The third information conference is here!
After the preview was released on the Ninja Mobile Game, everyone was ready for it... though to be honest, there wasn't much to prepare. Just sit back and watch.
But among the audience, a few people weren't exactly in the best of moods.
Sasuke, Naruto...
The Hokage Rock had become Team 7's usual hangout spot, yet Sakura couldn't figure out why Naruto and Sasuke were both acting so off today.
Even Kakashi couldn't make sense of it. Sasuke was understandable — he had probably recognized that silhouette from the High-Class Recruitment teaser.
But Naruto? What was with him?
"Hello everyone, and welcome to this Ninja information conference! I'm your host, Kuroda!"
The opening line was the same as always, and the image projected onto the screen was crystal clear. Besides Kuroda, another figure immediately caught everyone's eye.
That black cloak with red clouds — the Akatsuki uniform.
And under his black hair, those blood-red eyes stared directly into the camera.
Yes — the sight alone left everyone in shock.
"Wait, is that... Uchiha Itachi?!"
"So that's it! Following Guy, the next High-Class Recruitment A-rank is Uchiha Itachi!"
"He's from Konoha too, right?"
"Hmph! That traitorous criminal is wanted — Konoha doesn't recognize him!"
"Uchiha Itachi!!!"
Sasuke...
Sakura looked at him worriedly. Ever since Itachi appeared on the screen, Sasuke had activated his Sharingan, glaring at the image without blinking.
"Stop staring. No matter how hard you glare, your eyes won't kill him." Naruto said calmly.
"What did you say?!" Sasuke exploded, grabbing Naruto by the collar — but then froze when he saw Naruto's eyes.
What kind of look was that? Like a calm lake — yet burning from within, filled with fierce determination and heat.
No, not just heat — it was boiling!
"Whatever you say, strength is the foundation. If you don't train, you'll fall behind, and you won't even realize how far others have surpassed you!" Naruto clenched his fist tightly.
Sasuke paused, then released him. He didn't quite understand what was going on with Naruto, but... the words themselves made sense.
Sakura, meanwhile, just stared blankly.
Why... why are there three of us, yet I can never understand what you two are talking about?
"Now, now, whatever it is, you can talk to your sensei — meaning me. But before that, let's watch the conference first," Kakashi said with his trademark lazy smile.
...
The camera returned to the main screen.
Itachi already had his phone in hand. As he entered the training field, Kuroda found the scene rather amusing.
Originally, the plan for these information conferences was to invite the featured High-Class Recruitment ninja as a guest. Kuroda had indeed sent Itachi an invitation.
He had been certain that Guy and Jiraiya would come. But Itachi? That was a wild card.
Unexpectedly, Itachi agreed without hesitation.
Kuroda didn't know what this man was planning, but he gladly accepted.
Now, the conference moved into the main section.
"Let's start by taking a look at the normal attacks."
Itachi's face was calm as he began to demonstrate.
The [Uchiha Itachi] standing in the practice field looked exactly like the real Itachi sitting on the sofa — and under his own control, the character began to move.
But that first basic attack... honestly looked kind of funny.
[Uchiha Itachi]'s arm didn't seem to extend properly — it stayed bent as he threw a short punch forward.
...
In the Akatsuki hideout, the group had gathered to watch together — a rare sight.
Deidara couldn't hold back his laughter.
"Puahahahaha! Seriously? That's it? I thought he'd be impressive, but even his basic attack looks so lame!"
"Hey, hey, are we really wasting our time watching this plain nonsense? We'd be better off waiting for my own ninja," Hidan shrugged.
"Underestimating Itachi-san will cost you dearly," Kisame said meaningfully.
"Hah! Like that puny punch could ever hit me! I'd stand right in front of him and let him try! Hmph!" Deidara scoffed.
The others had similar thoughts. The basic attack really was short, and the combo didn't look stable either.
The rest of the normal attack demo was about the same.
First hit — a punch.
Second hit — a kunai slash.
Third hit — a kick.
Fourth — another punch.
Fifth — Fireball Jutsu.
The first four were standard strikes, while the fifth sent enemies flying.
Itachi deliberately slowed down the combo. After the training dummy landed, he launched the fifth hit — the Fireball — and it hit as a sweeping knockdown.
Alright, that was a pretty thorough demonstration.
Still, people didn't see anything particularly flashy.
Maybe the Fireball being part of his normal attack string made it look a bit cooler?
"First skill — Amaterasu."
[Uchiha Itachi] released a massive surge of black flames forward, engulfing the opponent in an inferno midair.
Hmm? That duration...
Many viewers noticed — Amaterasu burned for quite a while. And there seemed to be an extra effect as well.
"Second skill — Exploding Clone."
[Uchiha Itachi] sent a fast-moving crow clone forward. When it hit an enemy, it caused a knockback and exploded.
If it didn't hit anyone, it would reach the end of its path, then slowly return.
Hmm... a standard opener skill.
"Ultimate — Tsukuyomi."
The entire screen turned black and red. [Uchiha Itachi] vanished, and a massive moon fell from the sky, continuously dealing heavy damage within the area.
After the ultimate ended, [Uchiha Itachi] reappeared and immediately followed up with his first skill — Amaterasu — grabbing the opponent.
"Ultimate that can combo into a skill? That's it?" Sasuke muttered. "Doesn't seem as flashy as Jiraiya's moves. Guess that's all this guy amounts to."
The rest of Team 7 turned toward him at once — their expressions said it all:
Sasuke, don't let personal feelings affect your ninja review!
Clearly, Sasuke could see how strong [Uchiha Itachi] was — he just refused to say it.
That's fine. No one else cared.
"The ultimate's damage is solid, and being able to chain into a skill right after — that's pretty strong," Kakashi noted.
"And did you notice?" Sakura added. "That exploding clone lasted long enough that by the time it disappeared, the cooldown was already back up!"
"No, even before it vanished, the cooldown was ready. If you time it perfectly, you could have two clones out at once," Naruto said.
They each chimed in, leaving Sasuke speechless.
Just thinking about it made it sound absurd — what would it even be like once released?
And Amaterasu? Tsukuyomi? Just how many abilities does that guy even have?!
Doesn't matter. He's not playing. And definitely not banning.
[Uchiha Itachi]'s showcase ended there — indeed shorter than [Jiraiya]'s session.
"Thank you. Before we wrap up, do you have any tips for players to get the most out of this ninja?" Kuroda asked.
"There are two playstyles," Itachi said, setting down his phone. "Burst damage — or delay tactics."
Short and simple, yet it captured the essence.
Kuroda nodded, impressed — while secretly marveling at how absurd this first version of [Uchiha Itachi] was.
Damn, the second skill has an 8-second cooldown, and the clone lasts 8 seconds? Who even thought that up?
It was obvious this ninja was about to dominate the entire Duel Arena — but Kuroda wasn't worried. No rush to nerf anything.
Whatever. Let's just release him first!
