The next day, Nobaru was talking to her students when Yagato appeared, seemingly out of nowhere.
"Let's go on a husband and wife trip!" he announced with a wide grin.
Nobaru didn't say a word; she simply landed a direct punch to Yagato's face.
"Ouch... that one hurt," he complained, massaging his face. "But first, a new student. Come on in!"
A shy-looking young man approached.
"Hi, it's a pleasure to meet you all," he said.
"This is Ville," Yagato introduced.
Suddenly, Ville's personality shifted. With a different glint in his eyes and a flamboyant manner, he quickly approached Fukuoka.
"It's a pleasure, sir... Can we travel side by side? If you want, forever!" Ville suggested, leaning close to Fukuoka's face.
Fukuoka took a massive leap backward and let out a panicked scream:
"NOOOOOOOOOO!"
"Oh, I forgot to mention: Ville has two different personalities," Yagato explained, amused by the scene.
"And which personality is this?" Zaren asked suspiciously.
"The 'Sober Gay,' I think. His personalities are quite random; I hope you'll be understanding."
"Yes, he's right," Ville said, returning to a softer tone. "I'm very sick, so you have to treat me well, okay?"
"Yes," Yagato replied promptly.
"Then I'm going to stay hugged with Sensei Yagato!" Ville threw himself into a hug.
"Get away from me!" Yagato pushed him off, his face still red from Nobaru's punch.
"I'll never try to get close to him again," Ville murmured, offended.
"Sensei, didn't you say to be understanding with him?" Yoshi questioned.
"You guys, not me!" Yagato retorted.
"Anyway, where are we traveling to?"
"We're going to New York!" Nobaru announced.
Ville's eyes began to shine with a light of pure admiration.
"New York! Where it's full of beautiful, blond, blue-eyed men who look like angels! Let's go, girls! Let's slay and find ourselves a man!" Ville shouted excitedly.
Suddenly, his expression soured, and his original personality regained control.
"What the hell was that gay guy doing with my body? You despicable trash!" Ville grumbled to himself.
Everyone began packing their bags. In his internal confusion, Ville placed contradictory items in his luggage: a Bible, colorful underwear, condoms, and a metal cross.
Nobaru opened her dimension for departure. Before entering, Ville approached Fukuoka again.
"My dear Fukuoka, take this pair of underwear for yourself. I can see yours are running out." Ville tossed a garment.
Fukuoka caught it, surprised.
"Thanks, Ville. You're actually kind of nice, not just a crazy psychopath."
"You're the psychopath, just you wait..." Ville's dark personality thought.
"I really needed this," Fukuoka continued, analyzing the gift. "But wait... I don't think this underwear is any good. It's too torn and... way too colorful?"
"That underwear is for gay guys," Nobaru noted emotionlessly.
In shock, Fukuoka hurled the garment away, and it landed right on Nanai's face.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" Nanai screamed, furious.
Welcome to New York
As they stepped out of the dimension, the cold hit them. Ville began to sing loudly, ignoring the stares:
"In New York!"
The streets were covered in snow, illuminated by bright Christmas lights. As they walked, Nobaru's expression turned serious as she explained the situation.
"We came here for a Special Level mission. I want you to learn in practice what true power is. What we know about the target is that she is a woman: the Emotion Controller. Her Osmo is capable of manipulating anyone who directs an emotion toward her. More than 26,000 people have already disappeared in New York, and everything indicates she is responsible."
Nobaru stopped and looked at each of the students with visible concern.
"If you find her, do not fight. Run as fast as you can."
