Chapter 125: A Cyborg Born at His Peak? Please, That Is Weak
"Sanji!"
"Do not hurt Sanji, he means no harm!"
From behind the boulder, Reiju saw the giant serpent explode out of the sea and charge toward the ships. Her heart clenched.
She rushed out, planted herself in front of Sanji, and spread her arms to shield him.
Even if she herself was a modified human, a so called cyborg who had reached her peak as a child, that meant nothing in front of this enormous serpent and its mysterious master.
Reiju could not gamble with her brother's life.
She stood in front of Sanji, arms stretched wide, staring up at the red haired man in terror.
"Hey, hey, do not be scared," Roy said with a light laugh. "It is just a cute little snake that pulls my ship, right?"
He glanced at the beautiful Reiju, amused, then raised his hand and beckoned.
The giant blue serpent immediately lowered its huge head and rubbed against his palm like an oversized, scaly dog.
There was no helping it. Roy had left this snake with lifelong trauma back when he was a child.
Now that Roy had grown stronger than ever, the serpent listened to whatever he said.
A snake like this, what bad intentions could it possibly have?
None. Obviously.
"My ship needs a helper who can cook and do laundry," Roy said, smiling as he looked at Sanji. "Little guy, want to come aboard?"
Sanji shrank back behind Reiju, peeking out from behind her arm to stare at Roy with wide, frightened eyes.
"Sanji, how about you go to that passenger ship over there instead?" Reiju said, frowning.
For some reason, every instinct in her screamed a warning.
The man standing in front of them was extremely dangerous.
More terrifying than her father.
He felt like someone who could crush the Vinsmoke cyborgs like baby chicks whenever he chose.
"Little guy," Roy said, still smiling, "you understand that if someone wants to get something, they must have the strength to protect it, right?"
Family you love.
Gold that shines.
A vast dream like All Blue.
All of it depended on overwhelming strength.
Roy chuckled.
He fully intended to trick Sanji onto his ship and reshape him into a man who had no goddess in his heart and would casually kick so called divine beings in the face.
Just imagining that future Sanji was hilarious.
"What do you mean by that?" Reiju demanded, still keeping Sanji behind her as she glared at Roy, wariness in her eyes.
"Take this weak Kingdom of Corgi for example," Roy replied. "Without enough strength, their gates were destined to be kicked open sooner or later."
He tilted his head slightly.
"But then again, if someone even stronger happens to pass by, Germa might find itself in trouble too."
As he finished speaking, Roy suddenly lowered his gaze to Sanji. The playful smile disappeared from his face, replaced by calm, serious eyes.
"If I have that kind of power," he asked quietly, "would you be willing to become my disciple?"
"...!"
Sanji's heart slammed against his ribs.
If this man truly had that strength...
Of course he would want to learn.
He was bullied by his brothers.
Despised by his father.
Locked away in a dungeon after his faked death.
His mother had been killed by that same despicable father.
Sanji desperately wanted to become stronger.
He wanted people to stop laughing at his dream of All Blue.
He wanted to make delicious food for those he cherished and live happily, free from ridicule.
"But you really have to be that strong..." Sanji muttered, barely audible, afraid that if he trusted the wrong person he would only be hurt and bullied again.
"Simple."
Roy chuckled and snapped his fingers.
"Aonami, I do not want to see those snails."
"Hiss!"
The blue serpent opened its blood red maw and, the moment its ropes were loosed, surged into the sea. In an instant it was gone, a massive shadow cutting through the waves as it rushed straight toward the giant snails.
Roy vaulted lightly from the ship, drew his blue longsword, and flicked his wrist. The blade danced and sang in the air.
He walked step by step toward the suddenly panicking Germa 66 forces.
Sanji and Reiju exchanged a glance. Then they crept after him, keeping low, to see for themselves just how strong this man really was.
Whether Germa 66 won or lost did not matter to them in the slightest.
Reiju, however, still intended to return to the Vinsmoke family in the end, so she did not dare follow too closely or let herself be seen.
...
"What is that?!"
On the shore, Germa's clone soldiers tore through the final line of defense of the Kingdom of Corgi.
Out at sea, one of the huge snails suddenly shrieked in pain and went limp, dying on the spot.
Its blood and bodily fluids spread through the water in dark streaks as a huge shadow darted back and forth beneath the surface, striking from below and dragging down one giant snail after another.
Chaos devoured the Germa fleet.
Terrified, the giant snails ignored orders and tried to flee in every direction.
These were ferocious serpents from the Calm Belt, the kind that even Sea Kings avoided, let alone giant snails used for transport.
No matter how large the snails were, they were still destined to be bitten.
Their soft, plump bodies were a feast for the serpent, as delightful as an all you can eat buffet.
On shore, the Germa soldiers armed with advanced weapons were about to turn back and reinforce the fleet when a rain of pink arrows suddenly swept toward them.
Love Love Fruit, Slave Arrow.
Hancock stood at a distance, one hand lifted. Her slender fingers brushed her lips as she smiled at Roy, a charming glint in her eyes.
A giant pink heart bloomed before her.
She reached out and pulled.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh."
Arrow after arrow shot into the air, streaks of pink cutting across the battlefield and slamming into the Germa soldiers.
It did not matter whether they felt love or not.
Anyone who was hit turned to stone.
Even objects were fair game.
In the next moment, soldiers across the field froze where they stood and hardened into stone statues, each one stuck in the exact pose they had held in the instant before they lost consciousness.
"Damn you, who are you?!"
In the distance, a young man with bright red hair and a funeral parlor worthy hairstyle glared furiously toward Roy.
"Damn it, how dare you interfere with Germa's war?! Die!"
Vinsmoke Ichiji roared and lunged forward in a blur, fist blazing with power.
As a child born at his peak, he could easily defeat squads of Germa warriors.
"Ha. Your red hair is really ugly," Roy said flatly.
He stood in front of Hancock and watched as Ichiji charged, their matching hair color the only thing they had in common.
Ichiji leaped high and smashed his fist downward.
Before the blow could land, Roy's hand moved.
He caught the punch as easily as if he were grabbing a falling twig and then, with a casual sweep of his sword, struck Ichiji across the face.
"Guh!"
Spit flew, along with several broken teeth.
The slap of the flat of Roy's blade echoed across the shore, and Ichiji turned into a human cannonball, rocketing backward far faster than he had rushed in.
He crashed into the ground and skidded along the sand, bouncing and tumbling before finally coming to a stop.
The injuries he sustained that day would keep him in bed for a long while.
A dark reddish purple brand bloomed across his face.
That mark alone would be enough to make this day unforgettable.
"Damn it, we will take him together!"
"Kill him!"
Niji and Yonji exchanged a look and sneered.
Their useless older brother had failed, but as Father's masterpieces, they would show this stranger what the Vinsmoke family was capable of.
The blue haired and green haired brothers sprinted in from two sides.
Roy yawned.
As they came within range, he simply reached out, grabbed each one by the collar, then lifted his leg and kicked.
"Whoosh. Whoosh."
Niji and Yonji turned into twin cannonballs and flew after their brother, slamming down onto Ichiji and stacking neatly on top of him.
Trash really was more convenient when it was piled together.
In the bushes nearby, Sanji watched the whole scene, eyes shining.
"Soka da..."
If only he could send his brothers flying like that one day.
Roy still remembered those two famous kicks from the future.
As expected of the Black Leg Sanji to come.
"Who are you? We are the Vinsmoke family."
From farther off, a tall man strode forward, long blond hair streaming behind him. A spear rested in his hand as he glared coldly at Roy.
"This is your last warning," he said, voice hard. "Stay out of our business."
Vinsmoke Judge had arrived.
