorted, "Black, a multicolored black, hopelessly so."

Harry was taken aback; he never expected Gellert to be rated so poorly by his sister.

Far away, sleeping in the next room, Gellert had no idea that the ownership of his castle was casually transferred to Scarhead during a morning conversation by his sister, who even described him as multicolored black.

The original Gellert was a very disciplined person, but ever since being imprisoned in Nimongard Castle, he had lost his drive and picked up the bad habit of sleeping late.

Usually, he wouldn't get up until the sun was well overhead by noon.

Vivi wasn't planning on waking him up; now she preferred not to see him at all.

Every time she saw her brother, Vivi couldn't help but think about the extinction of the Grindelwald family—and how he, like a Sniff, stole all the wealth from her vault!

As punishment, he should go to Newt's and take care of the Nifflers—if she remembered correctly, Newt was a Master of Magical Creatures, and he definitely had some Nifflers.

Just thinking about Gellert with a Niffler sitting on his head, two in his pockets, and holding another in his hand, Vivi found it amusing, incredibly so.

At noon, Gellert finally yawned and got out of bed.

"Good morning, sister," Gellert yawned, still wearing a sleep cap adorned with stars and moons.

Vivi squinted, recognizing the sleep cap as the same style as Dumbledore's.

"And Scar...Potter," Gellert quickly corrected himself, retracting the term "Scarhead."

Gellert had already made preparations. Last night, he arranged for someone to impersonate him and sit imprisoned in Nimongard.

"By the way, sister," Gellert suddenly remembered the three people in the dungeon: "The three who escaped, including William Minnie, are all in the dungeon. Do you want to see them?"

"William Minnie?" Vivi frowned, thinking for a while. "Who is William Minnie?"

"One of the people who used to bully us siblings," Gellert shrugged.

"Oh, I remember now," Vivi sneered, "She was someone who bullied the weak and feared the strong, always inciting others to bully me but never daring to face me alone—even when I was a Dud."

"You've let someone like that live for over a hundred years?" Vivi asked.

"Of course not easily," Gellert smirked evilly, "Don't worry, sister, I see they're almost building resistance against the Cruciatus Curse."

Vivi hesitated.

Then she sighed, "That's my fault, Gael, for not instilling in you enough awe of the Unforgivable Curses, so now you disregard life so much..."

Hearing this, Gellert rolled his eyes.

Disregard life?

My dear sister, do you really accuse me of disregarding life?

But he only thought this, not daring to say it out loud.

"How should we handle the three of them?" Gellert asked.

Vivi's gaze turned stern.

"If you can't handle such a small matter, what use do I have for a brother like you?"

Gellert said nothing, turned to instruct the people beside him, and left with them.

He returned shortly after.

"It's already resolved, sister," Gellert noted purposefully, "I followed your orders and killed those three people."

As he spoke, he glanced at Harry.

His implication was clear—Look, Scarhead, my sister is a woman with blood on her hands—you should hurry and stay away from her.

However, to his surprise, Harry nodded approvingly at him.

"At least, in protecting your sister, you're a competent brother," Harry said.

Gellert wasn't sure whether to be happy or sad, but Harry's next remark made him realize he should be angry.

"But that's all, Nifflert," Harry called him the new nickname he'd given Gellert—just like he had for Draco.

The power of this nickname was so strong it made Gellert's hair stand up.

"Scarhead!" he shouted angrily, reaching over Vivi to try to poke Harry.

But his sister intervened, separating them.

"Alright," Vivi said, "Stop it now, we should head to the Leme family soon."

So they're finally meeting Scamander? Gellert chuckled, eager to see the boy's freckled face explode with shock upon seeing him.

"We also need to bring Lockhart," Gellert said, patting the suitcase at his feet, "I've packed him in here, after giving him the Life and Death Potion."

Seeing Gellert was ready, Vivi called Fiona over, grabbed Harry's hand with her left, and clutched Gellert's wrist with her right, disappearing from Nimongard.

The Leme family was having lunch when a knock on the door sounded outside, causing Newt to feel a sudden chill on the back of his neck, turning instinctively.

This reflexive turn gave him an immediate view of Gellert Grindelwald smiling at him with a meaningful expression.

Newt sprung from his chair, reaching into his coat for his wand, and without hesitation, cast a spell at Grindelwald.
