Near dusk, the setting sun dyed the western sky red, the evening glow reflecting beautifully over Spirit City.
At the summit of the Pope's Mountain, Bibi Dong leaned gently against Xiao Se's chest, holding the blooming Acacia Heartbroken Red in her hand.
"Dong'er, did you remember everything I told you?"
Xiao Se slipped a storage ring onto the ring finger of her left hand, speaking softly.
"I'll wait for you. Always. Whether it takes ten years… twenty… thirty… three hundred… thirty thousand…"
Feeling Xiao Se's body growing increasingly faint and transparent, Bibi Dong's eyes shimmered with tears, her voice trembling.
Xiao Se nodded lightly and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.
In the last glow of the setting sun, his body dissolved into starlight—
and vanished beside her.
No one knew how much time passed.
When Xiao Se next opened his eyes, darkness surrounded him.
His five years of memories in the Douluo Continent were gone.
A sliver of moonlight shone through a window, illuminating an unfamiliar ceiling.
Just like when he first woke inside Bibi Dong's body, he hurried to check his physical condition.
"What the—?!"
He couldn't help cursing.
His body had shrunk.
His bird was gone.
He had become… a little loli.
Just as he was about to explode in disbelief, soft footsteps approached.
A small figure quietly crept into the room under the cover of night.
—End of Flashback Arc (to be continued)
Back to the Main Storyline
Douluo Continent – Sunset Forest
Xiao Se and Bibi Dong walked hand-in-hand through a lush valley.
Since the moment they reunited and clasped hands, they had spoken only a single sentence—
yet had naturally fallen into step beside each other, as if nothing had ever separated them.
Seeing the valley overflowing with thriving immortal herbs—many originating from the Douqi Continent—Xiao Se couldn't help asking:
"Did you grow all of these?"
"Mhm."
Bibi Dong nodded, lifting her free hand. A pale green jade bottle appeared in her palm.
"This is the Heaven-Holding Vase you left inside the storage ring. I used it exactly as you instructed. The immortal herbs you nearly uprooted back then would normally take tens of thousands of years to fully regrow. But with the green liquid from the Vase to accelerate growth, excluding the special Acacia Heartbroken Red, I can harvest them once every ten years."
"I've harvested twice so far. This is the third."
She continued gently:
"During the first harvest, I brought Xue'er here. She has enough talent but lacked foundation, so I used the Eight-Petal Ice Grass and Fiery Apricot to refine her body, then gave her Octagonal Ice Jade Essence to strengthen her spirit. This allowed her to absorb spirit rings beyond normal limits."
"The second harvest was for my later disciple, Na'er. Without a suitable cultivation technique for her, I had her practice the Mysterious Heaven Technique. I gave her the same immortal herbs as Xue'er. As for the remaining immortal-grade herbs, I preserved them in this special pouch that can store living plants."
She took out another white storage pouch that differed from the Ruyi Hundred Treasures Pouch and handed both it and the Heaven-Holding Vase to Xiao Se.
Receiving them, Xiao Se nearly choked.
These herbs were like giant piles of priceless treasure.
And then—
"Over these thirty-plus years, I used the non-immortal herbs to raise more than ten new Titled Douluo for Spirit Hall. The Hall now rests completely in my grasp. I hold command over more than thirty Titled Douluo."
She smiled lightly.
"Out of respect for how well he treated Xue'er, I spared Qian Daoliu. I left him in charge of the Douluo Palace and the Worship Hall."
Xiao Se's mouth twitched violently.
With this level of foundation…
she could unify the entire Douluo Continent at any moment.
As if sensing Xiao Se's thoughts, Bibi Dong covered her lips and laughed softly:
"Are you wondering why, with all this power, I did not unify the continent—
and instead chose to hide everything?"
"Mm."
Xiao Se nodded.
"So you can arrive in this world without worry," she answered gently. "Compared to conquering the continent, your feelings matter more to me."
Her perfect smile made Xiao Se's heart clench.
He had only a faint soul-deep resonance and fragmented emotions toward her—
the remnants of what he had forgotten.
The rest was simply what he knew of her from his previous life's memories.
"Brother… you and her…"
Sensing Xiao Se's emotional fluctuation, Long Kui's soft voice echoed inside his heart.
To her, this beautiful unknown woman was merely someone harmless toward Xiao Se.
But from Bibi Dong's words—and Xiao Se's reactions—Long Kui could tell the two had shared something extraordinary.
Something he had forgotten.
Just as Xiao Se prepared to respond, Bibi Dong suddenly spoke:
"Is that Little Sister Long Kui speaking?"
Xiao Se and Long Kui froze.
Under their stunned gazes, Long Kui floated out from the sword mark on Xiao Se's body.
"You… can actually sense me?"
Bibi Dong smiled.
"Of course. I've cultivated Returning Soul Scripture for more than thirty years. As my soul power grew, so did my spiritual strength. According to the rankings Xiao Se told me long ago, my soul realm should be around Spirit Realm – Great Perfection."
"Spirit Realm Great Perfection!? And you practiced the Returning Soul Scripture!?"
Xiao Se and Long Kui were both startled.
No wonder she detected Long Kui effortlessly.
It fit Xiao Se's nature—he would never hide anything from someone he cherished.
Long Kui tilted her head.
"Then… how exactly did you two meet? Thirty years ago, Brother wasn't even born yet! It wasn't a past life either—he didn't even have the soul cultivation method back then."
Xiao Se chuckled.
"Do you remember that time I got drunk half a month ago?"
"Mhm! Brother, you slept for seven full days! I was scared to death!"
Long Kui puffed out her cheeks.
"That wasn't normal alcohol," Xiao Se said, shaking his head. "It was a divine item called Kuchiyake Sake."
He looked at Bibi Dong.
"Dong'er… may I still call you that?"
Bibi Dong nodded quietly.
"You always did. You may continue to do so."
A thin mist glazed her eyes again.
Only he had ever called her that—
and only he was qualified to.
