Chapter 110: History Changes, Two Pirate Kings!?
The story of this world had already gone off script the moment Roy appeared.
Many years earlier, far out on the open sea.
Back then, the Rocks Pirates had not yet fallen. The Roger Pirates had not yet entered God Valley, had not yet fought side by side with Garp to crush Rocks.
On that sea, two women, one from the peak of pirate power and one from the upper ranks of the navy, had quietly joined forces with a single goal.
Bring down Rocks.
Charlotte Linlin, mistress of Whole Cake Island, wielder of the Soul Soul Fruit, had disbanded the Big Mom Pirates after Roy vanished. She returned to Totto Land and rebuilt Whole Cake Island into the nation Roy had designed for her.
Unlike her counterpart in the original story, she trained seriously every single day. With her monstrous natural talent on top of that, her strength far surpassed her original timeline self.
With the books Roy left behind and his constant nagging to "read more," Charlotte Linlin had grown sharper and sharper.
By the year 1505, her Totto Land controlled sixty eight islands, twice the number from the original story.
On top of that, guided by Roy's strange ideas, Linlin's imagination ran wild. She created Homies far more terrifying and powerful than before.
Some said she had obtained the secret of eternal youth from Dr Kureha, also called Dr Doriel, and that was why she still possessed the same voluptuous figure and devastatingly beautiful face from her youth.
Others scoffed at that theory. They whispered instead that she had laid hands on some kind of legendary metal.
Whatever the case, this woman was absurdly strong, almost unreal in her beauty, and her freshness date just refused to expire.
So of course, many years ago, Rocks had taken an interest in her.
Roy would have been stunned if he had heard that part.
Because in the original story, Linlin, the sea queen, had rejected every one of Rocks's advances. Whether he tried to recruit her onto his ship or…
Hehe. Everyone knew what that implied.
She had turned him down every time.
Afterward, Charlotte Linlin secretly contacted Tsuru in the navy and proposed an alliance against Rocks.
History shifted, but only slightly. The main line still held.
Roger entered the Valley of the Gods.
Rocks, leading Whitebeard, Kaido, Shiki, Silver Axe, Captain John, Wang Zhi, and the rest, reached greedily toward the title of King of the World and moved to wipe out the Celestial Dragons at God Valley.
In that battle, the Rocks Pirates were destroyed by a combined force.
On the pirate side, Gol D Roger and Charlotte Linlin.
On the navy side, Garp and Tsuru.
When the fighting finally ended, the Roger Pirates did what pirates always did after surviving an impossible battle.
They held a banquet with Big Mom's forces.

"I remember now."
Rayleigh slapped his palm on the table as he suddenly shot to his feet, the impact rattling the glasses. A man as calm as he was rarely lost his composure, but the shock in his eyes was impossible to hide.
He stared at Roy as if trying to burn through him. Roy's scalp tingled under the intensity of the gaze. Shakky let out a soft sigh and looked at Rayleigh with wordless exasperation.
What on earth was going through that man's head?
"Do you remember the year the Rocks Pirates were wiped out?" Rayleigh asked, turning to Shakky with a crooked smile.
"Oh? And then?" Shakky propped her chin on one hand, gave him a sideways glance, and smiled faintly.
"Back then, Charlotte Linlin showed us a photo," Rayleigh said slowly. "There was a young redhead in it… and he looked exactly like you."
He stopped there and glanced back at Roy.

Many years ago.
"Have any of you seen him? He is very important to me. If anyone has seen him, tell me. The whole world will be rewarded generously."
On the bloodstained cliffs of God Valley, Charlotte Linlin had clutched a stack of photographs, shoving Roy's picture at members of the Roger Pirates with uncharacteristic urgency, begging anyone to recognize him.
Farther off, Tsuru was doing the same thing among the Marines.
Year after year. How many years had passed since then?
Roy had never appeared.
Time kept marching. Charlotte Linlin and Tsuru only missed him more.
Time could be a cure. Sometimes, it was poison instead.
The longer Roy stayed missing, the deeper their longing carved into them, until their feelings had become something neither of them could shake off.
Over the years, Linlin had teamed up with Tsuru again and again, in secret and in the open. To search for Roy. To search for pure gold. To chase down any rumor that might lead to him.
She scoured the four seas and the Grand Line, reaching Final Island even before Roger. Somewhere along the way, the World Government, spooked by her power and ambition, slapped a new title on her as a political move.
Female Pirate King.
All she really wanted was to find Roy.
As for Tsuru, she had rotated steadily through branches in all four seas and both ends of the Grand Line, quietly using her position to gather information and hunt for hints of Roy.
Two extraordinary women, with terrifying talent and reach, had combed the entire planet. They had even pushed into both polar regions, including the frigid wastes Shanks and Buggy would later argue about.
"Is the North Pole colder, or the South Pole?"
And still, Roy was nowhere.
Had he been killed? Some whispered that possibility.
The only one who knew the truth, the crafty Pandora, never breathed a word to Linlin or anyone else.

With all that laid out, the story drifted back to 1505, to Shakky's Rip Off Bar on the Sabaody Archipelago.
"Haha. A few years after that mess, when a red haired brat came aboard our ship, we joked that the kid from that old photo looked a lot like Shanks. We even wondered if you were his missing father or something."
As Rayleigh sank into the memory, he could not help laughing out loud. Shakky just stared at him, utterly speechless.
Did he really not see how terrifying this was?
If the redhead in that photo was the same Roy now sitting in front of them…
Charlotte Linlin had already pulled off something ridiculous by staying young. On top of that, she had allegedly gotten Kureha's youth secret.
And it seemed they had acquired something else along the way.
But Roy… Roy had vanished for decades and then reappeared with the exact same body. A child. No growth. No aging. Nothing.
He was even more outrageous than Linlin.
A woman whose age refused to show was one thing.
A boy whose age had frozen was something else entirely.
It was pure horror story material.
What are you?
Some kind of monster?

Roy sat there in silence for a long time.
He had never imagined that Linlin and Tsuru would launch such an extravagant missing person search for him.
Pirates and Marines, both mobilized over one boy.
Great.
He was just wondering how he was going to write this chapter of his life…
His original plan was simple. Take Hancock and the others, hijack a ship, and get off Sabaody as fast as he could.
Then Rayleigh appeared halfway through that plan and dragged him here.
He had just been thinking about how to sweet talk Rayleigh into giving him special training, and then his identity had been accidentally exposed.
Fortunately, compared to his status eight hundred years ago, this was nothing.
Those heartless, godlike parents from eight hundred years past should be long dead by now. Aside from Toki, his wife back then, there was no one left who could trace his real identity from that era.
I need help. I am panicking. How am I supposed to get past Rayleigh on this?
"Kid, what do you think?" Rayleigh asked with a wicked grin. "Should I hand you over to Charlotte Linlin?"
"Or maybe… to Vice Admiral Tsuru instead?"
Shakky leaned her cheek into her hand and smiled slowly at him, eyes narrowed.
"Absolutely not!"
Hancock shot to her feet, chair scraping loudly, and glared at the two troublemakers with open fury.
