Shoyu entered her room. The lightness in her steps and the slight relaxation in her shoulders made it clear that her mood was uplifted. A very subtle, yet unmistakable, satisfied smile lingered at the corners of her lips.
Kilyan stopped near the door and looked at her with curiosity. His voice was cautious, but he could not hide the interest within it.
"Miss… did he agree?"
Before answering, Shoyu walked to the bed and sat down. The mattress sank lightly. She placed her hands on her knees and spoke in a calm tone.
"Yes. I told him I would give him two hundred gold."
These words struck Kilyan like an unexpected blow. His eyes widened, and a mix of surprise and disapproval appeared in his voice.
"Miss, that was all our money… are you giving it all away?"
