When Xu Mu used the Divine Eye to examine the young man before him, he silently nodded. As expected — his guess was right.
Another male protagonist had appeared.
Name: Chen Xuan
Character: Male lead of "The Master Descends the Mountain, My Seven Senior Sisters Are Peerless Beauties"
Fate Power: 2110
Fate Level: 21 (Max level: 10)
Xu Mu's heart trembled slightly. So this man had finally shown up.
Until now, he had only encountered a few of the women around this protagonist.
For instance — three of Chen Xuan's "heroines" he had already met.
The first was Jiang Huihui, the janitor.
The second, Nangong Yao, the young lady of the Nangong family.
The third was Xia Sihan, the daughter of the Demon Sword Sect's master — and the woman Xu Mu had "fulfilled his dream" with using both hands.
He had to admit, Chen Xuan's harem was top-tier.
All of them were tied to the Ancient Martial World in one way or another.
Nangong Yao, for example, was a hidden-clan princess. Though still young now, her future as an ancient martial artist was almost guaranteed.
"Level 21 Fate… I thought he'd be about the same as the Dragon King. Didn't expect him to still be nine levels higher," Xu Mu muttered softly.
But of course, Fate Level wasn't fixed — it could still rise.
He recalled how back at the Feng family, Lin Yan's Fate Power had increased slightly after Xu Mu used the Divine Eye on him.
Xu Mu sat by the aisle; Chen Xuan was on the opposite side, just half a meter away.
He was used to this by now — these "main characters" were always destined to be his rivals.
A short-haired woman sitting beside Chen Xuan shifted away in distaste, clearly unwilling to be too close to him.
The woman looked about thirty, her lips pursed as she muttered,
"Plane tickets are just too cheap these days — any random person can fly now."
Hearing that, Xu Mu smiled faintly.
As expected, the protagonist was about to start showing off.
"Sis," Chen Xuan said casually as he placed his fertilizer sack onto the overhead compartment, "who exactly do you think shouldn't be allowed to fly?"
"I—"
The woman nearly blurted out people like you — migrant workers, but she held back.
There were too many people nearby, most on their phones. If someone recorded her, she'd get flamed online and probably lose her job.
"Do I smell bad or something?" Chen Xuan sniffed his arm and asked playfully.
"You reek of poverty," she snapped coldly, finally unable to stay quiet.
"Oh, that's fine," Chen Xuan said with a smile. "Better than your fishy odor down there. Cervical inflammation, maybe?"
He covered his nose. "Ugh, the smell's awful. I didn't even complain, and you're the one being picky."
"You—!"
The woman's eyes went wide. How could he possibly know about that?
"Do you really think perfume hides the stench? Regular people use master keys — you're a master lock, letting any key fit and turn," Chen Xuan said, smiling faintly as he sat back down.
"You bastard!" the woman shouted furiously.
"Don't get angry," Chen Xuan replied evenly. "You'll trigger the cancer if you do."
The woman froze. Could he actually be a doctor?
Xu Mu chuckled quietly but said nothing. To be fair, he had to admit the woman deserved it.
Still, it seemed this Chen Xuan really did know medicine — fitting for a protagonist from The Master Descends the Mountain.
The plane took off smoothly. Xu Mu reopened his phone, but with no internet, he idly played a single-player game.
Meanwhile, Chen Xuan kept calling the flight attendant over to refill his hot water — clearly more interested in flirting than hydrating.
An hour later, the plane landed safely in Jinling City.
Xu Mu hadn't spoken to Chen Xuan once. As long as the protagonist didn't provoke him, he wouldn't start trouble either.
He'd always been more of a passive player.
Outside the airport, Xu Mu called Qin Ju.
But the old man said he was still on his way home and had already sent someone to pick him up.
Xu Mu waited patiently until a black Audi A6 pulled up beside him.
The driver, a middle-aged man, smiled. "Mr. Xu Mu, correct?"
"That's me," Xu Mu nodded.
"Please, get in," the man said, hurrying to open the door for him.
As the car drove off, Xu Mu pondered what Qin Ju might want from him.
After about thirty minutes, they arrived at a large estate on the outskirts of the city.
Behind the estate loomed a mountain dotted with buildings — clearly inhabited.
The driver led him into the courtyard.
"Mr. Xu, our master will arrive shortly. Please wait here," he said, gesturing toward a stone bench on the lawn.
"Alright," Xu Mu replied, taking out his phone to pass the time.
Just then, a Bentley Flying Spur sped through the gate and stopped inside the estate.
A young woman in a floral dress stepped out angrily.
She looked around twenty, with delicate, doll-like features — her face was so small Xu Mu thought he could probably cover it with one hand.
Her black hair fell like a waterfall, and her eyes carried a trace of arrogance.
From her bearing alone, Xu Mu could tell she came from privilege — a spoiled, fiery young lady.
Beautiful face, but her figure was… disappointing.
Flat as a board.
Xu Mu quietly activated his Divine Eye.
Name: Qin Qiaoqiao
Character: Granddaughter of the Qin Family Patriarch, Inner Disciple of Heavenly Sword Sect, Female Lead of "The Master Descends the Mountain, My Seven Senior Sisters Are Peerless Beauties"
Favorability: -1
Fate Level: 9 (Max: 10)
Xu Mu was a little surprised.
He remembered Dai Xingluo was also a disciple of the Heavenly Sword Sect — though an outer disciple.
So this Qin Qiaoqiao was from the inner sect.
He wondered if the two women knew each other.
Qin Qiaoqiao marched straight up to him and pointed angrily. "Get out! The Qin family doesn't welcome you!"
Xu Mu blinked. "Miss, do I know you?"
"Who are you calling Miss? You're the Miss! Your whole family's the Miss! Get out now before I lose my temper!"
Her eyes blazed with fury.
Xu Mu frowned. He was invited here by Qin Ju, not to be insulted.
"You used to have two elder brothers, didn't you?" he asked suddenly.
"What do you mean used to?" Qin Qiaoqiao demanded coldly.
"I mean," Xu Mu said, glancing deliberately at her flat chest, "you're a pitiful one — your two 'big brothers' disappeared."
For a second, Qin Qiaoqiao didn't get it. But when she caught his gaze, her expression turned crimson with rage.
That bastard had just insulted her size!
[Favorability -20]
"You bastard! I'll kill you!"
Qin Qiaoqiao lunged at him—
"Miss! Stop! You've got the wrong person!"
At that moment, a middle-aged man in a security uniform came running from a distance.
