"Update! The update's here!!"
The morning after the information conference, Ninja Mobile Game updated right on schedule at 8 a.m.
Countless players entered the game at the same time, yet the performance was smooth as silk—without even a hint of lag.
Of course, that was to be expected. This wasn't some small-time operation.
On the Hokage Rock, Team 7 gathered once again. This time, Team 3 was there as well.
"Oh~ Guy-sensei is already online!" The moment Lee entered the game, he saw that familiar man pop up.
The clean-cut hairstyle, the uniquely shaped eyebrows, the charming green jumpsuit, and that signature pose.
[Might Guy]Recruitment has begun!
After clicking in, they arrived at the recruitment screen—now showing an image of Might Guy.
Lee realized he needed Ninja World Summon Tickets to recruit a ninja... but his number of Ninja World Summon Tickets was… 0!
"If you don't have any tickets, you can only use Gold Coins!" Tenten was checking the price.
"Who cares! Let's just do a ten-pull first!" Naruto said decisively, spending Gold Coins to buy ten Ninja World Summon Tickets.
Hearing that, Sasuke immediately leaned over—but before he could say anything, Naruto had already tapped the summon button.
"Idiot!" Sasuke snapped.
"Why are you yelling at me all of a sudden, you bastard Sasuke!" Naruto yelled back, turning his head angrily, nearly starting a fight.
"Naruto, hurry, did you get him or not!" Lee was even more anxious than Naruto himself.
Under everyone's gaze, ten fragments appeared one after another on the screen.
They all fell silent.
"Why are they all me?!" Naruto shouted in dismay, staring at the bright, smiling faces of those [Uzumaki Naruto] fragments—it was almost painful to look at.
"Looks like the drop rate isn't high." Neji had already checked the recruitment rules. "A-rank ninjas need forty fragments to combine, so you'll probably need over a hundred draws for a chance."
"You could've said that earlier, ya know!" Naruto groaned, his face twisting in agony.
"And you forgot something else," Sasuke said coolly, his tone stabbing straight into Naruto's chest.
"Didn't you already win a full [Might Guy] card earlier?"
Naruto: ....
With trembling fingers, he opened his mail and saw exactly forty [Might Guy] fragments waiting there. His eyes rolled back and he collapsed to the floor.
"My… my Gold Coins!!!"
The sound was so tragic it could make listeners weep—it was as sharp and pained as a pig being slaughtered.
"Pathetic," Sasuke muttered, kicking Naruto aside as he used his own Gold Coins to do a ten-pull.
"Hm? Not bad, though a bit unlucky."
"Unlucky?!" Lee's eyes went wide and round. "You got eight fragments of Guy-sensei! How is that unlucky?!"
"What?" Sakura leaned in to check and indeed—eight fragments of [Might Guy]. She grinned happily. "As expected of Sasuke!"
"Hmph~ same as me." Neji gave a soft snort. His summon results popped up—two sets of fragments, also totaling eight pieces of [Might Guy].
Sasuke glanced sideways at Neji. Neji turned slightly to meet his eyes. Neither said a word.
Though they were a year apart in age, both had been top of their respective ninja school classes. They didn't say it aloud, but this time, at least, it was a draw.
Everyone else started pulling as well.
"Oh? Five fragments of Guy-sensei—not bad, right?" said Tenten.
"What are you talking about, that's way better than Naruto... huh? I got four." That was Sakura.
"Ahhh, Guy-sensei! Come on! Respond to my youthful spirit! Three sets—twelve fragments! Waaaaaah!!" That was Lee.
Every time someone spoke, Naruto's body twitched once on the ground.
Until finally, he stopped moving entirely.
Not far away, Kakashi and Guy stood side by side, watching their students bicker and laugh. They exchanged a knowing smile.
"This is nice. Seems I should thank you for bringing your Team 3 along," Kakashi said with a chuckle.
"Hahahaha! What's the big deal!" Guy waved his hand dismissively. "But more importantly, Kakashi, aren't you going to pull?"
"I wanted to test my luck too... but unfortunately, I no longer have the chance."
As Kakashi spoke, he held up his phone screen—turns out, he was already in the training camp, and his ninja was none other than [Might Guy].
Seeing that, Guy's eyes immediately filled with tears.
"Kakashi! As expected of my eternal rival! You're always one step ahead of me! This time... you win!"
Overcome with emotion, Guy also bought ten Ninja World Summon Tickets and started summoning.
But when the results appeared, his entire face went blank.
Curious, Kakashi leaned over—and couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Not a single fragment, huh... Guy, when it comes to luck, you're right up there with my students."
Being compared to Kakashi's students = being one generation below Kakashi = losing to Kakashi!
After doing the math in his head, Guy clenched his fists. "Kakashi! That means our lifetime record is now fifty wins and fifty-one losses!"
Wait, seriously?
Kakashi sighed. "Guy, when I get a High-Class Recruitment ninja in the future, how about I give you one?"
"What?!" Guy's face froze in shock.
"I mean, I only got lucky because Lee did the pulling for me, right? Next time, I'll let you draw one..."
"Kakashi!!!" Guy suddenly grabbed Kakashi in a tight embrace, tears streaming down his face. "You... you guy!!!"
Kakashi's face went completely dark—especially after he noticed his students giving them both odd looks.
"Let go! I'm taking that back!" Kakashi growled.
"Cough, cough, cough~" Guy quickly released him, pretending to be calm as he cleared his throat.
"No way, that's a symbol of our friendship!"
After that round of chaos, everyone decided to check out the other update contents.
As for more [Might Guy] pulls—no one was in a rush anymore.
After all, except for Naruto, everyone else had money to spare. Spending cash to get Gold Coins was no big deal.
"Everyone, listen up—there's a rebate event in High-Class Recruitment. If you do fifty pulls, you get bonus fragments," Tenten calculated. "If you wait a week, pulling later will be a total loss."
"There are also other ninjas available. Let's see..." Sakura flipped through the event list.
There were limited B-rank ninjas like [Haku], C-rank ninja [Konohamaru], B-rank [Uchiha Obito (Youth)], limited B-rank recruit [Kimimaro], and Sign-in C-rank ninja [Kankuro], among others.
"Eh? Kakashi-sensei, you've already started?"
Lee happened to glance over and saw Kakashi entering the Duel Arena while they were still checking the events.
"Mm, training mode can't compare to real combat," Kakashi said with a light smile.
"As expected of you, Kakashi! You truly have insight! I'll join too!" Guy said eagerly.
"Wait! Maybe it's better if we watch Kakashi-sensei play first?" Tenten suggested.
Everyone agreed. Guy let Kakashi sit down, and they all gathered around him.
Kakashi sighed helplessly but had no choice other than to refocus on his phone.
"What ninja are you using?"
"Of course, Guy! And I'll equip the Toad Summon and the Super Armor Secret Scroll!"
"No way, everyone in the Ninja World already knows your strategy by now!"
"Then... should we switch it up?"
"Nope! Trust me, Kakashi—do what I say!"
"Alright, alright."
Kakashi casually equipped those three items—it was just a test match, after all.
But when the battle loaded in, and he saw the opponent's nickname—his expression instantly grew serious.
"That is..."
