Morning sunlight slipped through the blinds and fell across the bedroom.
On the bed, Linen—still sound asleep—frowned unconsciously.
Something felt… wrong.
As if someone was holding onto him.
Half-awake, he muttered, "Don't mess around… it's too early for this…"
But halfway through the sentence, Linen suddenly froze.
Neither Jessica nor Barbara ever had this habit when they stayed over.
And more importantly—they weren't even staying in his apartment during the holidays.
His eyes snapped open.
Linen turned his head cautiously—and was stunned.
On the pillow next to him, Wanda rested her head on one hand, smiling softly at him. Her other hand was… somewhere it absolutely shouldn't be.
"You're awake, honey. I'll go get breakfast ready."
Wanda gave him a gentle morning kiss on the cheek before lifting the blanket and walking toward the kitchen in her pajamas.
For a moment, Linen just stared blankly at her back.
Did I time-travel again? Why is Wanda in my bed first thing in the morning?
He quickly scanned the room.
Everything was exactly as he had decorated it—nothing extra, nothing missing.
So what was going on?
He had made that video in the spoiler system, claiming that Wanda would be his future wife. But that was just something he created to help prepare Wanda mentally—and maybe increase his own chances.
But this? This made no sense.
"System, did I jump to a parallel universe?"
After taking a deep breath to steady himself, Linen asked.
[Weak multiverse energy detected, but the host has not left the original universe.]
Linen exhaled in relief—
—then froze again.
"Wait. Weak multiverse energy?"
He turned toward the kitchen.
"So… this Wanda came from the multiverse?"
"Dear~! Go wash up. Breakfast will be done soon!"
Hearing Wanda's cheerful voice, Linen forced himself to walk calmly into the bathroom.
He remembered the Wanda from Multiverse of Madness—the one who destroyed the Illuminati alone. But she used dream-walking through the Darkhold. She couldn't physically travel between universes.
Otherwise she wouldn't have needed to capture America Chavez.
But the Wanda in this universe should only be 16 right now—17 at most.
The Wanda who appeared in his bed this morning was clearly over 25.
Which meant she hadn't dream-walked into this universe.
She had crossed the multiverse physically—something far beyond the Wanda of the Darkhold.
But if she was that powerful… why come find him?
Just because he claimed Wanda was his girlfriend in a video?
Linen splashed cold water on his face to clear his head.
After a moment of thought, he decided to act naturally for now.
When he entered the living room, Wanda took off her apron with a warm smile—looking every bit the gentle wife.
"All washed? Come sit," she said sweetly.
She carefully placed a fried egg into his bowl.
"Thanks…"
Linen reached for his utensils—then paused as he remembered her early-morning behavior.
"…Um, did you wash your hands before cooking?"
"Of course I washed my hands!"
Wanda rolled her eyes—but her cheeks flushed red.
She, too, remembered what she'd done earlier.
Linen finally relaxed and began eating.
Wanda watched him quietly. Aside from his initial shock this morning, he hadn't questioned her at all.
That made her the confused one now.
After a long moment, she finally asked softly, "Don't you have anything you want to ask me?"
Linen looked up.
"Are you planning to tell me what's going on?"
Wanda hesitated, then nodded.
"…Do you know about the multiverse?"
When Linen nodded, she continued:
"I'm not the Wanda from this universe. I'm from another universe entirely."
"I did terrible things in my world… I even killed countless people because of a single obsession."
"Just when I was about to end everything with my own life… Loki found me."
"He and Sylvie used a strange ability to resurrect the ones I killed. In return, I agreed to help them."
"Loki told me that the Wanda of this universe will marry you… and that you will have two very adorable children."
At that, her eyes dimmed, and a scarlet glow began to flicker dangerously.
"Why did I have to lose my parents… my brother Pietro… and even the two children I created with magic?"
"But the Wanda of this universe gets a husband, Pietro alive, and two real children?"
"This isn't fair!"
As the red aura surged, the furniture in the room trembled and lifted into the air.
Linen calmly set down his chopsticks.
"Wanda. Breathe."
"…Sorry."
The glow faded, and the furniture dropped back down. Wanda quickly stood up, flustered by the mess she caused.
"I'll cook another breakfast for you—"
"No need."
Linen stopped her.
"So… because you suffered in your universe, you want the Wanda here to—"
"No! It's not like that!"
Wanda waved her hands anxiously.
"In Sylvie's words, I haven't turned evil. I'm just… unwilling."
"I want real children of my own. I want to have two adorable babies with my own body."
Then she looked at Linen softly, almost pleading.
"Since you're Wanda's future husband anyway… can't I borrow you?"
