Chapter 238 - Chapter 238: Fallen God Ravine

The Fallen God Ravine.

Located in the northern reaches of the Pill Region, the terrain here was twisted and fragmented, as if a primordial axe had once split the heavens and gouged the land into endless fissures.

Each ravine stretched for thousands of feet, their depths swallowed in eternal darkness. Within, toxic mists coiled like ghostly serpents, and countless poisonous creatures made their lairs in the shadows.

Because of this, few dared to set foot here—save for those with very particular needs. Yet today, three figures descended upon this cursed land: one man, two women.

Liu Xi led Zi Yan and Xiao Yixian to the top of a towering peak. Before them spread a desolate, stone-strewn plain—an endless field split apart by yawning black chasms.

The sight of those countless cracks, each darker than night and vanishing into the horizon, sent a chill crawling down the spine.

Liu Xi's voice was calm but resolute. "This is it—the Fallen God Ravine. Such a hostile land… no wonder a 7th Rank Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast could be born here."

After annihilating the Desire Immortal Sect, the trio had left Tian Xie City under nightfall, traveled to Floating Moon City, and from there used the Wormhole to reach the northern Pill Region.

A full month of dull travel later, they arrived at Lingyun City, rested for a day, and followed the map directly to their destination—the Fallen God Ravine.

Xiao Yixian's eyes gleamed with quiet anticipation as she gazed into the swirling haze. Even the very sky here was shrouded in black venomous mist. "Perhaps… the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast truly exists here," she whispered.

Zi Yan, hands on her hips, grinned widely. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go find it!"

Liu Xi chuckled. "Alright. Move out."

With a flash, the three turned into streaks of light and darted toward the entrance of the ravine.

---

The entrance lay between two towering slabs of black stone, forming a narrow passage several meters wide. The air was thick and still, no trace of life around.

Without hesitation, Liu Xi led the way through.

As they ventured deeper, the faint venomous haze thickened, tinting the air with a subtle green glow. Before long, they reached a desolate stretch of boulders where the fog coiled heavily.

Liu Xi frowned. The Fallen God Ravine was vast—endless in every direction. Though he was certain the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast lurked somewhere within, actually finding it was another matter entirely.

He turned toward Xiao Yixian. "That beast carries the purest poison under heaven. Can you sense its presence?"

As the bearer of the Woeful Poison Body, Xiao Yixian's affinity for toxic auras was unmatched.

Closing her eyes, she stood still for a moment. When she opened them again, a delicate frown curved her brow. "I can… but there are too many poisonous creatures here. I can't tell which one's aura belongs to the Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast."

Liu Xi nodded slightly. That made sense—she'd never encountered such a beast before.

After a moment's thought, his gaze hardened. His fingers brushed over his Storage Ring, feeling the dormant power of his Earth Demon Puppet, Ah Da, a trump card at the 7-Star Dou Zong level.

"Then we'll search the hard way," he said softly. "Xian'er, lead us to the strongest poisonous auras. We'll slay everything we find until we discover the right one. Better to kill by mistake than to let it slip away."

His voice held no hesitation. If he had to raze the entire Fallen God Ravine to find the beast, he would.

Xiao Yixian bit her lip gently, her eyes softening as she nodded. "Alright, Young Master. Follow me."

With that, their figures blurred and vanished into the mist, guided now by Xiao Yixian's poison sense instead of blind searching.

---

A day later.

The ravine's interior was a hellscape of swirling venom and decay. Only the most poisonous of beings could survive here; the entire place felt like a massive cauldron brewing toxins.

Deep below one of the thousand-foot cliffs, a white stone fortress stood shrouded in mists.

Suddenly—Whoosh!

Several shadows streaked through the fog, landing silently before the fortress.

"We're here," Xiao Yixian murmured. "The next strong poison source is inside."

Liu Xi halted, raising his gaze toward the faintly visible structure. "Let's hope this one doesn't disappoint."

Over the past day, they had already encountered two 7th Rank Magical Beasts—the Blackwater Kui Serpent King and the Heaven Star Bullfrog. Both had been formidable, but neither matched the poisonous aura they sought.

Now, this fortress held their third target.

He summoned Ah Da in advance. Together, the four approached swiftly, closing the distance to a mere thousand meters within seconds.

The closer they drew, the more oppressive the atmosphere became. Then—

ROAR!

The ground convulsed. A thunderous dragon's cry split the air, shaking the ravine to its core. The shockwave blasted stones into the air like a storm.

A voice boomed from within the fortress—deep, mocking, dripping with arrogance:

"Hahaha! The scent of the Woeful Poison Body… and it dares come to me? Perfect! Stay right there, little human. You'll be my offering—fuel for my breakthrough to the 8th Rank!"

The voice rolled like thunder, spreading across the mountains. Then, a crimson blur burst from the fortress with a shriek of tearing wind.

Out it came—A blood-red figure, with massive dragon wings spanning ten meters wide and a barbed scorpion tail trailing behind, its tip gleaming with a deadly, metallic sheen.

Liu Xi and his companions halted midair. Even from afar, the creature's overwhelming aura confirmed it—They had finally found it.

The Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast.

Suspended in the air, its humanoid form was unnervingly beautiful—aside from the wings and tail, it looked almost human. Its features were sharp, alluring, yet laced with an unholy charm.

Liu Xi mentally scoffed: 'Still a bit worse looking than me.'

Hovering above them, the beast's eyes locked onto Xiao Yixian, widening with predatory delight. "What fortune! Such a beautiful vessel! I've changed my mind… I'll use your Woeful Poison Body to bear my perfect heir—one of purest bloodline!"

Liu Xi smirked, glancing sideways at Xiao Yixian with playful mischief. "My Xian'er truly is irresistible. Even beasts can't resist her charm."

Her face flushed crimson.

"Young Master!" she hissed, half shy, half furious.

Liu Xi's expression then hardened into frost. His eyes narrowed, his tone cold enough to freeze the air.

"But you—daring to covet my woman? Today, I'll grind your bones to dust!"

The beast's gaze shifted toward him, then to Zi Yan—and suddenly, an odd sensation rippled through its blood.

Something ancient stirred within—a trace of fear, an urge to submit.

The Sky Poison Dragon Scorpion Beast frowned, confused. 'A dragon's blood should never bow… especially not to a mere girl!' It shook off the feeling, baring its fangs in a sneer.

"Humph! Just a petty Dou Huang dares speak so arrogantly before this king? I'll flay your flesh and let you watch—as I make your woman mine!"
