The landing point was still fairly soft. Turning back into "Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle," Youmi pressed a hand against her lower back.
"Wow, I thought I'd be tumbling head over heels. When did this Duel Arena get so considerate and add a cushion?"
Although she had associated it with a certain possibility, Youmi still spoke in a flat tone, true to her nature of taking pleasure in acting oblivious.
"Um... Youmi, could you get off me first before we talk about the cushion... You're really heavy..."
Yugi's soft, childlike voice came from beneath Youmi. Though it naturally brought out the urge to tease him, right now it only left Youmi with a face full of dark lines.
She didn't actually think of herself as a woman, but talking casually about a girl's weight is the kind of thing that will make you lose your chance at getting a girlfriend, Yugi.
Matching the mood, Youmi moved off Yugi and looked at the classic skin she had been wearing, remarking, "Since you lent me the Time Thief Deck to get back, don't take it back so fast... Whatever, it's fine. You okay, Yugi?"
Yugi got up from the ground. He hadn't actually been crushed by Youmi falling freely from the sky; maybe after being blasted away by monster attacks so many times, he'd built up resistance.
"Ah, I'm fine. Anyway, Youmi, just now, it looked like a red dragon picked you up, and then you suddenly fell from the sky. What exactly happened?"
Compared to his minor injuries, Yugi cared far more about what had just happened to Youmi. "Miss Iblee said 'oh no' and opened a door before disappearing. I thought she was going to look for you. Also, your clothes..."
"Eh? She went looking for me?" Youmi raised her hand to her open mouth in surprise.
Abruptly, then, only she heard a voice—and a weight lifted from her heart.
"It's fine. Someone's in charge of sending them back, don't worry."
From Ten Thousand Dragon, she learned that the Mekk-Knight Avramax, who had been kicked out of the World Legacy world by Girsu, the Orcust Mekk-Knight, after he freaked out from finding his sister missing, had already caught Iblee and Ib.
Youmi nodded in relief. "She wasn't looking for me; she just sneaked out to play, got caught by her family, and ran away. She's probably on the way back now."
"As for earlier, I just met some new friends on the way and saved the world a little. Nothing major, something you can't get involved with yet—but you'll understand someday."
Thinking of Yugi's second question, Youmi nodded slightly. "As for these clothes... Forget it, I won't change. It's about time you all learned. If it's you, Yugi, you should know that within cards, there are 'spirits,' right? Like your Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, and Kuriboh."
Saying this, Youmi took out the card of Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle, and the spirit of the Lovely Labrynth jumped out of the card."
Youmi held her hand and said, "She's the first partner I met here—Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle. And I, at least in terms of existence, am almost the same as she is. If I put it this way, I hope you can understand~"
"If you want to talk differences, maybe the next time you see me, I won't be Lovely Labrynth anymore.
"In any case, that's a story for another time."
Returning Lovely Labrynth to the card, Youmi produced an ornate silver Duel Disk and slid in her deck prepared for this final match. "As duelists, this is what's most important right now. And honestly... I'm really short on time."
Glitches flickered across the fingers of Youmi's right hand. Although she had traded with Ten Thousand Dragon in Noah's fortress for the chance to turn Noah into a card spirit and bring him into the real world, the distortion she caused to the timeline had to be paid for by her alone.
Perhaps after this duel ended, she would be forced into another era before returning to this world.
So now, before being completely expelled, she only wanted to enjoy this duel.
"We already agreed, didn't we? To duel in Duel City. Let's fulfill that promise now."
The Millennium Puzzle on Yugi Muto's chest glowed, switching him into Yami Yugi.
"Yes! I'll now fulfill my promise from before. Let the two of us have the most spectacular duel!"
"DUEL!" ×2
Turn 1
"I'll take the first turn, Youmi. If I don't, I might get OTK'd immediately." Using speed to seize the first turn, Yami Yugi reviewed his six-card hand and looked at Youmi. "And I want to fully show the deck Yugi and I specially prepared to duel you."
"I'll start with this card. I Normal Summon 'Magician's Rod.' When this card is successfully Summoned, its effect activates: I add one Spell or Trap that lists 'Dark Magician' in its text from my Deck to my hand. I add 'Dark Magical Circle' to my hand, then activate it immediately. I check the top three cards of my Deck and add one Spell, Trap, or a 'Dark Magician' among them to my hand."
After shuffling, Yami Yugi activated Dark Magical Circle and inspected the top three cards.
"I add 'Secrets of Dark Magic' to my hand and activate it. I fuse the Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl in my hand to Fusion Summon 'The Dark Magicians.'"
"Heh, a combo of Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl, huh? If I remember correctly..." Seeing Yugi use a newer Fusion Monster, Youmi didn't really mind—as long as he didn't bring out something like Red-Eyes Dragoon, she could accept it. "Not bad, Yugi."
Receiving Youmi's praise, Yami Yugi nodded and swept his right hand across the Duel Disk, setting three cards. "I Set three cards. My turn ends. It's your turn, Youmi."
For some reason, Youmi felt that Yami Yugi's eyes were shining.
Turn 2
"Doesn't feel great... My turn."
Youmi drew one card from her Deck and immediately slapped it onto the field.
"I activate 'Graceful Charity.' I draw three cards and discard two."
If Youmi's expectations were correct, Yami Yugi would now use the effect of The Dark Magicians.
"The effect of 'The Dark Magicians' activates—once per turn, when a Spell or Trap Card is activated, I draw one card. If it's a Spell or Trap, I can Set it on my field, and if it's a Quick-Play Spell or Trap, I can activate it this turn. That said, since Dark Magical Circle already revealed the top card..."
Yami Yugi drew from the top of his Deck and revealed it to Youmi.
"Continuous Trap—Royal Decree."
