Beyond the walls of Zelthar, the night had been completely shattered. The dark sky was slashed by magic light, artificial lightning, and flames bursting from burning monsters. The Northern snow was no longer white; it had become a spread of deep crimson and pitch black, mixed with mud and blood that steamed in the cold air.
