Before the text within the barrier had fully appeared, the barrier was already destroyed.
Takeshi, with a Blue wrapped around his palm, broke through each barrier. In less than a minute, all the barriers Freed had painstakingly set up were shattered.
Freed's face was pale. He drew his sword and wrote in the air.
Swish!
A large barrier unfolded.
[Rule: Only one person can exit the barrier.]
Takeshi saw the rule of this barrier and said to Freed, "It seems you've prepared yourself mentally."
"That's right. If you want to fight Laxus, you must get past me first."
Freed had previously thought Laxus had a 40% chance of victory against Takeshi.
But after seeing Takeshi break through his barriers so easily, he realized his estimate had been overly optimistic. Takeshi truly was a man capable of defeating a Wizard Saint.
Laxus's chances against Takeshi were, at best, 30 or 20%, and pessimistically, perhaps even 10%.
Takeshi was powerful, but he had one weakness: his magic power. If he could exhaust enough of his magic power here, then Laxus's chances of winning would be greater.
Dark Ecriture: Darkness!
Freed wrote runes on his body, transforming into a devil-like form.
Boom!
He stomped his foot, charging rapidly in front of Takeshi and throwing a punch at Takeshi's face.
Takeshi didn't dodge or evade. Just as Freed thought he was about to land the blow, his fist stopped in front of Takeshi. It was as if an invisible wall was in between them, feeling just like his own barrier.
"What is this?!"
"This is what I just mentioned, my technique, Limitless. Your attack hasn't stopped, it's just slowed down, and the closer it gets to me, the slower it becomes, appearing as if it's completely still."
Snap!
Takeshi grabbed Freed's fist, quickly pulling him towards him. His other hand clenched into a fist and powerfully struck Freed's abdomen.
"Ugh!"
Freed let out a scream of agony, feeling as if his internal organs were wailing.
"It's not over yet."
Takeshi struck Freed with punch after punch. Freed gritted his teeth, swung his arm, and forcefully threw Takeshi away, then shot into the air.
Darkness Breath!
Freed unleashed a dark vortex, attacking Takeshi.
Takeshi raised his palm, and a Blue formed within it. All of the dark vortexes Freed released were absorbed by Blue.
"What?!"
Swish!
Takeshi appeared above Freed's head, then kicked Freed in an overhead bicycle kick.
"Teleportation?!"
Freed hadn't expected Takeshi to know even this magic. He immediately crossed his arms to block.
Boom!
"Ugh!"
Whoosh!
Boom!
Freed's body plummeted to the ground, creating a large crater.
Takeshi floated down lightly from the air as Freed coughed up blood.
"That's enough. You should just lie down quietly."
Takeshi's cursed energy strikes were not something an ordinary person could endure.
He stepped forward, preparing to enter Kardia Cathedral.
"Stand... stand still..."
Freed shakily got to his feet.
"I won't let you just go find Laxus like this!" He roared loudly, bringing his hands together, gathering all his magic power.
"Since that's the case, I won't hold back."
Takeshi raised his right index finger. He continuously poured the positive energy generated by Reverse Cursed Technique into Limitless, and a small red energy sphere continuously gathered.
Freed unleashed a powerful dark magic blast at Takeshi. Wherever the magic blast passed, the ground shattered into pieces.
Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!
The red sphere launched, generating a powerful repulsive force. All the ground in its path was crushed and shattered.
Boom!!!
The two forces collided, instantly erupting in a terrifying explosion.
The repulsive force generated by Red continuously destroyed the Dark magic sphere, rushing towards Freed. In this clash, Takeshi's attack was clearly superior.
The terrifying repulsive force struck Freed's body.
"Aaahhhhhhh!!!"
Boom!
Freed's body smashed through the doors of Kardia Cathedral. A powerful impact surged in, and a heavily scarred figure tumbled into the cathedral's main hall, rolling several times before finally stopping, landing right beside Laxus.
Freed, struggling, said, "Laxus... be careful... Takeshi..."
As soon as he finished speaking, he could no longer hold on and fell unconscious.
A figure stepped into Kardia Cathedral with light footsteps.
"Has he arrived?"
Laxus's face showed a ferocious smile as he looked towards the entrance.
Soon, Takeshi stood before Laxus.
"Hey! What's with this new look? It's almost annoyingly handsome." Laxus couldn't help but tease when he saw Takeshi's appearance.
Takeshi shamelessly said, "Is that so? I just changed my style a bit. My handsomeness is pretty much the same as my original self, right?"
Laxus's lips twitched. "You're truly shameless. I never noticed that before."
Takeshi retorted, "If you didn't even notice a man as handsome as me, then it can only be that your eyesight is poor."
"Takeshi, I'll give you one more chance. Join me, and together we can surely create the strongest Mage Guild in Fiore, no, in all of Ishgar." Laxus once again extended an invitation to Takeshi.
"I'm not interested." Takeshi refused again.
"What a shame. Since you're not interested, then don't get in my way. I'll be Fairy Tail's Guild Master, and build the strongest guild."
Takeshi raised an eyebrow, finding it inexplicable. "I'm getting in your way? We've barely met a few times, haven't we? How am I getting in your way?"
Laxus's eyes widened, and he shouted with a ferocious expression, "Your existence! Your mere existence is already seriously hindering me!"
"You know, don't you? Who is the strongest person in Fairy Tail? Before, everyone debated whether it was me or you, until you defeated Jose, the Guild Master of Phantom Lord."
"The discussion about who was the strongest disappeared. Everyone in the guild believed you were the strongest Mage, and even the old man wanted to pass the Guild Master position to you. That position clearly belongs to me!"
"Now it's going to be snatched away by an outsider who's only been in the guild for a year!"
"I'm not reconciled! I swear! What belongs to me, I will take back with my own hands!"
"Come on! Let's decide now who holds the title of the strongest in Fairy Tail, is it me or you?!"
