'What is she doing here?'
Axel kept his eye on Luz as she and the rest of the students walked by, luckily the full-face mask the scouts were wearing made it difficult to tell where Axel was looking.
'I thought she was doing jobs for the Owl Lady?'
Luz and the students continued to walk forward, led by Kikimora. As soon as they were out of sight, every scout put their hand back down and took a breath in. Except for one scout.
'What is she doing here? She wouldn't join a magic school, no wait, she totally would'
"Dude," the scout next to Axel whispered while elbowing him, "Kikimora's gone, you can put your hand down," the scout said.
"Oh, right," Axel replied while putting his hand down.
'I have to see what's up'
The part of the act Axel had to do for Hexside was over, meaning he could roam around the castle as he wished. He could go anywhere, except for near the students.
Unfortunately, going to see what the students were doing was exactly what Axel planned on doing.

Axel made his way around the castle attempting going to the one of the last stops for the group, he hoped that he could have a conversation with his friend and try and either snap her out of the Owl Lady's brainwashing or just talk to Luz about what she was doing.
He had to be careful to go around the group of students so that he wouldn't be spotted and lambasted for messing up the tour.
Part of his path was near the door to the Emperor's throne. As Axel walked by the large door, he heard someone approaching.
Turning on his heal quickly to face whoever was walking near, Axel saw Lilith walking to the door.
Her hair was covered in leaves and twigs, and her back was slightly hunched.
'Don't need to be a psychologist to see she's not having a good day'
Lilith simply walked by Axel, paying him no mind, but as she did Axel noticed someone behind Lilith near one of the staircases.
Axel would ask who was there, if he wasn't right next to the Emperor's throne room.
'Probably a scout just looking around'
With a shake of his head, Axel ran down the nearby stairs to both the last location the tour and a location very close to the beginning of the castle.
"And here is our last stop for this tour," Kikimora said holding a hand out, "Here you can see paintings depicting the Emperor gifting structed magic to the chaotic wild witches," she said showing off several paintings.
But as Axel looked for Luz, he couldn't see her. She wasn't hidden in anyway; she was just gone.
Axel found this odd, but before he could even think about anything, she suddenly appeared along with two other witches in a puff of blue smoke.
The way they appeared was familiar to Axel.
'Illusion magic, she must still be in the building'
Knowing that Luz was somewhere, Axel began to think about where a kid who loved fantasy would go.
'The library!'
Of course, that's where she would go. She was always liked hiding out in the library reading books about magic.

'Huh'
Axel had looked around the library, but there was no sign of Luz anywhere. Unless Luz was like Axel and was dressed as a scout.
'Could she be?'
With that thought Axel looked around at the various scouts that were dotted around the library.
It was more full than usual due to many more scouts having free time during lunch, though the time that Axel would usually get back from missions was fast approaching.
Axel had saw some kind of illusion magic when Luz and two other witches appeared from nowhere. So, there's a chance she was disguised as a scout somewhere.
Looking at the scouts Axel noticed that the kind of books they were reading wasn't something that he would think Luz would be into.
'Best Types of Frogs to use during Full Moon Potions' and 'A Record of Mamel Flying Beasts' were just a few of the books that scouts were reading while Axel looked around.
Several of the scouts gave Axel a dirty look as he looked, probably because he was interrupting their reading time.
With a shake of his head Axel went leave the library while thinking about where else Luz could be hiding, when Lilith walked right in front of the library.
And behind her? A blue orb that held his friend inside of it.
"Let me out!" Luz yelled trying to get enough friction to do anything to no success.
'You've done it now Axel'

Axel franticly looked around the castle.
Lilith had taken Luz somewhere, but he had no idea where she could have taken her.
Axel hadn't paid specific attention to Lilith, so he had no idea where she licked to go, where her room is, or anything like that.
He bet that if he asked another scout, they could probably answer every question that Axel had, but he worried that it would be too suspicious for him to ask that.
So, he searched alone. He searched high and low, until he was interrupted.
"Beetle?" Grape asked looking at Axel.
"Yes?" Axel quickly responded looking at the other scout.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Looking around the castle, just curious," Axel answered turning to Grape, "What are you doing?" he asked.
"Have you heard about the human that Ms. Lilith had captured?" Grape asked, "I was seeing if I could get a look at them," she answered.
"Why? Have you never seen a human before?" Axel asked.
"No, I've heard about them in school, but I've never seen a live one," Grape replied.
"Do you have any ideas where Lilith could have taken the human?" Axel then asked Grape.
"Has my searching have you interested?" Grape asked.
"You could say that," Axel replied.
"Well then come on, I think I know where her room is," Grape said before beginning to walk off.
"Then why were you searching around here?" Axel asked, following her.
"I thought she was stored away somewhere," Grape shrugged.
