After the blood-colored cocoon around Zi Yan fully formed, Zhu Li and Qi You finally relaxed. Their hand seals shifted, and the cocoon began to sink slowly, descending into the depths of the blood pool. Through the surface, the faint outline of the cocoon could still be seen, as boundless streams of pure energy surged downward, swirling like a great vortex.
Zhu Li and Qi You exhaled deeply. The wounds on their wrists healed instantly under their powerful physiques, yet the essence blood they'd lost was far from easy to recover. Their complexions were pale, and even their once-majestic auras seemed slightly weakened.
The two elders floated back and landed before Liu Xi and the others. Without wasting words, Zhu Li waved a sleeve, sending ripples across the air. In the blink of an eye, the world blurred — and when clarity returned, they were back inside the same spacious hall as before.
Qi You glanced at Zhu Li and said curtly, "I'll take my leave."
Before Liu Xi could reply, the old man took a single step forward and vanished without a trace. The movements of the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe were as ghostly as ever — when they wanted to leave, they simply disappeared.
Zhu Li remained behind, his pale face wearing an apologetic smile. "Liu Xi, Mister Yao, Miss Xiao — forgive Elder Qi You. He's always been this way. The blood pool baptism will not end quickly; for a royal successor, it may last quite some time. If you wish to remain on Dragon Island, anything you need, I will provide. But if you intend to leave, I can have Hei Qing escort you out. However…" His eyes turned sharp. "Zi Yan has only just returned to the tribe and her strength remains weak. I must ask that you keep her existence secret from the outside world."
By the end, Zhu Li's tone grew grave, the weight of his aura bearing down like a mountain. Liu Xi's smile froze, his body stiffening as endless pressure crushed down on him. His Dou Qi nearly froze in his veins, and cold sweat poured down his back.
Yao Tianhuo and Xiao Yixian stepped forward simultaneously, faces tense, dividing the immense pressure between them. Liu Xi bent slightly, gritting his teeth as he forced out his words.
"Elder Zhu Li, please rest assured. Zi Yan is important to us as well. We would never let her come to harm."
In the next instant, the oppressive force vanished like a receding tide. Liu Xi nearly collapsed, his legs weak, his entire body drained of strength.
Zhu Li gave a respectful bow. "Apologies for startling you, little friend. As compensation, name whatever you desire — and I shall do my best to fulfill it."
For at least a peak Dou Zun to apologize to a 1-Star Dou Zong was no small gesture. Even Yao Tianhuo looked slightly moved.
Liu Xi's robes clung to his back with sweat. Even without murderous intent, the pressure of at least a peak Dou Zun was not something a Dou Zong could easily withstand. Straightening with effort, he forced a faint smile.

"There's no need, Elder Zhu Li. We only acted for Zi Yan's sake. We didn't come to demand anything. Still, we won't be leaving Dragon Island just yet. Please prepare a quiet place for me — I plan to go into seclusion and organize my cultivation. It may take some time. As for Xian'er and Elder Yao, they'll decide whether to stay or roam the continent."
Xiao Yixian smiled softly. "Of course, wherever Young Master goes, I go. I, too, wish to enter seclusion for a while — my current strength is far too weak to protect you properly."
Zhu Li: "…"
Yao Tianhuo chuckled, his expression tinged with melancholy. Standing with his hands clasped behind him, he gazed at the ceiling. "I once longed for resurrection. Now that I live again, I find myself with nowhere to go. The continent has changed beyond recognition… perhaps it's best I retreat as well, to recover what I once was."
Liu Xi turned back to Zhu Li, bowing slightly. "Elder Zhu Li, please prepare three secluded cultivation chambers for us. We won't trouble you with anything else."
Zhu Li blinked, momentarily stunned — not because the request was difficult, but because it was so modest. Among humans, such composure in the presence of the wealthy and powerful Ancient Void Dragon Tribe was rare indeed.
"No problem at all," Zhu Li said warmly. "When you're ready to begin, simply inform me."
"No need to wait," Liu Xi said lightly. "Just now, under Elder Zhu Li's pressure, I felt a sign of breakthrough. I should be able to reach 2-Star Dou Zong today."
Zhu Li raised an eyebrow, visibly impressed. "Then let's go."
With a sweep of his sleeve, layers of spatial ripples enveloped the group, and they vanished once again.
The feeling of weightlessness returned, as though they drifted through an endless stream of images. When the world stabilized, Liu Xi blinked, his gaze falling upon an expanse of pure black void beneath his feet, where a silver light circle shimmered faintly.
They had already arrived outside East Dragon Island.
Zhu Li's voice rang out low and powerful. "Open!"
Before them, a single point of light appeared in the darkness, spinning rapidly until it expanded into a silver-white portal, radiating waves of spatial energy.
Lowering his hand, Zhu Li smiled. "This is an independent pocket space attached to East Dragon Island. On the continent, aside from a Dou Saint, only our Ancient Void Dragon Tribe possesses the innate ability to create such stable realms. Once inside, you can use this scroll to seal it completely. No one can open it from the outside — unless they possess Dou Saint-level power strong enough to destroy the space entirely. This is where our clan members enter seclusion for breakthroughs — absolutely undisturbed."
He handed Liu Xi a scroll. "This records the method to open and close the pocket space. As long as you have some grasp of spatial force, a Dou Zong should suffice."
Liu Xi accepted the scroll, admiration gleaming in his eyes. "To carve out an entire space for seclusion… the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe truly lives up to its legend."
He smiled faintly. "Thank you, Elder Zhu Li. I'll begin my seclusion immediately."
Turning to Yao Tianhuo and Xiao Yixian, Liu Xi nodded. Then, without hesitation, he stepped forward, passing through the silver light like water — entering the hidden chamber beyond.
Inside, the room was wide and serene. Moonlight stones embedded in the walls glowed softly, illuminating the chamber. Despite its simplicity, everything one might need — desk, bed, shelves — was neatly arranged. The energy here was no weaker than that of East Dragon Island itself.
Liu Xi opened the scroll, carefully studying the symbols and instructions for manipulating spatial seals. It was not a Dou Technique, but rather a simple spatial control method — well within his ability.
After memorizing it, he closed the scroll and stored it in his ring. Forming the required hand seal, he whispered, "Close!"
Ripples spread through the air as the silver-white entrance behind him slowly contracted until it vanished completely. The chamber was now sealed — silent and absolute.
"Let's begin… 2-Star Dou Zong."
Liu Xi turned toward the bed, eyes steady with resolve, and sat down cross-legged.
