Chapter 301 - Chapter 301: Casting a Wide Net

"These... are all... for me?!" Lumine gazed at the Primogems in the crates, then looked up at Ningguang.

Ningguang smiled and nodded. "There are a million Primogems here, collected over the past few months. I heard they would be useful to you. Traveler, are you satisfied with this reward?"

"Satisfied? More than satisfied! Thank you so much!" Lumine desperately wanted to rush forward and embrace Ningguang's smooth, slender jade feet.

Overwhelmed with excitement, Lumine immediately pounced on her dozen or so Primogem boxes, her grin nearly splitting her face from ear to ear.

"I'm rich! I'm rich!"

With these Primogems, she could restore a significant portion of her strength at once. The next time she faced the black-robed figure, she would pulverize its brain into mush!

-

Player World.

[Primogems! ! ! Aaaaaah! ! !]

[Is this for us?! A million Primogems!]

[This has to be for us, right? It has to be!]

[Hiss—my heart's racing like crazy!]

[I'll go first! Mihoyo, if you give me these million Primogems, I promise I'll never criticize you again, I swear!]

[Screenshot, screenshot! The most beautiful scene in the world!]

[Aaaaaah, please give them to me! I'm pulling for Qingxu and only have enough for the small pity!]

-

Angie and the other top six finishers didn't receive their rewards until now, unlike Fidelle and the others who had received theirs the previous night or earlier.

Angie received a yellow box, which she didn't open immediately but instead stored in her Vision Space.

Vanyeliya also received a yellow box. She held it in her hand for a moment, examining it playfully, before handing it to Angie.

"Huh? Why are you giving it to me? Keep it for yourself—this opportunity is rare."

Vanyeliya paused, then took the box back.

Having received her reward, Angie prepared to leave. She had thoroughly enjoyed the Summit and hoped there would be more such events in the future.

As she and Vanyeliya exited the venue, they spotted Tartaglia and Ailina waiting nearby.

"My lady—" Ailina's voice carried a hint of reproach. Angie patted her shoulder on tiptoe, offering comfort.

"You're my personal guard. No one can ever replace you, you silly goose. Understand?"

Ailina trembled slightly, a smile spreading across her face.

See? I've been by my lady's side for so long. How could a newcomer ever take my place?

-

Over here, Lumine happily packed up all the Primogems. Just as she left the venue, Venti, Zhongli, and Rukkhadevata approached.

Paimon shrank behind Lumine. "Whoa, all three of you together? Something big must be up!"

"No need to worry," Zhongli replied. "We simply wish for you two to accompany us in finding someone."

"Finding someone? Who?"

Venti grinned and draped an arm over Lumine's shoulder. "Let's go, Traveler! You'll find out soon enough. Besides, you still have a reward to claim~"

"More?!"

Lumine already felt like she'd hit the jackpot with a million Primogems. She never imagined there was even more!

Snap!

Venti snapped his fingers, and a Cecilia Flower instantly appeared in his hand.

"A flower? What kind of reward is that?!" Paimon exclaimed, crossing her arms.

"Ehe, this one carries the Anemo Archon's essence," Venti chuckled. "Don't compare it to Mondstadt's wine bottles, though. If you're ever in trouble, just crush it. Even in the windless Sea of Still Cinders, I'll sense it."

Venti explained that this Cecilia Flower was a communication tool—a special one, unaffected by barriers.

"I see..."

Understanding their intentions, Lumine carefully stowed the flower away.

In essence, this Cecilia Flower was a "god-summoning" device—a one-time tool to call upon three deities at once.

With the Abyss's repeated successes, Venti and the others were finally making their own move.

Lumine traveled with the three gods—or rather, the three gods guided Lumine. Despite their slow pace, they moved surprisingly fast, even affecting Lumine and Paimon.

-

By the seaside.

"Brother, is this what was in your box?"

Angie held up a black vambrace and slipped it onto her wrist. The vambrace automatically conformed to her skin, feeling cool against her skin.

"Yeah, it's a defensive Mystic Treasure. I tested it—a full-power strike couldn't even leave a scratch on the shield it generates!"

"Oh~ So powerful? Let me try!"

Angie removed the vambrace and tossed it to Tartaglia.

After Tartaglia fastened it on, Angie summoned her longsword and slashed at him.

The icy blue blade light was completely swallowed by the shield without so much as a flicker.

"Hiss—a real treasure! I can't believe Liyue would offer something like this as a reward..."

"Didn't I tell you? Here, Little Sister, you wear it. No one will be able to hurt you now."

Angie turned away. "No way! It's so ugly—all black. Besides, I have my own! This is the second-place prize, so it's definitely better than yours. You keep that one for yourself."

Tartaglia considered her point and stowed the vambrace. He hurried after Angie.

"By the way, Little Sister, what was in your box? Let me see—Little Sister, Little..."

Angie raised her hand to stop Tartaglia as the four of them watched Lumine and her companions approach.

Tartaglia stepped forward. "Traveler, Mr. Zhongli, what brings you here?"

Tartaglia knew Zhongli's true identity as the Geo Archon. The two figures beside him had sat next to Mr. Zhongli throughout the Summit. Considering the other gods who had attended the Summit, who else could stand on equal footing with the Geo Archon but another deity?

The arrival of several gods left Tartaglia feeling uneasy.

"Young friend Childe," Zhongli said, "would you be so kind as to allow us a word with your sister?"

A word?

Tartaglia was puzzled, but Lumine subtly gestured from ahead. He glanced at his sister, who nodded in agreement. He nodded in consent.

"Please proceed."

Tartaglia led Vanyeliya and Ailina to one side.

Lumine and Paimon joined them.

"Traveler, do you know what's going on?" Paimon asked.

Lumine didn't answer, her gaze fixed on the two women behind Tartaglia.

Without a word from Tartaglia, Vanyeliya and Ailina proactively retreated to a distance. Only then did Lumine speak:

"Angie possesses a Pure Soul. You haven't forgotten that, have you?"

Tartaglia's expression turned serious as he nodded. He could never forget.

Lumine: "The Abyss's goal is to collect Pure Souls to aid some unknown, immensely powerful being in descending upon Teyvat—an entity even the Gods cannot resist.

"Apart from Angie, all the other known Persons of Pure Soul have already fallen into the Abyss's hands. Of the seven Persons of Pure Soul, the Abyss has already claimed three. Angie is in grave danger!"

Tartaglia frowned. "So, the incident that happened in Inazuma recently..."

Lumine: "The Abyss stole Inazuma's Pure Soul during that time. They are ruthless and cunning, killing Persons of Pure Soul in the most brutal ways imaginable. Only a Pure Soul that has been tortured to death can fully satisfy their needs..."

Tartaglia: "How did the Pure Soul in Inazuma die?"

Lumine and Paimon fell silent. Paimon turned and wandered away.

Lumine sighed and recounted the details of Yuna's death.

Creak...

Tartaglia clenched his fists so tightly that his knuckles cracked.
