Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The First World Season

[Apprentice — 600 points]

[Genin — 900 points]

[Chunin — 1200 points]

[Jonin — 1500 points]

[ANBU — 1800 points]

[Kage — 2100 points]

[Super Kage — 2400 points]

These were the seven great ranks in the Ninja Mobile Game's ranked season. Each major rank was divided into three sub-ranks.

For example, [Kage I], [Kage II], [Kage III] — after that came Super Kage.

Super Kage had no such subdivisions, but it did have rank points. Once a player reached 2400 points, they entered the Super Kage tier — with no upper limit.

Different ranks also brought different rewards upon reaching them.

[Apprentice: 100 gold coins]

[Genin: 1000 gold coins]

[Chunin: 2000 gold coins]

[Jonin: 3000 gold coins]

[ANBU: 5000 gold coins, 10 Coupons]

[Kage: 10000 gold coins, 100 Coupons]

[Super Kage: 20000 gold coins, 200 Coupons]

These were one-time rewards granted immediately upon first reaching a rank each season — demotions didn't revoke them.

Gold coins could be bought with money, but Coupons were only obtainable through various in-game events.

That was Kuroda's deliberate design — to prevent pay-to-win players from running rampant.

You could spend money for gold, gaining a slight edge, sure — but Coupons could only be earned through skill. Their value far surpassed gold coins.

And the differences from the original Naruto Mobile Game didn't end there.

Apprentice was the lowest rank, so it couldn't drop a major tier. But starting from Genin, losing meant losing points — and if your points fell too low, you'd be demoted!

In other words, under normal circumstances, your rank reflected your actual strength.

If you weren't strong enough — you simply couldn't climb higher!

Each season now lasted two months. The first season began the moment the servers opened today.

Some things didn't need to be spelled out — players would naturally figure them out. For now, quite a few had already embarked on their ranked journeys.

After finishing dungeons, they needed something else to do — so many tried things like Secret Scrolls, squads, and so on.

Still, not many players paid much attention to combat power yet.

Even though it was only the first day, the enthusiasm was intense.

That was largely thanks to Kuroda's hype yesterday — after all, even the best wine can stay hidden in a deep alley.

Ninja Mobile Game was only the tip of the iceberg.

Many people were still confused, but the leaders of each ninja village had already ordered their shinobi to familiarize themselves with the game.

Who knew when it might happen again — like yesterday — that two people were randomly chosen for a PK battle in front of everyone?

If their strength wasn't enough, they could only watch helplessly as the other took the reward.

As for the ninja roster, besides Konoha's ten rookies, there were the privilege characters Neji, Gaara, and Kakashi, plus Rock Lee as the first-recharge bonus.

But that was only the first day. Tomorrow, Kuroda planned to release a batch of new ninjas.

All one could say was—stay tuned!

...

"Stay tuned, huh."

In a dim laboratory deep within Otogakure, Orochimaru held his phone, the corners of his mouth curling in amused curiosity.

He found this phone's existence fascinating — though he couldn't dissect or destroy it.

That only piqued his interest further.

They said the unknown breeds fear, but for Orochimaru, the unknown represented infinite possibilities.

After clearing Chapter One of the story mode, Orochimaru had come to understand this generation's Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.

That was when he realized — the story followed Naruto's perspective not just because Naruto won yesterday's PK match.

Although... many still believed that was the only reason.

From the game's icon alone — featuring Naruto — it was obvious there was a deeper causality behind it.

Orochimaru's curiosity toward that blond boy had been stirred — and naturally, the other who interested him was Sasuke.

However, he was now hesitating... whether or not to continue with his original plan — the Konoha Crush.

At that moment, a figure entered the room.

"Orochimaru-sama, the phones have all been distributed. Every shinobi in Otogakure has completed registration."

"Hmm. Have them join ranked matches. Tell them — the higher their rank, the greater the power I'll grant them."

"Yes!"

"No need to rush. More importantly — how's your body, Kimimaro?"

"...Thank you for your concern, Orochimaru-sama."

Looking at Kimimaro's pale but earnest face, Orochimaru smiled faintly — though there was a trace of regret in that smile.

Such a fine specimen... what a pity.

After dismissing Kimimaro, Orochimaru returned to studying Ninja Mobile Game.

Unlike others, he was dissecting the game itself — learning its every detail.

But at the moment, there weren't many events available. All he could do was explore the basic features.

After browsing through the ninjas, Secret Scrolls, and Summons, he finally tapped on the Duel Arena.

He ignored the matchmaking mode entirely and went straight into Ranked Battle.

Ranked mode had daily missions and weekly win rewards — giving small amounts of gold.

What surprised Orochimaru most, though, was the huge gap between rank rewards.

Those were the rank-up rewards — but the end-of-season rewards, given every two months, were far more generous.

[Apprentice: 1000 gold coins, 10 Coupons]

[Genin: 10000 gold coins, 50 Coupons]

[Chunin: 20000 gold coins, 100 Coupons]

[Jonin: 30000 gold coins, 300 Coupons]

[ANBU: 50000 gold coins, 500 Coupons]

[Kage: 100000 gold coins, 1000 Coupons]

[Super Kage: 200000 gold coins, 2000 Coupons]

If, at the end of the season, your final rank was Super Kage and your score exceeded 2400 points, the rewards scaled even further:

[Super Kage 2500 points: +100 Coupons]

[Super Kage 2600 points: +200 Coupons]

[Super Kage 2700 points: +400 Coupons]

[Super Kage 2800 points: +800 Coupons]

[Super Kage 2900 points: +1600 Coupons]

[Super Kage 3000 points: +3200 Coupons]

Even Orochimaru was stunned. He still didn't know exactly what gold or Coupons were used for — but this reward curve was... impressive.

And there was more.

Regardless of rank points, the top 100 players on each server at season's end would receive exclusive ranking rewards.

[Top 100: Super Kage privilege service]

[Top 50: Exclusive Summon — Panda]

[Top 20: Universal Ninja Fragment x30]

[Top 10: Random Legendary Ninja Tool: "Ultimate"]

[Top 3: Tournament Priority Selection (Tier 3)]

[Top 2: Tournament Priority Selection (Tier 2)]

[Top 1: Tournament Guaranteed Winner's Bracket Entry]

From today's server launch, the first season would last two months before ranking settlement.

No one could predict what might happen in that time — but one thing was clear to everyone.

The first season —

Had officially begun!!!
