In the Kamui Dimension.
"Hmm..."
Furina rested her chin on her hand, looking at everyone with a very strange expression.
Four Otsutsuki. That boy who asked her for ramen had inexplicably become the adopted son of one of them.
As for the pineapple-headed guy they first met, his eyes were now vacant, as if his father had died, and he was quietly being held by Kinshiki.
What kind of setup was this?
Haku and Kimimaro curiously peeked out from behind Furina, with the Ten-Tails following suit at their feet.
The scene was a bit strange for a moment.
"It's already noon. Should we go back and get another bowl of ramen?"
...
Konoha Village.
Black Zetsu, who had been searching all morning, had no idea that his real mother had adopted another son. He was just sitting in a pile of trash, looking utterly dejected.
A strange white substance beside him moved twice, then a White Zetsu crawled out, whispering something in his ear.
It was nothing more than the scattered White Zetsu having found absolutely nothing. They could feel Kaguya was nearby, but couldn't pinpoint her at all.
This result was expected. Black Zetsu, utterly despairing, covered his head and let out a long howl at the sky.
A banana peel flew over, directly hitting his head.
"You over there! What are you yelling about in broad daylight?!"
A few passersby, annoyed by the noise, cursed and grumbled as they left.
Removing the banana peel from his head, Black Zetsu fell into brief thought.
The last time he felt this desperate was when he first emerged and saw his mother sealed. He didn't expect to experience it again now.
Thinking this, Black Zetsu's eyes filled with resentment, and he directly crushed the banana peel in his hand.
"Who exactly is obstructing me!"
The revived Sage of Six Paths, hidden in space, watched Black Zetsu's miserable state. Although he still maintained an aloof and composed appearance on the surface, his heart was already laughing like a pig.
When someone who is about to die suddenly comes back to life, their mindset usually changes. The old man was like this now.
Doing things he wouldn't dare to do before, or couldn't do, or didn't need to do, to truly experience what it meant to be alive.
As for fate, screw fate. Just leave it to Momoshiki.
Now, the Sage of Six Paths could traverse the universe with just his physical body, but he wasn't interested in the universe. His current goal was still to protect the Ninja World, and incidentally, mess with this Black Zetsu.
He didn't know if a trace of Elation's power was mixed into the stellar power when his body was created, but now the old man only felt like seeking fun.
Thinking this, just as the Sage of Six Paths was about to guide a few more passersby to annoy Black Zetsu, he suddenly sensed his mother's aura.
Holy crap! Why did Momoshiki bring Kaguya to Konoha Village?!
The old man's expression froze. He spread his divine sense to observe, and saw Naruto excitedly gesturing to Kaguya about how delicious ramen was, while Kaguya listened gently.
Behind them followed Furina, Momoshiki, Boruto, Haku, and Kimimaro.
Kinshiki and Toneri weren't interested in the lower lifeforms' food, so they were in the Kamui Dimension, studying the Ten-Tails they had never seen before.
Sage of Six Paths: "..."
Where did this tour group come from?
Kaguya, who was listening to Naruto introduce ramen flavors, suddenly sensed something and froze.
Then she involuntarily looked towards a deserted corner.
To outsiders, it was just an ordinary place that wouldn't attract any attention, but the Sage of Six Paths felt cold sweat trickling down his back.
Because the old man was hiding right there.
Not daring to meet his mother's gaze, the Sage of Six Paths turned his head away, staring blankly at the corner of the wall, pretending to be a passerby.
He completely forgot that he was still floating cross-legged in the air.
Seeing her own son like this, Kaguya's lips curled into a helpless smile, then she turned her head away, ignoring him.
Adopted sons were better.
Feeling his mother retract her gaze, the old man couldn't help but let out a long breath, releasing his tense heart, but at the same time, he felt a little lost.
With a slight movement of his finger, Black Zetsu, who was spacing out, suddenly felt a sense of weightlessness, and then was directly thrown to a certain spot in the forest.
"Bastard——!!!"
Black Zetsu, landing face-first, immediately got up and cursed loudly.
He could now completely confirm that some old geezer was obstructing him from finding his mother.
His divine sense couldn't feel anything around him. He cursed for a long time, but no one came out.
Black Zetsu would never give up. He kicked a small, bowl-sized tree, tidied his clothes, straightened his human-face mask, and continued towards Konoha Village.
No power could stop Black Zetsu from finding his real mother.
...
At Ichiraku Ramen, Ayame and Old Man Ichiraku fell into brief thought, seeing two more humanoid creatures with horns on their heads and pale skin.
Oh well, what hasn't a ramen shop seen?
Old Man Ichiraku playfully chatted with Naruto for a bit, briefly getting to know Naruto's adopted mother from who-knows-where, then personally started cooking noodles.
Ayame, on the other hand, was curious about Haku and Kimimaro, especially Kimimaro, who seemed to be the same species as Momoshiki and Kaguya.
Because she had no hostility, but rather a gentle feeling, the three of them could chat quite well, including Furina.
Only Momoshiki had a "do not approach" sign on him, looking very oppressive.
Oh, right, and Boruto, whose expression was still like his father had died, sitting on the stool with his head down, utterly devoid of hope.
...
Near Ichiraku Ramen, Jiraiya, who had just finished gathering material, was walking with a bruised head and two slap marks on his face, groaning. He suddenly caught a glimpse of a familiar figure turning a corner.
"Hey! Where did you run off to?"
Jiraiya waved his hand unhappily, signaling Sasuke to come over quickly.
Sasuke, who was looking for Boruto, turned his head at the call. Seeing it was Jiraiya, he walked over.
"Didn't I tell Naruto to keep an eye on you? Why are you running around alone? If Tsunade finds out, she'll probably beat me up again."
Jiraiya said, covering his face and complaining.
Sasuke merely glanced at Jiraiya's swollen slap marks and understood what this guy had been up to again. He crossed his arms and sighed helplessly.
"I need to leave for a moment. I was just looking for someone, but I haven't found them yet, so I came back to meet up with Boruto."
Saying this, Sasuke asked, "By the way, have you seen Boruto and Naruto?"
"No, I just got back from gathering material."
Because his face was swollen, Jiraiya's voice was a bit muffled and hoarse, making people want to laugh.
However, Sasuke had no intention of mocking him; he was just thinking nervously about something.
He always felt something was off, like something bad was about to happen. His heart was pounding.
He had to quickly meet up with Boruto!
Thinking this, Sasuke carefully considered where Naruto would take new friends when he was little.
He looked up at the midday sun, and quickly locked his gaze on Ichiraku Ramen not far away, then immediately set off.
Since it was noon, eating was essential. Naruto loved Ichiraku Ramen, which was something everyone in Konoha Village knew, so there was no reason not to eat there.
Jiraiya slowly followed behind.
Sasuke ran at top speed, lifted the curtain, and then instantly froze.
What did he see? Was he seeing things, or was it genjutsu?
Sasuke, incredulous, closed the curtain, then opened it again. It was still the same scene.
Naruto was nestled in Kaguya's arms, an aura of motherly love and filial piety wafting over. Boruto, on the other hand, sat beside them, utterly devoid of hope, his eyes seemingly having lost all desire to live.
Momoshiki was bored, playing with chopsticks. Furina, who was originally possessed as a vessel, was chatting with Ayame, accompanied by two children.
The important thing was that he felt like he had seen these two children somewhere, but he couldn't remember for a moment.
At this moment, Sasuke felt like plucking out his eyeballs, washing them, and putting them back in, then carefully checking if he was seeing things.
Feeling the curtain being lifted, Boruto stiffly turned his head, like a robot.
Seeing that it was Sasuke, Boruto's tears suddenly flowed out. He immediately rushed into Sasuke's arms, looking utterly humiliated.
"What exactly is going on?!"
Feeling the touch in his arms, Sasuke knew this was no illusion, but something truly happening.
"Dad... Da... Naruto, he..."
Boruto whimpered, unable to speak clearly. He felt dizzy, as if the sky had fallen, his body limp, almost collapsing on the spot.
"Oh? Is that the street performer? You've come at a good time. Want to eat ramen together? Furina's treating."
Naruto excitedly waved at Sasuke.
Sasuke: "..."
He had only left for a while to investigate some Otsutsuki ruins. How did it feel like he had missed a century?
"I heard Naruto's voice. He's here after all," Jiraiya, covering his face, lifted the curtain.
Seeing the scene in front of him, he only felt a little surprised, then familiarly pulled over a stool and sat down.
Jiraiya's tolerance was quite strong, and his ability to accept and adapt was also the same.
Anyway, Momoshiki truly had no intention of threatening the Ninja World. Instead of being constantly worried, it was better to maintain a good relationship.
"You didn't even call me for ramen."
Naruto glanced at the bump on his master's head and the slap marks on his face, and immediately understood what this old pervert had been up to again.
"What's wrong? Perverted Sage, you're always doing unspeakable things. I couldn't even find you if I wanted to!"
"I've told you how many times, I was gathering material for my novel! Not peeping!" Jiraiya slapped his thigh, saying in dissatisfaction.
Kaguya: "..."
Furina: "..."
Ayame: "..."
The two innocent little ones didn't understand what Jiraiya had done, nor did they know what kind of peeping would earn such contempt from everyone. They just curiously scrutinized Jiraiya's slap marks.
You know, they were incredibly red, with clear finger marks. It seemed he had been hit quite hard.
Unlike the playful banter here, Sasuke, with a dark expression, dragged Boruto out.
At the doorway, watching Boruto vividly describe what had happened, snot and tears flowing, Sasuke also felt like the sky was falling.
He should have fought Momoshiki to the death back then.
Now, Kaguya had become Naruto's adopted mother, the past history was completely changed, and the future was doomed.
"Wuwuwu..."
Boruto wiped his snot with Sasuke's sleeve, and incidentally wiped away his tears.
Sasuke: "..."
