Her body jerked in violent spasms.
Electric current roared through every nerve in Noir's body.
Blood slipped from the corner of her lips, dripping onto the steel floor—
each drop sounding like a countdown.
One of the researchers grinned in delight.
"Stubborn little doll. Just a bit more and her nervous system will explode."
The pain inside Noir was impossible to describe.
She stared at them, filled with agony, hatred… and a faint trace of regret.
Suddenly—
Noir's eyes flared.
Her right eye burned blue.
Her left eye ignited red.
A surge of energy burst outward, crawling straight into the electrical system.
BOOM—!!
CRASH—!!
The control panel short-circuited.
Wires sparked wildly.
A violent explosion shook the entire room.
Several people were thrown backward by the blast pressure.
Black smoke rolled upward as alarms screamed nonstop.
The men in black coats panicked.
"Fu*k it! She wrecked the system!"
"Shut it down! Now!!"
Too late.
Every high-voltage device detonated, blinding white light swallowing the lab whole.
Some fled in terror.
Others collapsed, bodies twitching as live wires touched them.
Noir sat there, gasping for breath.
Blood seeped from her wrists where the restraints bit into her skin.
Her body trembled—but her gaze stayed fixed forward.
Cold. Unbroken.
Even exhausted, she wore a faint smile—
half contempt, half challenge.
Lysander rushed forward, shouting.
"Stop it! She's going to die!"
His voice drowned under curses.
Someone grabbed his collar and shoved him back hard.
"Listen here—she's a product. And so are YOU.
Don't get cocky just because you delivered her, got it?!"
Lysander staggered, trying to fight back,
but others restrained him.
In that moment—
he felt completely useless.
A scientist spat out,
"Rebellious dog."
"Let's see if she still has strength next time."
Outside VOID.
Orion and Specter blended into the town crowd.
A massive public screen flickered above them.
"Emergency Special Wanted Target: Noir
Currently detained in research sector.
Status: Unstable – Extremely Dangerous."
Footage played—
Noir, bloodied, bound to a steel chair.
Her eyes blazing moments before the system exploded.
The square fell silent.
Some people laughed.
Some looked away in pity.
Orion clenched his teeth, growling.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME, BITCH… they turned her into entertainment."
Specter stood frozen.
Pain crushed his chest as he watched the girl he loved reduced to a broken body on display.
He turned to Orion, voice low and shaking.
"We're bringing her back."
They rushed back to the bunker.
The news hit Ari and the Doctor like a hammer.
Silence suffocated the room.
The Doctor slammed his fist on the table.
"Damn dogs! They want to turn Noir into a weapon of mass destruction."
Ari slowly clenched her hands, blue eyes dark with worry.
She looked straight at Specter and Orion.
"Are you willing… to gamble everything to get Noir back?"
No hesitation.
Both nodded.
In their eyes, only one goal remained—
tear Noir out of the Organization's jaws.
After the explosion, the researchers were shaken—but smug.
"Well done. Struggle all you want.
You're nothing but a disposable pawn."
They ordered Noir dragged back to the special holding cell.
Her body was limp.
Wrists and ankles bruised purple.
Her breathing shallow and heavy.
The steel door slammed shut.
Noir fell into a deep sleep—
exhausted beyond awareness.
Midnight.
Kaelith stood before the bars.
Her eyes flickered with tangled emotions.
She watched Noir sleeping and whispered, barely audible,
"I'm sorry…"
Guilt gnawed at her heart.
But her legs refused to step inside.
Elsewhere in the Organization.
Kaelith knelt before the higher-ups, bowing again and again.
"Please spare my parents… they have nothing to do with this…"
"I brought Noir back, just like you wanted…"
Only cold laughter answered.
"Then behave and do your job.
We don't need traitors."
"There's plenty of work ahead. Don't worry—
your parents are doing very… well. Hahaha."
Kaelith bit her lip, swallowing everything.
Inside Noir's cell.
Lysander slipped in quietly and sat beside her.
He wiped the dried blood from her forehead, her lips.
His hands trembled as he applied medicine to her wounds.
His eyes were dark, choked with pain.
"Noir… how did it end up like this…"
He bowed his head, clutching her hand—
a man desperately grasping for the last warmth left in the world.
