A serious Michael was even more intimidating than Sirzechs. He was the head of the Seraphs, a survivor of the Great War, and the lynchpin of the "System." He was a guaranteed "Super Satan-Class" powerhouse.
Ethan suspected that Sirzechs and Michael were holding back immensely. If they truly let loose, they'd likely crack the Three Realms itself.
"Ornis, has the Khaos Brigade allied with the Ten Primary Gods?" Michael's voice was low and dangerous. "Or is this just the treachery of a few?"
"I have no obligation to answer a traitor who mingles with the lowly," the mechanical angel replied in a distorted, metallic voice.
"Ten Primary Gods?" Ethan's interest piqued. "Lord Michael, is there a god-class powerhouse named Freya among them?"
"Yes. The deity codenamed 'Freya' is one of the ten."
"Codenamed?"
"The titles of the Ten Primary Gods are inherited. They've changed hands many times over the eons," Michael explained briefly.
Vali, having no patience for talk, lunged forward. The 4-v-4 battle exploded. Lucifer vs. Lucifer, Leviathan vs. Leviathan. Even while holding back to avoid destroying the continent, the shockwaves were staggering.
Vali's Divine Dividing allowed him to absorb half of Sirzechs' power upon contact, letting him trade blows with the Satan. Meanwhile, Katereia was having a much harder time. Despite her abyssal-infused magic, she was being systematically dismantled by Serafall. Within a few exchanges, Katereia's glasses were shattered and her hair was a mess. It was clear Serafall was pulling her punches, or the fight would have ended in minutes.
In the other corner, Michael was absolutely ragdolling the mechanical Ornis. The mechanical angel was incredibly durable, surviving several meteor-sized impacts, but he couldn't land a single hit on the Seraph.
Looks like they've got this under control, Ethan thought. Grayfia, the "Strongest Queen," was also standing guard, ready to protect Rias at all costs. She was working on breaking the spatial lock the Brigade had placed on the area.
Suddenly, a deep purple magic circle formed right next to Ethan.
"Get back!" Ethan roared.
BOOM!
A massive explosion rocked the ground, creating a small mushroom cloud of dust. Sirzechs and Serafall's hearts sank; they couldn't sense the girls through the magical interference.
Ethan stepped out of the smoke, his left arm already encased in the Boosted Gear. "Rias, stay sharp. I can't protect you and fight this guy at the same time."
"To block a strike from me... impressive for a brat," an old Devil with unique, gnarled horns emerged.
Zorga? Ethan cursed internally. He recognized the old man. Zorga was an Archduke of the Devils, an old-school powerhouse who had reached the "Super Satan-Class" by the skin of his teeth. He was almost at the end of his lifespan and was desperate to steal the power of the Demon King Wilbert (from The Testament of Sister New Devil) to extend his life.
"Zorga," Sirzechs sighed. "One more remnant of the old age fades today."
Zorga didn't care about the commentary. He unleashed a barrage of high-level magic circles, forcing Sirzechs to engage him. Now it was a 5-v-4, and the pressure was mounting.
