Chapter 162 - Chapter 120: Vivi: My Money!

"Not far from us," Seamus said, "I read it in a book, it's just across the sea."

"I really want to taste what Mexican food is like," Ron said with a bit of longing, "Listen to the pronunciation—Mexico, doesn't it sound like a mysterious country?"

"You should ask Hermione about that; after all, she's the smart one," Harry patted the bed, "When it comes to knowledge of the Muggle world, us wizards are generally clueless."

Ron turned to Harry: "But wait, Harry, you went to a Muggle school too, why don't you know where Mexico is?"

"Because I forgot," Harry replied honestly.

Of course, he forgot. Attending school in the Muggle world seemed like it happened just a year ago, but for Harry, it was more than five years ago.

Five years is enough time to forget whatever little he learned in the Muggle world—after all, magic was far more interesting to him than Muggle knowledge.

"Alright then," Ron shrugged, picking up his shrimp chips to continue eating.

The first night of the school term was meant for endless conversation anyway, especially with no early class the next day, waking up late was no big deal.

They chatted until past ten when Neville was almost asleep on his feet, his eyelids drooping. They bid each other goodnight and went to bed.

Once his friends had all fallen asleep, Harry got out of bed skillfully, cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself, and quietly slipped out of the Gryffindor common room.

It's not that he didn't want to take them along, it's just that it was a place that only those who inherited Ancient Magic, like Harry, could enter.

As he stepped out, Lady Pang mumbled something about someone going out again.

But since she was just the gatekeeper and not responsible for managing the dorm, she didn't make a fuss.

It wasn't her concern, so why should she care?

Harry pondered over Lady Pang's words, guessing that the "again" referred to the Weasley Twins.

Who else but those two would be out on a nighttime excursion on the first day back at school?

Descending the stairs, Harry arrived at the door to the Map Secret Room.

He hadn't seen Vivi in over a month, and truth be told, he was a bit nostalgic for the girl.

He took out his magic wand, stirring the Ancient Magic resonance there, and drew an archway.

Following the archway, Harry entered the Map Secret Room.

As soon as he stepped in, Vivi's voice rang out.

"Harry," she said, "you've finally returned."

"Yeah, school started," Harry said, walking down the stairs, "You know we're not allowed to stay at Hogwarts during the holidays."

Harry glanced over at the paintings; Professor Luke Wood hadn't had the chance to make a sound before Principal Fitzgerald dragged him away.

"What are they doing…?" Harry asked, puzzled.

Vivi chuckled softly: "Principal Fitzgerald thinks we young people should have some private conversations, so she doesn't want to intrude or overhear our little secrets, so she just—you saw it."

"I see," Harry nodded in understanding.

He found a spot to sit down on the floor, beneath him was a miniature model of Hogwarts Castle, and below the transparent floor, points of light twinkled like stars.

Before coming to the Map Secret Room, he had a lot to say.

But once inside, he didn't know where to begin.

"Did you have any fun over the holidays?" Vivi asked with a smile.

"Oh, quite a bit," Harry responded to Vivi's question, recalling the holiday fun, "I caught goblins twice at the Weasley family, those goblins are really ugly, like potatoes, and when you pick them up they squeal 'Let me go…'"

"Auntie Molly's cooking is delicious, and when you can come out, I must take you to the Weasley family for a meal, ah… Auntie Molly always gives me four servings, it's… I worry that if this continues, I'll get as fat as cousin Dudley."

Vivi listened warmly to Harry's storytelling, smiling.

"Dudley? Dudley Dursley?" Vivi suddenly asked, "That chubby guy who always bullied you?"

"Yes, but I taught him a lesson," Harry added quickly, knowing Vivi's protective nature. If he didn't explain clearly, his cousin's family could be in trouble.

The Dursley family wasn't good to him, but Harry thought they didn't deserve anything drastic.

Understanding his thoughts, Vivi just laughed lightly without saying more.

"By the way, during my time at the Dursley family, I used a few spells and got a severe warning from the Ministry of Magic," Harry continued his grievances with Vivi, "Also, I originally wanted to help the Weasley Twins open a market in the Muggle world, they make really entertaining magic joke products, but unfortunately, the Ministry of Magic doesn't allow wizards to sell things to the Muggle world."

"Is that so?" Vivi kept smiling, yet in her mind, she started pondering how she might break these conventions when she finally gets out.

She was tired of living in the shadows; if wizards couldn't live under the sun, how were they any different from mice?

"Indeed," Harry sighed, "Ron is a good friend, after all, and I feel like I should do what I can to help them without damaging their family bonds."
