"Even if this poison fries my brain, it's none of your business!" Yun Wu shouted at Xu Mu. "Get out of here!"
"Alright, then. Goodbye, and good luck."
Xu Mu turned and walked away.
Yun Wu finally let out a breath of relief — but the drug's lingering effect made it impossible to think straight.
Her mind felt like it was on fire as her body twisted and trembled uncontrollably on the ground.
Eventually, she went limp, half-conscious, her body spasming every few seconds.
And then — Xu Mu's figure appeared once again.
He had decided, after all, to "do a good deed."
Xu Mu drove his Lamborghini back to Jiang City.
When he reached his villa safely, he sank into the couch, still puzzled.
She really didn't have any?
Maybe… to reduce friction?
He shook his head, then went to wash his hands in the bathroom.
Lying back on the sofa, he closed his eyes for a nap — unsure if what he had done was right or wrong.
The ringing of his phone snapped him back. Glancing at the screen, he saw the caller: Feng Yue.
He answered, "What is it?"
"Young Master Xu, I'm outside your villa complex. When will you be home?"
Her voice came softly through the line.
"I'm already home. What do you need me for?" he asked with a frown.
"It's something urgent. And come to think of it, I've never actually been a guest at your house."
Xu Mu sighed. "Fine. I'll meet you at the gate."
He waited a few minutes before Feng Yue arrived on foot.
Today, she wore a long black dress, her hair tied casually into a ponytail. Those enchanting peach-blossom eyes of hers could stir anyone's heart even from afar.
"Young Master Xu."
She smiled charmingly as she approached.
"By right, you should be dealing with the Feng family right now," Xu Mu said as he opened the door and motioned for her to come in.
"I knew it — Chen Cai wouldn't have come to me for no reason. It had to be at your suggestion."
Feng Yue followed him inside the villa.
"Sit down. What did you want to talk about?"
Xu Mu crossed his legs on the couch.
Feng Yue lightly lifted her skirt and sat beside him. "I came because I've finished handling the Feng family matter."
"Finished? What do you mean?" Xu Mu frowned.
"I only gave Chen Cai one piece of advice — to break up the Feng Group and shut down every illegal subsidiary."
She looked at Xu Mu. "Chen Cai also agreed to split the remaining companies with me fifty-fifty."
"Impressive. That's quite a fortune you've built overnight," Xu Mu said with a faint grin.

"It's all because of you, Young Master Xu. Everything I have now is thanks to you."
Her eyes sparkled as she gazed at him.
She still felt like she was dreaming — everything that had happened felt unreal.
For years, she had lived in the shadows, waiting for her chance at revenge against the Feng family.
She'd long given up on her youth, planning instead to use her looks and body to climb her way to power — giving herself ten years to succeed.
But after meeting Xu Mu, it had taken less than a month to fulfill the dream she had chased her entire life.
"With that new capital, expand the line of pills I gave you," Xu Mu said. "Make it big."
"Yes, President Xu," Feng Yue nodded, then leaned closer. "Now that the Feng family's been dealt with, shouldn't we celebrate?"
Xu Mu glanced at her, shaking his head slightly. "My wife's getting off work soon."
"Oh? So you mean… celebrate outside then?" she teased, eyes gleaming.
Xu Mu gave her a firm look. "What's going on in that head of yours all day?"
"You see through me so easily," she said with a wry smile. "I'm just someone who believes in repaying kindness."
Her tone dimmed. "But I'm useless. Apart from this, I can't think of any other way to repay you."
Xu Mu sighed. There was something pitiful about her.
He put an arm around her shoulders, letting her rest her head against him.
"Even the smallest thing done for me counts as repayment," he said softly. "I admire your capability, not your looks. Say you're worthless again, and I'll have to punish you."

Feng Yue's eyes reddened, her nose stinging.
Behind her seductive mask was a fragile, insecure woman.
Since childhood she'd lacked any sense of safety — hiding her true self behind charm and allure.
Even before today, she had never taken that mask off.
But Xu Mu's words struck a chord deep inside.
She had never cared about lofty dreams. Everything she'd done in life had been for revenge against the Feng family.
Now that the Fengs were gone, she had lost her purpose.
But after hearing Xu Mu's words, she found a new one — to devote the rest of her life to repaying him.
If not for Xu Mu, she'd still be surrounded by the people she despised.
Now she stood beside someone she actually admired.
She considered herself lucky enough.
Leaning close to his ear, she whispered, "Young Master Xu, I've acquired several new companies. I'd like you to audit them for me."
Just then, Xu Mu's phone rang again. He glanced at it — Dai Xingluo.
He walked toward the window while answering.
Behind him, Feng Yue — eyes slightly dazed but cheeks flushed — slowly regained her composure.
So the tricks she'd learned from movies were useless after all.
And she'd actually thought she could handle Xu Mu. How naive.
"Brother, are you home?" Dai Xingluo's bright voice came from the phone.
"I am. What's wrong?"
"You promised to refine a pill for me, remember? I brought the heavenly treasure with me — I'm on my way now!"
Xu Mu smiled faintly. "Alright. I'll be waiting."
He hung up the call.
Feng Yue, tidying the sofa, looked over and smiled. "Is Madam Xu back?"
"No. Someone else."
"Another woman, then?"
Feng Yue sighed softly. "Ah, I'd better leave before I cause trouble. Wouldn't want her to see me here."
Xu Mu blinked — that tone sounded familiar.
Wasn't that exactly the kind of "green-tea" talk Dai Xingluo liked to use?
"Ahem… actually, you don't have to go."
He felt a little awkward. He'd just finished one "lesson in biology," and now another woman was coming over.
"If you say so, I'll stay then."
She covered her mouth and chuckled. "Relax, I'm just teasing you. I won't compete for your favor. I'll just stay in a quiet corner — as long as you look at me once in a while, I'm satisfied."
"Then don't leave. You're making me feel guilty now," Xu Mu said.
"Don't be. That's just who I am."
Feng Yue smiled and walked toward the door.
Xu Mu followed her outside — and as they stepped into the courtyard, Dai Xingluo had already arrived.
