Chapter 298 - Chapter 145: Vivi and Pabi's First Confrontation

With the Eye of Prophecy, Gellert naturally knew that this Miss Unicorn was the Hufflepuff girl he had seen.

The smile on his face grew increasingly wicked; as long as he could disrupt the... ha, inappropriate feelings between his sister and Scarhead, he would gladly work for Scamander, even if it meant scooping Sniff's poop every day!

However, this increasingly wicked smile was spotted by Pabi, who glanced at him, then at Vivi, clearly expressing, "How could you have such a brother?".

"I think Miss Swedding must really like magical creatures, right?" Gellert tried to make his smile less like a big bad wolf deceiving Little Red Riding Hood. He glanced at Newt and smiled at Pabi, "I've heard that Mr. Scamander's mother, your sister, really liked griffins?"

Pabi nodded and said, "Yes, I also like griffins."

But the reason Pabi liked griffins was something she had never shared with anyone.

Because she and Harry truly became good friends from rescuing a griffin.

But... a griffin?

Gellert wickedly chuckled to himself.

I think you like the Scarhead Human-Eyed Beast, don't you?

He glanced at Harry again, looking casual.

Without even realizing it, Harry had earned another nickname, besides "Scarhead."

However, when it came to nicknames, Harry rarely lost out in that department over his lifetime.

At this moment, Gellert also noticed Mr. Leme playing on a computer.

To be honest, since entering the room, Mr. Leme hadn't noticed his arrival at all and was completely absorbed in the computer.

"What is he doing?" Gellert curiously asked.

Newt explained to him, "Mr. Leme seems to have found a way to improve computers, making them a more suitable tool for wizards."

"Muggle contraptions?" Gellert curiously leaned in, his Eye of Prophecy twirling in his socket.

He focused as he sat beside him, observing Mr. Leme's operations, appearing very interested in Muggle technological products.

"So, what's the plan now?" Tina whispered to Newt, "Are you really going to accept this Grindelwald as your assistant?"

"I trust Dumbledore's judgment," Newt whispered back, "If he thinks this Grindelwald is harmless, I have no reason to refuse—besides, if I don't agree, he'd find a way to make me accept it anyway."

Tina thought it over carefully and realized it made sense.

Back then, wasn't Newt also pushed into action by Dumbledore?

"You'd better keep an eye on him, in case his ideas corrupt the youth at Hogwarts," Tina gently reminded, "As far as I know, students are at that age where they're just starting to understand the world, but not yet fully comprehending it, thinking they grasp the truth while always brimming with passion. What if—I'm just saying what if—he takes the opportunity to instill certain ideas in them, what should we do then?"

"It shouldn't happen, Tina," Newt responded, "Hogwarts students now are likely more interested in what fun things they can play with day-to-day."

"I don't think so, Newt," Tina said earnestly, "So as a former Auror, I should join you in going to Hogwarts to help keep a watchful eye on this cunning Grindelwald."

Newt turned his head, looking happy, "That's great, Tina, it's truly wonderful to have you help me—"

Tina showed a satisfied smile.

"Young Master Potter," Dico's voice rang out as he cradled a pile of presents, "here are your letters and Christmas gifts."

"Is that so?" Harry walked over and sat beside Vivi on the sofa.

Dico placed the gifts he cradled in front of Harry, and Pabi curiously gathered around.

"What gifts are there?" Pabi's eyes glistened at the presents, "Are there any tasty ones, any tasty ones?"

"Why do you always think about food?" Harry said helplessly, reaching to open a gift from Hermione.

There was also a note attached, which Harry picked up and opened to read.

"It's from Hermione, and there's a note she wrote."

The note read: "Merry Christmas, Harry, remember to give my regards to Sister Vivi. Along with this letter are Christmas gifts for both of you."

"This child..." Vivi seemed very pleased, "Which one's mine?"

"It seems to be this one," Harry took out a stack of magazines and newspapers from inside, "Oh look, it's a selection of newspapers and magazines from 1922 to 1939, it's amazing she managed to find so many."

Vivi picked up a newspaper, glanced at it and happily said, "She really understands my needs, I like her."

"After all, she is a very talented person in her studies; you know even Professor Snape affectionately calls her 'Miss Omniscient.'" Harry chuckled.

Gellert's voice chimed in at the right moment.

"You really can't tell the difference between sarcasm and a compliment, can you, Potter?"

"Shut up, Nifflet." Harry rolled his eyes and said.

"Nifflet?" Newt lowered his voice with a 'wow' expression, "Oh my, that nickname on him is really..."

Others might not know the grudge between Gellert and Niffs, but Newt Scamander fully understood it.

To say, the incident of Niffs stealing the Blood Alliance was directed by Newt himself.
