Crane has been sobbing for the past ten minutes, refusing to drink the juice Renzille pushed towards him, along with the pastries she bought for him.
It was clear to the adults around him that he was heartbroken, his hiccups that were accompanied with muffled cries a telltale sign.
"I-I don't know where I went w-wrong.." Crane sobbed against Renzille's skirt, clutching the expensive fabric so tight that it will surely leave a wrinkle later on.
"You were wrong about how you confessed your feelings towards my little sister." Renzille stated, running her fingers through the child's messy hair.
"But.. I was so sure she liked me, too.." Crane's voice was muffled, but Renzille heard him loud and clear. "W-Why would she visit me during my sad d-days then..? She even comforted me.. And hugged me.."
"Child, you're just delusional." Stellamaire sighed for the nth time. "Just because a little girl hugged you doesn't mean she likes you."
