Peter Parker flicked through his math homework as his best friend Ned chattered in the background about Drecarios Frost's latest inventions and how they could affect the world. The pencil in his hand was precariously hung over the paper as he withheld his strength to the point of absurdity. The world was made out of nails and he was a hammer.
"Those robots of his could probably do a lot of things! Imagine if they were used as a workforce for the world's most dangerous jobs? OR! He could even use them to build habitats on other planets before Humans even move to them!!!" Ned geeked-out behind him as Peter solved differential equations and advanced calculus.
"Uh-huh, he could do a lot of good." The currently occupied Spider-Man hummed out as he finished one of the more complex questions in his homework.
"More than 'a lot' Pete! He could advance Humanity into the stars..." His best friend finished of wistfully, no doubt having fantasies of Alien women or something.
"Yeah, he's right up there with Mr. Stark in cool gadgets and awesome robots." Peter put down his pencil as he finished the last question, his homework splayed out in front of him chaotically as he exhaled in relief. "I even kind of agree with his premise with regards to terrorists... I mean, they use violence to get their way and yet don't expect people to fight back... He did and they immediately ceased all activity, if that doesn't show how right he was I don't know what will..." Pete finished succinctly, his friend nodding along as the news played in the background.
`"WE WILL STOP HIS TYRANNY!"`
Both teenagers turned quiet as they looked over at the television, the scene of several Superheroes standing against Drecarios playing out in front of their eyes.
"Wait, what...?" Ned asked incredulously.
Peter remained silent as he watched the media devolve into a frenzy of concerned, happy and exuberant questions. The video feed immediately cut out and was replaced by elevator music as the screen displayed a single sentence that made Peter feel a spike of dread pierce into his stomach.
`Please be advised, a member of that group has the power to control people's minds.`
The text flashed a few more times until the channel was shut down and the next channel in the list flickered onto the TV.
"What the hell!?!?" Ned launched to his feet and started mumbling to himself, his feet wearing away the carpet beneath him as he paced backwards and forwards.
Peter was about to comfort his friend until a tingle on the back of his neck alerted him to a dulled ping from his phone at the other side of the room. The teenage superhero rushed up to it and hastily went through the security code on his phone.
`Hey kid, I need to meet you at Avengers Tower. It's time to join the big league.`
`-Tony Stark`
"Pete?" His best friend said uneasily behind him.
"I've got to suit up Ned, Mr Stark needs my help."
"Can I come?" Ned asked imploringly, his eyes drooping in a way that he constantly thought made himself look 'cute' or 'adorable' enough to away Pete's opinions.
"I-I'm sorry, I think I have to go alone..."
Ned remained silent as Pete quickly grabbed an already packed backpack that sat in the corner of the room and opened the window in his room, jumping out of it without hesitation.

Artemis grimaced as she interrupted the scheduled broadcasting and sent out that message to the world. She didn't feel disgusted in the act of doing that, or stopping prattling idiots spreading propaganda... No, she was grimacing in revulsion at how deluded her father's old colleagues are.
"Steve Rogers is a glorified propaganda piece left over from World War 2 and has very little powers that could challenge us, let alone father... Daredevil is blind and uses echo-location to fight, practically useless against everyone except maybe base-humans or slightly enhanced humans." She paused as she watched the entire channel be erased from existence, no doubt the work of one of her siblings...
"Wolverine can regenerate from pretty much anything from what Rogue has mentioned to Discordia, so he can still be captured and locked away. Magneto is a problem for most of us but would be easy for father to handle. Ant Man is an unknown. The Fantastic Four could barely defeat Victor Von Doom when he was holding back, let alone facing half the Avengers and father..." She halted her examination as she felt a mass mobilisation from Jarvis; Tony Stark's AI assistant.
"The Hulk and Jean Grey are the largest threats. The former can verse Thor one on one and beat him given enough time... He is possibly weak to father's powers but that is untested. Jean Grey has psychic powers from what father left in the data-base for us... She is as dangerous if not more so than Professor Xavier and has the potential to become a world-ending threat." She finished her analysis.
`Sister, should we contact father?`Athena inquired through their private server connection.
`Yes.` Artemis responded before sending a warning signal to Discordia about what Jarvis was doing.

Discordia stepped out of the cargo ship in Paris France, her android body lithely disappearing amidst the hundreds of clanking FR2s that marched around her in a protective formation. Opposing her eloquent manner of walking was the pure anger that had crawled its way up her face, her right, lilac, eye twitching every few seconds as she observed Hermes cradling his girlfriend in his arms whilst bullets slowly tinkled onto the floor. His body was slowly pushing them out but it would take time.
"Street is secured Lady Discordia." The command FR2 intoned before stepping aside, letting her walk up to her younger brother.
"Good." She offhandedly remarked as her brother stared off into the middle distance, his eyes glazing over as Pietro stumbled into the wrecked café, bullet wounds spurting blood into his clothing and down onto the floor as he collapsed into the side of a nearby chair.
"Pietro!" Hermes shouted in alarm whilst attempting to lower Wanda to the floor.
"No, d-don't worry about m-me..." Pietro ordered softly as blood softly spurted out of his mouth onto his lips. A FR2 droid knelt down beside him and applied bacta and several fast sealing bandages but the damage was extensive and his organs were slowly failing.
"Of course I'm worried about you! You're bleeding out!" Hermes cried out in frustration and pain, his databanks filling with error codes as his personality matrix sparked every couple nano-seconds.
"H-heh-hehe... Don't w-worry -bout it... As long, as, my s-sister is o-o-okay, then th-that, is all I-I need..." He coughed and wheezed as the FR2 worked away, attempting to breathe some life into his extremely damaged body.
"What... What happened to you?" Hermes asked quietly as Discordia knelt next to him, her hand clasping softly onto his shoulder for support, her eyes tearing up as she witnessed her brother suffer with the events of the day.
"A-ambushed, two, streets a-a-aways... AH!" Pietro screamed in pain as the droid next to him stabbed an anaesthetic directly into his arm using a semi-long needle. "Ohhh... That's better..." The speedster commented as his eyes started drooping forwards in lethargy.
"Discordia... Where's dad?" Hermes whispered his question as Pietro softly drifted into sleep, his wounds all covered with bacta bandaging.
"Killing Shield and Hydra." Discordia declared proudly whilst the FR2s in the background opened fire into a squad of operatives that were instantly melted into fleshy puddles of atomic sludge.
Hermes stayed silent for a few moments, his hand moving a few sparse locks of hair of Wanda's away from her eyes, his fingers caressing her rosy-red cheeks as the sound of gunfire ceased.
"I want in..." He stated in an emotionless tone, his eyes flickering with hatred.
Discordia smiled towards her little brother.
"Of course... How would you like to kill the one I suspect started all of this?" She asked innocently.
He whipped his head in her direction and gazed deeply into her eyes.
"Who...?" He growled in askance.
"Jean Grey."
A bloodthirsty light flickered in his eyes as he watched the recent announcement from Steve Rogers, or most likely, Jean Grey.
"I will make the suffering of the Odyssey look like a picnic in comparison to what i will do to her." Hermes declared darkly as an aura of pure black and white surrounded his body, his arms flickering back and forth as if the image of them couldn't fully be processed by eyesight alone, their movements too fast.

Jean Grey chuckled as the peons below her all tackled one another in hopes of getting answers to why her great plan was taking place. It was pathetic. She held her sneer at the back of her mind and at the edge of her face, placidity being all anyone could see from her across the nation.
"You best be correct about this Jean..." Magneto muttered next to her, his brown eyes scanning the crowd as his purple helmet snuggly scrunched into his face.
"I am, now sit back and watch as the world hands Mutants a country to live within." She cockily asserted before mentally tugging on Steve Rogers, the man backing away from the podium as the announcement ended.
"We shall see... We shall see..." Erik repeated before turning away from the stage, floating away and behind the edifice to Jean's complex plots.
Jean growled softly, her eyes sparking in wild purple-red hues as the being inside of her scream at her for abusing its power in such a way. And yet, that same power did nothing to stop itself from being used by her... It was exhilarating to her.
Now if only she could have Rogue, then her plans for the future would be complete and she could create the perfect psychic progeny to ensure that the real version of Jean Grey was never able to return to the X-Men and cast her back to the void.
She sighed in annoyance... If only Drecarios had not gotten in her way.

I cleared the mind manipulation from Fury as he lay slumped on the floor. Behind me I felt the fear in every Shield Agent's mind and felt a deep seeded sense of unease at the fact that I had caused it without considering brainwashing or mind control... I was in a comic-book universe and I didn't think.
The urge to self-flagellate was intense but I hid the urge behind a sense of determination. Shield and Hydra would never exist as they once were, their staff could be useful for Rimecrest of Frostborn Dynamics... Either way, he had been fooled and used as a tool to remove two chess pieces from the board.
`Father, the Avengers have officially split... The fantastic four, The Hulk, Ant Man, Daredevil, Wolverine, Jean Grey and Magneto are standing against you.` Athena informed me over our connection as I felt my eyes narrowing at Jean's inclusion in this fiasco.
'She's becoming a problem...' I thought angrily.
`All FR2s are to protect our structures on the planet, including Avengers Tower and all of Tony Stark's properties. All of our family's assets are also high priority. I also want every staff member in our family's mansion taken to Rimecrest immediately.` I commanded.
`Yes father.`
`Thank you Thena...`
The communication ceased as my youngest daughter rushed into action. I walked back into the Shield control centre and exhaled in exhaustion.
"Everyone, I have discovered that Director Fury has been mind controlled."
The entire room went quiet as Maria Hill gasped in surprise, or pain, either one.
"W-will you let us live...?" One of the Shield agents asked desperately, her eyes wide in fear; she was obviously a technical support member not an agent.
"Of course. Anyone that didn't raise a weapon to me would have and will live." My words caused several exhales and sighs of relief, especially from agents who had dropped their firearms to the ground after I had dealt with Clint...
Clint... That made me wince. I had blinded him and pretty much fucked up his sight.
'Fuck it, the prick deserved it for putting up with Steve's bullshit so long.' I mentally spat before exhaling my frustrations and anger once again.
"Contact agent Coulson, he is to return to the Triskelion immediately and begin dismantling procedures. Shield and Hydra no longer exist ladies and gentlemen..." I paused as I watched them all slump to the floor or in their chairs in a mix of relief and panic. "If you wish to seek further employment, I will hire every single former agent or staff member."
Silence was predominant around the control room before Maria Hill started laughing in hysteria.
"Are you seriously offering us jobs after slaughtering half of us!?"
I shrugged.
"You tried to kill my son and his girlfriend... You shouldn't have poked the landslide zone."
"Isn't it supposed to be 'You shouldn't have poked the bear'?" One of the agents questioned softly in the background.
Waving my hands I responded to the query with, "Eh, that's a boring line. I prefer my version."
"What about the Hydra agents?" Maria asked in a choked voice, her right arm holding onto her ribs.
"Their being dealt with, don't worry..."
...
One kilometre underneath the Triskelion...
"No! HELP! HELP US!" Alexander Pierce cried out as the enclosed space he had been stuck in, with the majority of Hydra's leadership, filled with water... Their cries echoing off of the roof as the water ever so sluggishly crawled up the walls and down into their lungs.
Most of Hydra's leadership drowned as they clawed at one another for one more chance of catching their breath.
