"Lucien… wait… it's too…"
"Too what?" I pulled back just an inch, staring into her glazed eyes. "Too much? We haven't even started."
I kissed her jawline, trailing wet, open-mouthed kisses down her throat, sucking gently on the pulse point that fluttered wildly beneath her pale skin.
"Today," I whispered against her skin, "I am going to make you mine. Completely."
Ariana shuddered, a whimper escaping her throat. Her hands gripped my shoulders, her nails digging in.
I moved my hands from her waist, sliding them slowly up her ribcage. I could feel her heart hammering against her ribs, beating so fast I worried it might burst.
My fingers found the top button of her academy blouse.
"Lucien…" she breathed, her cheeks burning. She looked down, suddenly shy, trying to cover herself with her arms. "I… I'm not… I'm not as developed as Elisha or…"
"Don't," I commanded softly, gently moving her hands away. "Don't compare yourself. To me, you are perfect."
