"Five years we've waited for this."
Aria's voice was cold and controlled as she sat in the back of the SUV approaching the sixteenth arrondissement, and her eyes were fixed on the elegant buildings passing by the window.
"Five years since the network killed our parents and left me for dead," Dmitri added, and his hand unconsciously moved to his chest, where bullet scars remained beneath his shirt. "Tonight we end this."
Marcus sat in the front passenger seat, and tension showed in every line of his body as Viktor navigated the Paris streets.
"James is mine to confront," Marcus said quietly. "This betrayal is personal between us. I need to face him alone."
"Agreed," Aria said, though reluctance showed in her voice. "We're not here for James specifically anyway. We're here for the network. But Marcus, we'll make sure he doesn't escape."
