Atlas and his sister Selena were still fighting Venara, all three wielding Poseidon ultimate skill. Atlas charged first, his spear cleaving the water with tremendous force, blasting blow after blow at Venara, but she deflected each attack with terrifying precision. Her spear met his, blue sparks exploding with every impact.
Selena didn't stand idly by. She rushed to her brother aid, and the three engaged in a fierce exchange of blows, flitting from place to place in an instant. Selena felt the tide turning against them.
She raised her energy to its maximum, and an incomplete esterazine formed around her, a turbulent but powerful aura of water. She screamed and shot a direct attack at Venara. Venara spotted the attack and blocked it with one hand. Selena and Atlas froze in astonishment. "You think a weak skill like that can defeat me?" Venara said mockingly.
Vinara unleashed her power directly at Selena, and the esterazine vanished as if it had never existed. Selena recoiled in disbelief. "This… is impossible!"
In an instant, Vinara appeared before her. "It's not impossible… you're just weak," she said harshly.
She delivered a powerful blow to Selena stomach. Selena fell heavily to the ground. Atlas cried out and rushed to his sister's aid, his spear aimed straight at Vinara's chest, but she caught it.
She lifted Atlas through the spear and slammed him to the ground with all her might. The ground cracked beneath his body. Vinara stood up and began to gather immense power in both hands, directing it at both Atlas and Selena simultaneously.
Before she could unleash her attack, a shard of ice shot swiftly toward her face. She dodged it, but it grazed her cheek. She raised her head in anger.
Lucien stood atop one of the ruined buildings, surrounded by dozens of icy shards, his eyes gleaming with a deadly chill. He began firing shards one after another.
Venara dodged the barrage, then slammed her spear into the ground, creating a semi-circular water barrier that surrounded her, blocking every attack. Lucian was exhausted; the marks of his battle with Merita were evident on his body.
Atlas and Selena struggled to their feet, staggering from the blows. "I'm going to use Frozen Moon," Lucian telepathically told them. "I need you to distract her."
Before he could finish, he sensed another energy. Merita's. Angry, raging, overflowing with a terrifying intensity. Lucian noticed her body was frozen, beginning to crack. Merita moved swiftly toward him, landing a direct blow that he parried with difficulty with his spear, nearly collapsing from exhaustion. "If I can't make you mine… no one will!" Merita's eyes were distorted with madness.
Lucian began to notice her; she was gathering all her energy in her heart. He knew instantly what she intended to do: self-destruct. An ice bomb. An explosion that would freeze everything within a three-kilometer radius. "Selena! Atlas! Run!" Lucian shouted, after explaining to Merita what she intended to do.
But Selena cried out, sobbing, "No! My father... the Sea King... was killed by Venara! And I don't want to lose you too!"
Lucian froze. He realized the truth too late. "Run!" he yelled at her. "Don't think of me!"
Before she could resist, Atlas struck her on the neck, and she lost consciousness. Lucian stared at him in astonishment. "That's the right thing to do," Atlas said calmly and resolutely.
Then he formed a dragon from water and placed Selena on it. "Take her out of the kingdom," he told it.
"If you die here, Atlas, Selena will have no one left!" Lucian cried, fighting back.
"And who said we're going to die?" Atlas retorted, advancing forward.
He drew his spear, charged at Merita, and struck her, hurling her directly at Venara. Then he stood before them both. Telepathically, he said, "Use your skill. I'll buy you time."
Lucian didn't argue. He began his Frozen Moon. Atlas, meanwhile, unleashed his remaining arsenal. He fought Venara and Myretha simultaneously, dodging, blocking, and charging.
Myretha unleashed a barrage of ice shards, which he dodged, but some struck him. Seeing his unsteadiness, Venara charged at him with incredible speed, her spear aimed for him. At the last moment, he swerved.
It pierced his right side, his abdomen. Atlas caught her spear, immobilizing her, and delivered a powerful punch to her face. She was propelled to the ground, striking Merita. Atlas fell to his knees, his body riddled with wounds. He whispered, "That's all I have, Lucian… the rest is up to you."
Lucian sensed Atlas energy waning. "Damn it… I haven't gathered enough energy yet to… activate the skill," he said anxiously.
Suddenly, a hand landed on his shoulder. He turned; it was Selena. "What are you doing here?!" he exclaimed, bewildered.
She placed her hand on his spear and imbued it with her energy. "Finish it, Lucian," she said steadily, tears streaming down her face.
A water shield enveloped him. Just as Venara was about to kill Atlas, Lucian sped forward, striking her and tossing her aside. "You're late, you fool," Atlas said, grinning.
"Sorry," Lucian replied. "Rest now."
Then he turned and charged to eliminate Venara and Merita.
