Youmi raised an eyebrow.
Because the movie was originally pure fanservice, it contained quite a few strange and delicate settings.
Now it seemed clear: the Paradox standing before them must have connections to the future Duelists who could actually assist him.
"Relax… you'll find out soon enough, assuming you all possess some sort of special power."
A white light slowly enveloped the area. At the same time, Youmi's glove, Yusei's Signer mark, Jaden's heterochromatic eyes, and Yugi's Millennium Puzzle all shone simultaneously, forming something like a protective barrier.
"Paradox, don't tell me…"
Connecting it to a certain organization from 5D's, Youmi had a pretty good idea what Paradox had done.
"I simply had my comrades slightly alter the flow of history. Just like I once stole Stardust Dragon from Yusei, my Extra Deck now contains a powerful Xyz Monster obtained from another timeline's you."
A few cards popped up from Paradox's Extra Deck slot; he took them out—black-carded Xyz Monsters. "We're already in a state of absolute contradiction. What's a little more contradiction? I set one card and end my turn."
Turn 5
"Leave this turn to me! Facing a Duelist from the future—this is way too exciting~" Jaden volunteered eagerly. After drawing a card, he declared, "Since you used Pot of Greed earlier, let me take advantage of that too! I discard a Spell from my hand to activate Double Summon, copying the effect of the Pot of Greed in your Graveyard to draw two cards from my Deck."
With two fresh cards in hand, Jaden grinned and activated another Spell: "I activate Convert Contact! I send Neo-Spacian Glow Moss from my hand and Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin from my Deck to the Graveyard to draw two cards. If you hadn't cleared Youmi's monsters, I wouldn't have been able to use this. Then—"
Jaden selected a card from his starting hand and placed it in his Spell/Trap Zone.
"I activate Contact Gate! I banish two different Neo-Spacians from my Graveyard to Special Summon two Neo-Spacians from my Deck, hand, or Graveyard. I Special Summon Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab and Neo-Spacian Grand Mole. Then I use Space Gift—because I have Flare Scarab and Grand Mole on the field, I draw two cards from my Deck."
Youmi couldn't help thinking that Jaden was drawing cards so fast it felt like he was playing Duel Links.
"Alright, here it comes! I Normal Summon Elemental HERO Blazeman and use its effect to add Polymerization from my Deck to my hand. Then I activate Polymerization! I fuse Elemental HERO Blazeman with Elemental HERO Neos! Appear—Elemental HERO Nova Master!"
A HERO clad in red-gold armor, master of flames, appeared before Jaden. Even without an aggressive stance, scorching heat radiated from his body.
"What do you think, Youmi? This is a new HERO I gained on my journey~ Ah, but you're still at the Duel City timeline, huh—sorry, sorry, that must've sounded weird." Jaden was excitedly showing off his HERO, then scratched his head awkwardly when he remembered that this Youmi had not met him yet. "Next, I activate O - Oversoul to Special Summon Elemental HERO Neos from my Graveyard. Time to go! Flare Scarab! Grand Mole! Neos! Triple Contact Fusion—Elemental HERO Magma Neos!"
The three warriors of the newborn cosmos fused together, becoming a warrior reminiscent of Getter-1, glowing with orange-red energy thanks to its special ability.
"A Contact Fusion that returns materials to the Deck instead of using Polymerization? That summoning method is recorded in our data as well. If Contact Fusion could be spread to the future, so Duelists wouldn't rely solely on Synchro Summoning… perhaps the future could also—"
"Paradox…"
"Magma Neos's Attack increases by 400 for each card on the field. There are five monsters, two Set cards, and Malefic World—so it gains 3200, reaching 6200 Attack! Battle Phase! Magma Neos attacks White Aura Bihamut—Super Incandescent Meteor!"

"Nova Master attacks the Defense Position Malefic Red-Eyes Black Dragon—Nova Burst!"
With its 2600 Attack, Nova Master easily destroyed the Malefic monster with only 2000 Defense, and its effect activated.
"Nova Master's effect! When this card destroys a monster by battle, I draw one card."
As Jaden drew, Paradox flipped a Set card: "I activate Malefic Tune! When a face-up Malefic monster I control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's effect, I draw two cards."
"Shame there's still a Token left. I Set three cards and end my turn~
"Normally, Contact Fusions return to the Extra Deck during the End Phase, but I use Forbidden Chalice to negate Magma Neos's effect, so he stays! Your move~"
Turn 6
"As expected of the Duel King who has saved the world multiple times. Even I'm beginning to regret my earlier arrogance… but I won't regret this Duel. Battling you will strengthen my resolve to save my own world.
"My turn. I reveal three copies of Malefic Rainbow Dragon—pick one as you like."
Paradox, adding Malefic Rainbow Dragon to his hand, confused Jaden.
"But Rainbow Dragon was created by President Pegasus based on the ancient tablet…"
Paradox shrugged casually: "The one and only copy in the world, right? I told you, my Deck transcends dimensions. Mass-producing stolen monsters isn't strange at all; otherwise, how would I reach 40 cards?
"So I send my second Rainbow Dragon to the Graveyard and Special Summon Malefic Rainbow Dragon from my hand. And because there are at least six different Monster Attributes in both Graveyards combined, I Special Summon Elemental Grace Doriado from my hand. Its Attack increases by 500 for each Attribute—so it reaches 3000."
Abruptly, after explaining, an insidious grin spread across his face: "Then I activate Change of Heart to take control of your Magma Neos!"
"Paradox, you…!"
"I switch my Divine Dragon to Attack Position. Battle Phase! Magma Neos attacks Elemental HERO Nova Master—Super Incandescent Meteor!"
Watching one of his own HEROes attacking under enemy control reminded Jaden of the time he got hit with Magic Cylinder in his Duel against Yugi. "Magma Neos! A HERO shouldn't betray his friends! I activate the Set card—HERO Barrier! I negate the attack!"
"Then I attack Nova Master with my Divine Dragon—Twin Ripple!"
[Youmi's team, LP: 3700 → 3000]
"Elemental Grace Doriado attacks you directly!"
"I activate the Set card—Flute of Summoning Kuriboh! I Special Summon Winged Kuriboh in Defense Position!"
Winged Kuriboh blocked Elemental Grace Doriados' attack, and all battle damage the group would take this turn became 0.
"Tch. So it would've been better if I had gone into Xyz Summoning earlier? Main Phase 2. I Overlay Divine Dragon and Malefic Rainbow Dragon to Xyz Summ—" The Overlay Network formed, but the moment the two monsters entered it, the summoning collapsed and exploded, leaving Paradox covered in soot. "What in the world?!"
"You're just mimicking without reading the rules…" Youmi covered his face with his left hand. "Uh… Tokens can't be used for Xyz Summons."
Wiping off the charred dust from his face, the Overlay Network formed again. This time, Paradox's Xyz Summon succeeded: "I see. Then I Overlay Elemental Grace Doriado and Magma Neos to Xyz Summon—True King of All Calamities!"
Seeing the unexpected arrival of TKC, Youmi swallowed hard. "Dude… of all things, why did you steal that?!"
