Chapter 193 - Chapter 193: Tyrion

Chapter 193: Tyrion

In the original timeline, Daenerys had Drogo order the Dothraki to relinquish their plunder because she witnessed the killing and rape.

She allowed the Unsullied to conquer Astapor because she saw the Good Masters' cruelty in ordering the Unsullied to kill newborn babes.

And she nailed the Great Masters of Meereen to posts to avenge the slaves nailed along the road.

But none of this happened on Ian's ship.

In fact, the slaves didn't seem to resist, so the word 'slave' alone wasn't enough to activate the righteousness in Daenerys's blood.

Therefore, she refrained from demanding that Ian grant the slaves their freedom.

Seeing this, Ian knew his goal had been achieved.

Ian's initial plan was to have Daenerys tacitly allow slaves to exist 'under her rule' without subjecting them to inhumane torture.

"Furthermore," Ian pretended not to notice Daenerys's thoughts, "I also bought you two handmaids as servants. We left Pentos in a hurry and didn't bring many servants with us, but as Queen, you cannot be without attendants."

"Ah?" Daenerys's face flushed instantly. She suddenly thought of the handmaids Illyrio had bought for her and what they had taught her.

"Your Grace, are you feeling unwell?"

"No, I'm fine." Daenerys quickly shook her head. She realized that Lord Darry had no such intention.

She was no longer the commodity Viserys had sold for an army, but the Queen of Westeros, the Queen with dragons! She no longer needed to marry Drogo, and naturally, she didn't need to learn to please anyone.

But then, she remembered Ian's earlier jest: 'You can give yourself to me in exchange for an army.'

Damn it! She had hesitated for so many days about whether to accept Lord Darry's proposal, and he had actually done it! Daenerys glanced at Celia, growing angrier the more she thought about it.

"If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving now." Daenerys forgot that she was the one who had come to him first, and hurriedly took her leave.

"Your Queen seems angry." Celia looked at Ian with interest.

"I bet she's angry at you." Ian shrugged.

Celia was stunned for a moment, then realized what he meant and muttered, "You scoundrel."

"Alright, I'm giving you a new task: go and befriend Daenerys, and then tell our young Queen the story of Aegon the Conqueror."

"Tell her about his dragon? Balerion the Black Dread was over a hundred years old, and could swallow a mammoth whole when he opened his maw. Our Ion is nothing compared to him."

"Tell her that he had two wives, Visenya and Rhaenys." Ian corrected Celia's assumption.

"What?" Celia asked, bewildered. "Are you planning to give me a title or something?" She didn't think Ian would do such a thing.

"No," Ian shook his head, "I just want Daenerys to know that it's normal for a conqueror to have two wives, so having a mistress is even less of an issue, right?"

"You bastard..."

"I've said I'm not going to hide anything about this. Rather than planting a time bomb for the future, it's better for her to accept it herself."

"What if she can't accept it?"

"Then she just won't learn languages from you anymore, right? It's not a big deal. She'll still see herself as the victor in your rivalry."

Three days laterThe North

After leaving Winterfell, the Kingsroad gradually became a narrow path, barely larger than a game trail. The farmland receded, leaving only dense forests, and the population dwindled.

By the fifth day, the hills along the roadside had become mountains, resembling grey-blue giants bearing snow and steep cliffs.

A group of fewer than twenty men walked along this road, heading toward Castle Black.

Before leaving King's Landing to follow the King's host north, Tyrion had sworn to see the legendary Wall and, at that height of seven hundred feet, to piss off the edge and see if the winter winds would freeze his cock.

But he never imagined his wish would be fulfilled in this way...

Tyrion had always suspected something about his brother and sister's relationship, but when he was suddenly seized by Ser Boros Blount and told everything, he was still shocked.

He was then brought before Robert, and in the courtyard of Winterfell, he saw his sister's corpse with his own eyes. Robert's furious fists had nearly caved in her skull, and her beautiful but always repulsive face was now a bloody ruin.

Tyrion felt a wave of nausea, but he knew it wasn't the right time, for the enraged Robert wanted to slay the despicable 'Imp' to vent his wrath.

Fortunately, the honorable Lord Eddard... Tyrion swore, this was the first time in his life he felt Eddard Stark was so approachable, and his adherence to honor so admirable. The honorable Lord Eddard stopped Robert's indiscriminate killing and suggested that His Grace allow the guilty to take the black.

Wait, guilty? I take back what I just said about Eddard Stark's nobility, Tyrion thought to himself.

Guilty... Tyrion didn't know what crime he had committed. Was it because he was a Lannister? Or because he was a dwarf?

Probably because he was a Lannister dwarf.

If he wasn't the former, he wouldn't have been implicated at all. And if he wasn't the latter, he would have been used as a hostage to threaten Tywin, instead of having to choose between death and taking the black.

Tyrion looked up at his companions. The small party heading to Castle Black numbered only a dozen or so.

Leading them was Benjen Stark, Eddard Stark's brother, the Night's Watch's First Ranger—a man who had joined that brotherhood of cravens, thieves, and rapers for honor.

Behind Benjen was another fool, Jon Snow, completely oblivious to the meaning of the Night's Watch, his mind consumed by so-called honor.

If Jaime and Cersei's affair hadn't been exposed, Tyrion had originally planned to befriend the boy along the way—dwarfs had a natural affinity for bastards—but now, he'd lost all interest.

As for the third person in the group, Tyrion looked up with pity.

Joffrey, too, didn't understand the significance of this trip to Castle Black. He didn't even know that his mother had been killed by his father—or the man he temporarily assumed was his father. He simply saw it as a journey, a journey he was forced to undertake because of his father's orders.

Joffrey, fingering his sword 'Lion's Tooth,' remained arrogant throughout. He was unaware that Castle Black would be the end of his journey. From then on, the warm south, the bustling King's Landing, and the Iron Throne would be lost to him forever.

Tyrion didn't warn him, knowing that at Castle Black, plenty of men would be willing to help educate him.

Finally, Tyrion's gaze fell on Tommen.

He was the only one in the group who evoked Tyrion's true pity. Tommen had always been a sweet boy, but unfortunately, while Eddard Stark had persuaded Robert to spare the lives of the three children, he couldn't convince him to keep them by his side.

Ultimately, Robert decided to send Joffrey and Tommen to the Wall, while sending Myrcella back to King's Landing to become a septa at the Great Sept of Baelor.

He could only hope that Tommen could endure the harsh North and the hardships of the Night's Watch.

He could only hope that he himself could endure it, Tyrion thought with a self-deprecating smile.

If nothing unexpected happened, he'd probably be freezing in this barren, frigid land for the rest of his life. He wondered if there were whores at the Wall. If his cock really did freeze off, it would be a terrible loss for them.

The only good news was that the Night's Watch was unlikely to send a dwarf as a ranger, so at least he could spend the rest of his life on the Wall itself.

"Attack!" A rider's voice rang out, breaking Tyrion's thoughts.

He looked up and saw a large group of wildlings rushing out of the woods by the roadside.

(The Westeros storyline will primarily show only the parts that important characters from the original work see and that have a significant impact on the plot. The specific actions of other players will not be written in detail, otherwise the parts unrelated to the protagonist would be too lengthy.)
