The Dialogue with Echo flourished. The Beckoning Glade, now referred to with the more respectful Linua term Echo-Ven, or "Listening Heart," continued its metamorphosis from a hungry mirror into a thoughtful companion. Its luminous schematics grew more intricate, its garden of responsive flora more diverse. It began to anticipate the team's routines, dappling the light in a cheerful yellow pattern when Fenna returned from her morning water-tasting rounds, or shifting to a focused, deep blue when Renn was engrossed in his geological modeling.
This success, however, bred a new kind of challenge one the Guild's Ethos of Reciprocal Attention had not anticipated.
